New Motorhome
From meeting Dean and Evie at the Nec show and ordering our new motorhome, to picking it up a few weeks later at Camper Uk, my wife and I had complete faith and trust in this company that they would be refreshingly different from other dealerships that we had come across and that we wouldn’t be disappointed with our choices both to purchase from them and the motorhome we chose.
We had an unbelievably in depth handover from Gary who was just so easy to get on with and didn’t mind the many questions we threw at him.
We had a stay over at Camper uk’s Leisure park to get used to the van and check all was well. This is just a brilliant and stunning campsite, big shout out to John and Kelly there for looking after us.
We then returned to Camper Uk the next day to retrieve some items we’d managed to leave in the old van and check out a couple of minor issues but we must say that these were dealt with without hesitation. We managed to meet and speak to so many of the team, James, Julie, Alex, David, Simon, Harrison and Aaron who were all so friendly and willing to give advice and guidance. All in all a wonderful experience, so thank you Camper UK.

Customer service nightmare
These guys over the last few months have consistently let me down in dealing with ongoing service and maintenance issues. I’ll not go into all the details, but it resulted in me having to contact Dean Hyde, their MD. He was full of platitudes in detailing his commitment to customer service but it was all really just words, as his actions spoke louder and unless I chased nothing happened, there was zero proactive customer service.
While I’m sure many people have had positive experiences with them, I simply ask you this.
If you are going to spend £80-200k with them do you want to risk going through the customer service hell I’ve been subjected too? Might it be better to look elsewhere?

The bed in my nearly new motorhome had a problem, I was due to go away in it a week later. The guys at CamperUK fitted me in before my trip, they installed a new part and sorted an issue with the passenger door. Can't ask for more than that! Big shout out to Connor, James and Dave, thanks guys!

First visit
We visited yesterday and was very politely met by Dan. The first few minutes of any business and how you're dealt with are critical to continuing with the visit. From the start he was extremely helpful and obliging. We are wanting to purchase a Carthago liner for two or e line. He switched on the lights and showed us to each van but importantly left us alone to relax and look properly. He has offered us a test drive in an Iveco van and a Mercedes to compare which is excellent. Thank you

Initial sales great - post sales service is a joke
After buying our Motorhome from Camper UK two years ago, following the initial sales process (which was great), the servicing and warranty post-sales service is an absolute joke.
Not the quality of the work - the customer service / incorrect information, and communication - to the point where the team lies to cover up their incompetencies! This isn’t once, but has now happened every time we have been back to Camper UK. We have been told the work has been completed when it hasn’t (after leaving the motorhome for a week with them), and then had to wait hours or on one occasion had to get the train back home and pick it up the following week - this week after leaving the Motorhome for 2 weeks for service, MOT and some warranty work, and after having received confirmation all work was finished, and asking when we could collect it, we sent a confirmation e-mail to confirm and make it clear we needed a quick turnaround to get home for a meeting - on arrival nothing appeared to be ready and we were told it would be a 10 minute wait whilst they moved vehicles around to get ours out. After 1.5 hours and numerous complaints, we finally discovered that even after all the confirmations that all work was completed, they had ‘forgot’ to carry out all the work!! This is the 4th time this has happened - not a one-off!! - if our warranty wasn’t through Camper UK we would not be going back! All it took was a call, but there appears to be no management coordination between the team on the desks and the team carrying out the work - manage your customers expectations and don’t tell lies!

To clarify, your MOT and service were completed as planned. The only outstanding item at that stage was the awning light replacement, which was still awaiting completion. We advised that once all work was finished, we would contact you to confirm and arrange a suitable collection time.
However, three days later we received a message from you outside of working hours informing us that you would be collecting the motorhome the following morning, as you needed to get back home for an online Teams meeting. As this had not been confirmed by our team, and the awning light work was still pending, the vehicle was not yet ready for collection at that time.
We understand this caused frustration, but our team followed the correct process to ensure all work was completed properly before releasing the vehicle.

A special mention to Jack at camper UK, as well as all of those involved in the assistance, help and accommodating manner that we experienced as a result of a rather unusual catastrophic overhead bed failure on our Burstner elegance. Not only did we encounter nothing but a completely professional and helpful staff but the willingness to assist in any way possible to very kindly squeeze us in and help resolve the issues. Since your review, our General Manager has attempted to reach you via phone and email, as we would have liked the opportunity to discuss this with you directly. Speaking to the salesman, he mentioned he respond to your enquiry the same day and provided an initial indication for what we would offer for your part exchange. He acknowledges that you wanted further information on the Burstner, however as the van is yet to arrive on stock he believes the conversation was left that he would touch base when the motorhome was present at the dealership. The vehicle you enquired is not due for another couple of weeks, but we understand there was a gap of a week from initial enquiry to the time of your review and a update could have prevented a negative experience.
Your enquiry was logged and not forgotten, but we appreciate that clearer updates would have been helpful. If you would still like an update on the vehicle in question or would like to speak directly with our General Manager, please don’t hesitate to contact us – we would very much welcome the opportunity to put things right.

On our initial visit we were warmly greeted by Richard who informed us we can view current stock & he’d be available to answer any questions we may have, “no pushy salesman” in sight. We did look at other Campervan dealers but the service from Camper UK felt honest & reliable. So we contacted Richard who advised, guided & answered all of our questions, as a result that is where we bought our van. The handover from Gary was a thorough affair, his is someone who knows his stuff and all about the vehicles. With a pleasant manner he explained the operation of our new van as well as some user tips to keep our van in prestige condition. Overall our purchase of a camper van from Camper UK was pleasant, positive experience.
