Always prompt delivery. The little suede collapsable loafers are my basic everyday shoe 'slipper' for around the house/ popping out. Have them in three colours- black navy and tan, am eyeing up the rust too! Hope they bring back the dark green!

Excellent quality, British made and it shows.
Courier company not so good. Despite me notifying them of a safe place to leave my order (A Parcel Box located at the side entrance to my home) the order was left at my front door clearly visible to anyone walking past. Such a valuable order should not be put at such risk.

Couldn’t be happier with my new shoes, great quality and look and feel fantastic. Not my first pair so I knew what sizing to expect, but it’s good to be able to rely on their consistency.

Can’t say much about the quality. We all know how good that is! Sadly the shoes didn’t fit so returned them. Service was excellent with no hassle at all. Treat yourself to a pair- you deserve them!

It is very classic and of good quality shoes, I bought a few pairs, also for my husband. Those shoes support my feet more stable and comfortable. But a little confusing for the size. Some were not quite fit, even if they were all the same size. I had to return them and tried to get another size.

This is the second time I have purchased the Hurricane 2 boots in Whisky brown and I Guess "2nd times a charm!" Applies here.
I originally purchased a pair of Hurricane 2’s size 9 in February 2024, however after waiting over 2 weeks for them to arrive they looked like Shop soiled seconds. Covered in deep scratches and dust and the colour is nothing like the images on the website, more Conker brown than the Reddish hue, Not what you’d expect for over £400. Also the fit wasn’t that comfortable, but that was down to me as I later learned.
After contacting the customer service team I was told that the delay in delivery was due to them collecting them from their physical store then sending them to me, however no one had the presence of mind to inspect them before dispatch.
Being disappointed with them and rather underwhelmed by the level of customer service I returned the boots for a refund.

So after several months I decided to try again! However prior to this I had purchased a pair of Wingtip Derby boots from the Loake Norwich store, where they had advised me I’d been wearing far too large a size, I’m a 7.5 not 9 which I found hard to believe, however after breaking in they were perfect!!! I guess we get used to wearing what’s comfortable immediately rather than persevering like the old days for a better supportive fit.
So I visited the Cheaney Store in Cambridge to try the Hurricane’s again as I wanted something less dressy, more utilitarian!
If I’m honest I found the Salesman a little bit ignorant at the Cambridge Store. I walked in when the store was empty, and tried on the 7.5’s PERFECT!!! but as soon as someone else walked in he was off! He didn’t excuse himself or anything. He did the same again when a third person came in. He kept saying exactly the same thing "That’s the last pair of those!" to all 3 of us.
Not a successful sales ploy as it was so obvious, and myself and the other 2 people left without purchasing anything.
When I got home I immediately ordered the boots online, also I could split the payment with Klarna.

I have to admit that the Hurricane’s a whole other level of quality compared to the Loake’s I have, However customer service and care at Loake is a completely different league and experience than that of Cheaney’s

Joseph Cheaney & Sons has always been an excellent footwear company. I have been using Joseph Cheaney shoes for the past 50+ years and I have had no problem.
There is one issue that I would like changed, however, and that is Commando soles, along with the other types of soles, SHOULD be available as an option on all Chelsea Boots at purchase. The current system is where you purchase the boots first then have them returned under refurbishment and paying an additional fee of £150. After all we are now in 2025 and company strategy must change with the times. Their Customer Service has been second to none. Thank you Joseph Cheaney.
