Overall the project went well. But finish quality is terrible, any minor contact removes top finish and shows white base coat. I've never experienced a worse paint finish on anything. We fortunately b... Vis mer

they are deceiving
they are deceiving. they rob people by changing the prices over and over and over and then they damage your cabinets and unless you look for everything you'll never know where its damaged... right now they have a lot of doors, drawers, cabinets, kickplate, molding and both sides of the refrigerator... they screwed this kitchen up so bad i could never recommend them to anyone including my worst enemy.... how disgusting to think they did this damage to my cabinets and then didnt have the decency to say anything... that's called deceit, that's called robbing someone by trying to pass off a damaged product... cabinets to go should be shut down
Absolutely the worst experience
Absolutely the worst experience. Bess was my sales rep. When the cabinets arrived, I had my contractor assemble them and place them in the pantry. They forgot to send a whole package of cabinet door hinges as well as the shelf clips. I called numerous times with no response. Then I was shorted quarter round. They wanted to charge me $245 to deliver a piece of quarter round that they did not put in the order!!!! Customer service was no help, Bess was no help. They do NOT take care of their customers after the sale is done and the money is paid. I will never refer them or use them again.
Don't buy from Cabinets To Go
Don't buy from Cabinets To Go. They don't stand by their product. They delivered several broken cabinets and would not replace the broken items because of their 30 day policy. Which I understand return policies however I spent $15,000 in cabinets and told the sales person I will not be able to open these for several months due to the build of my home, she should have verbally informed me about their policy and told me to open and inspect immediately... she just gave a high pressured sales pitch to beat the sale expiration instead. When you spend that much money you would at least hope to get some sort of customer satisfaction and replace a part that costs them very little money but instead I was treated very poorly, rudely and dismissed. Because the bottom line is the cabinets were damaged whether it was within 30 days or 6 months later.
"Cabinets to Go" has not provided good service
I don't like writing bad reviews about companies since I expect them to provide good service. Cabinets to Go in Columbia, SC has not provided good service. The timing of cabinet installation was good but "everything else" was and is not. The installers drilled holes in drawers for different hardware than what I selected. The company was to replace those drawers allowing installation of the hardware selected. Though stated that this would occur many times, it has not occurred. Also, the refrigerator cabinet is too small. Though our old and new refrigerator were larger, the company did not take accurate measurements. Similarly, several times company officials said this would be corrected. It has not been and our refrigerator is much larger than the refrigerator enclosure. There are other issues, all of which the company is aware but has not resolved. I am disappointed and had no choice but to write this review which reflects inaction and not good service.
I ordered a large size kitchen I was…
I ordered a large size kitchen I was installing myself in my. Mountain cabin property I opted to have the cabinets delivered to the Spokane store for pick up since a semi couldn’t make it where I live . I did the design with a awesome lady out of Virginia she has been great. However when I opened the first box the lazy Suzzy it was damaged I contacted her and she immediately submitted a warranty claim for me and that’s where it hasn’t been fun. They will not send me the 2 turn tables to my house but expect me to drive over 3 hours away to the Spokane store to pick them up. Said because I didn’t pay for shipping to my house . I said what am I supposed to do open all the boxes in the parking lot before I leave and check for damage ? I will not order from them again over this absolutely absurd .
If I could give less than 1 star I would
If I could give less than 1 star I would. We ordered a full kitchen from Cabinets to Go and paid for them to install because they said any other installer would void the warranty. Their installers did a horrible job and I have been trying to get resolution for the faulty installation as well as the chipping cabinets for a YEAR AND A HALF with no resolution. They keep passing me from one rep to another with no resolution.
Do purchase cabinets from this company EVER. They are the worst and don't stand behind their product or workmanship.
Cabinets-To-Go; had a great experience
My wife and I live in Tucson. We are in process of a bathroom remodel and were in the market for a new vanity. We found Cabinets-to-Go online.
We were met with a warm greeting by Lisa Figueroa, Kitchen Sales Specialist, at your local store here in Tucson.
Lisa was very knowledgeable on the various products and took plenty of time to listen and ensure that we found what we were looking for.
My wife and I both decided on-the-spot, that we were ready to make the purchase.
Our vanity was delivered to the store a week sooner than expected. Upon pick-up, Lisa confirmed with me the order; then one of her crewmembers assisted me in loading it all into my truck.
I highly recommend Lisa and her team for their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine caring for our satisfaction in their product.
I reached out to this place before…
I reached out to this place before buying my cabinets online and nobody got back to me ! I even called and was told they would but nope. It makes me think I must have dodged a bullet .
Better options out there then CTG
Purchased cabinets at CTG in Raleigh, NC for a property outside this area. The service was great until the order was put in. The store designer I worked with made errors on some height calculations which my installer worked around and she also forgot to add some panels which were on the design drawings but not on the order. When I got the missing pieces ordered after the first order shipped they wanted another $249 shipping fee for their error. When trying to contact the store to help get this resolved, Porscher which I worked with just ignored us and never called or emailed back. Customer service was also no better and unwilling to help claiming issue had to be worked with the store. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the service I received which is too bad since these looked to be quality cabinets, just not worth the experience.
Pass on this Company
Our experience with Fort Myers, Florida Cabinets to go was horrible. One small, stock material kitchen island took over two months to complete. Our salesperson Michelle forgot to send us documents to sign which delayed just ordering the island by three weeks. She didn’t forget to collect the money in full, more on that later. When the pieces were delivered we had to wait for their subcontracted installers to come. The installers came about five days later, they immediately noticed that we were missing two cabinets. Michelle forgot to order them. She blamed their new computer system but the installer noticed that the cabinets were not on the order when he looked at the invoice. He still came to our house hoping he was wrong.
Michelle turned this order over to her manager, Alex. Why because now we had to pay sn additional $900 for the two cabinets. Had we known the actual total cost we would have passed. Now we had so much time invested we decided to move forward.
Alex did get us a refund of $150 and did get the cabinets to us quickly. However he misread an email I sent him, called me and started screaming and cursing at me. Very professional.
The two missing cabinets were delivered to the store not my home. A week later the installers were able to return. Although Alex told me he would have the installers pick up the cabinets he didn’t. Fortunately I was able to tell them they had to go pick up the cabinets before they got to my house. Now they come and install. They find Michelle had ordered a panel we didn’t need. We took it back to the store. Alex said they wouldn’t charge us the restocking fee! Unbelievable! They gave us a credit receipt. The credit showed up on our credit card but it was $74 less than the receipt. I called Alex. Apparently yet another Michelle mistake. Alex once again started screaming on the phone. I could have pushed and won the issue but I let it go.
We were new to Fort Myers and not familiar with Cabinets to Go. Had we read the reviews we would have passed on this company. The quality is below average, the staff is incompetent and extremely rude. The service is horrendous. Do yourselves a favor, keep looking!
Buyer beware
At first the team at the Monroeville, PA store seemed great but once my order had issues they apparently washed their hands of my order. A piece was all of the sudden out of stock and delayed the order by one week. After finally receiving the cabinets one was out of square and the channels had to be hand chiseled out because nothing lined up. The locking mechanism would not lock and would need to be manually fixed to make it remotely stable. I called customer service and they assured me a new cabinet would be shipped immediately. After waiting a week to receive the replacement I called again and it was delayed another week. At this point, over a month into the process I still don't have a replacement. Customer service kept reiterating damage and quality issues are in the terms and conditions and they are not liable for delays or problems nor will they accept a return after the product is removed out of the box. My countertop installer will arrive tomorrow and I am going to have to pay a contractor additional money to make what I have work so I'm not another week or two behind.
Like many others on this company
Like many others on this company, I wish I had read the reviews about this company before stepping through their door. Turned out to be a stressful situation. We worked with the Greensboro store on Market Str. We started a project with them designing a complete remodel of our L-shaped kitchen in July 2022. Paid in full (over $22,000) in mid-Sept 2022. They told us our cabinets would arrive mid-October, so we gutted our kitchen to have it ready. By mid-Oct. they said no..it would be more like November. November came and were told nope...would be late December. Mind you we are without a kitchen this whole time. And we were never told the cabinets are put together with plastic camlocks which will easily break. We finally received cabinets late December and when the guys came to install, we were still missing a cabinet that actually was never ordered. By then I was over it. I went to the store and told the manager we wanted our money back, I was not waiting any longer for anymore cabinets. That this whole thing is getting too stressful. But it seems all of a sudden, they could get the one cabinet we were missing in a week. We said no. So, we started the refund process in late January and returned all the unopened cabinets to their warehouse Jan. 25/26th. We finally received our refund on Mon Feb. 27th a month later. Still in the meantime we are living with no kitchen because we needed our refund to start the process all over with someone new. The store manager was rude and not very helpful at all in answering our questions on our refund. He absolutely refused to give us anyone's number to the AR dept or the person handling our refund so we could talk with them and get some answers that he was not giving us. We asked three times in emails for contact information, and he simply refused to give us any information/phone numbers. I finally called the 1-800 customer number and spoke with a very nice lady named Pam. She called me back within 10 minutes to tell me what was going on with our refund. I would give them (not Pam) 0 stars if they had that option on here. I agree with the other reviews....STAY away from cabinets to go!!!!
Horrible quality
Horrible quality. Cabinets are held together by plastic clips that eaisly break! Wrong parts in the boxes had to stop and wait for new parts to be shipped. When I finally did get the correct parts and finished the installation, 2 of the cabinet doors were made too small. Contacted cabinets to go again and I was told the order was over 60 days old so they would not replace the doors. STAY AWAY FROM CABINETS TO GO-HORRIBLE SERVICE and HORIBLE QUALITY!!!
Go somewhere else…anywhere else. Spokane, WA
Go somewhere else…anywhere else.
We paid for our cabinet order on October 25th, 2022. It is now February, and we still don’t have a functioning kitchen. It isn’t like we haven’t been through this rodeo before. I’ve been hands-on and involved in well over one-hundred kitchen remodels over the last 20 years working as a designer, manufacturer, and installer. On to my experience…
The ordering and design process seemed to go smoothly. Our salesperson was attentive and accommodating and I had no qualms about that portion of the process—until the cabinets arrived. They delivered my order and it was short the big pantry cabinet, the largest cabinet on the order. The first cabinet I needed to install was the corner cabinet. Because of the layout of our kitchen, we have a corner sink base. What was in there before was a 42” corner sink base—we were swapping same-sized cabinets with these to update the look and replace the MDF builder cabinets our house came with 20 years ago. What the plat view of our design showed for this cabinet was the code SBCD42. That may not mean anything to anyone unfamiliar with the 20/20 design software used by cabinet companies, but that means it is supposed to be a sink base, corner, depth 42”. It did have the hashes on that cabinet noting that there was an issue with their catalog, but my wife and I were assured by our salesperson that when the order was placed it would be the correct cabinet. It wasn’t. Eventually, after several escalations, I was gifted the opportunity to pay a 25% fee to have them take their cabinet back and build my own at my expense where I had to buy the paint from them to match the rest of the cabinets (I agreed to this resolution on December 27th, it took until January 25th for the return). Why didn’t they just send a 42” corner sink base—Cabinets To Go doesn’t make one (why they sold me one is beyond me).
The whole time dealing with this issue, I couldn’t deal with anyone at the store. I had to call their 800 number and deal with the service reps who are outsourced to somewhere with people who couldn’t even pronounce my name, which isn’t difficult. I had an issue with our pantry cabinet being damaged—I didn’t even attempt that circus again—I just spent three hours in my shop fixing it...better than three hours on the phone.
Once the cabinets were installed, we called to initiate the templates for the countertops we purchased through them. The subcontractor came out, did the template, and had us scheduled for an installation in a reasonable amount of time. When they showed up to install our quartz countertops, they were dark grey—they were supposed to be white. Apparently, when Cabinets To Go processed our order, it defaulted to the first color in the alphabet which was “Antiquity.” I again had to call their 800 number to get this fixed. I was told they were going to “rush” it. I got the date for my installation yesterday and it is going to be 3 days longer to fix the issue than it was between them doing the template and attempting the first install. The countertop guys (a subcontractor) have been great. It wasn’t their issue, Cabinets To Go sent the order for the wrong paperwork to them.
We’ve been out of a functioning kitchen for months at this point (I expected several weeks, but two months is beyond crazy). All our kitchen items are stored in our offices—so my wife and I have a reminder all day long that Cabinets To Go sucks (aside from not having a functioning kitchen). We budgeted for 3 weeks of not having a functioning kitchen (ordering food etc.) and have blown way past that through no fault of our own. Have they offered anything but more work for me and headaches…nope.
Kitchen remodels are expensive. You pay upfront with trust and understanding that whomever you are working with is going to reasonably take care of you. The fact is, the Cabinets To Go store can’t do anything but sell to you. They don’t handle damages, issue replacements or refunds, or even communicate with you about when things are going to happen. Go somewhere else…anywhere else.
Cabinets to go in clackamas oregon this…
Cabinets to go in clackamas oregon this is the worst place to go. We ordered a complete kitchen in June 2022. Nicole the store manager was more than happy to take our money up front. Months past never got call, email as to when are kitchen was due to put in. I went to the store a few times, since no one answer the phone or returns VM. Nicole would hide in the back of the store making her associates tell us are cabinets were delayed. This went on for several month {6 months). I also tried to call the main store in Tennessee talked to Gloria {customer service} she too was no help and did not care. The answer I got from her was that the company changed vendors overseas Wow never was told to us by Nicole (I mean she ghost me after the money was given} plus the date was pushed out to March and that was even a big maybe. The final outcome we got our money back (2 weeks later} except for the 99.00 measurement which we cannot use because it turns out they were wrong (do not have them do that either the contractor is a friend of Nicole. the guy also broke my window valence and did not ask to replace it. ) Cameron (store associate) stated by email " you need to fight with Gloria over that ". I cannot stress enough how bad this store is due yourself a favor go to a different place. After the lies and deceit, we will have a complete kitchen within 6 - 8 weeks at a better price. The new people are soooo nice. Do not go to cabinets to go you will soon see if you go with them, it will be a HUGE MISTAKE .
I wished I read these reviews before I…
I wished I read these reviews before I gave them my money - they are spot on. This place is a joke - The Indiana store, store manager Tim and the regional manager Zack Monk are useless and incompetent. Customer Service is no better. For 3 months my kitchen was not usable (my job was super simple - one wall of new cabinets where the old ones existed), they made mistake after mistake, the never called when the new pieces arrived, they never called to schedule installation, they didn't even finish the job. I had to hire my own cabinet installer and pay additional money to get the job finished. After filing a complaint with the BBB - because no one from cabinets to go would call me back - not even Tim the store manager who I gave my money to - they failed to respond to the BBB. They clearly don't care about their business, and they are not capable of doing the job. Not responding to the BBB says it all.
Customer Service Management team needs to be fired
I've used Cabinets to Go a couple of times. The first time was wonderful. We got the cabinets, assembled them and installed them. It went pretty smoothly. I recently ordered cabinets for my daughter's home in a different city.
Valerie in the Columbus, OH store was wonderful. She laid out the design, made sure all of the details were thought out, ... 5 stars for her service.
When I got to my daughter's place, the delivery guys who brought the cabinets were terrific too. They had to bring the boxes up a flight of stairs and carefully deposited them where I asked them to leave it. 5 stars to the delivery team in Albuquerque, NM.
Unfortunately when we opened up 2 of the 12 cabinets, a couple of the plastic pieces were broken (the cam lock pieces). So I called the local Albuquerque store to see if they had replacement pieces. They did not and told me to call customer service. 3 stars to the local store. It is a common piece across all of their cabinets. why don't they inventory those cheap parts that stop the cabinet assembly?
I called the customer service line and spoke to Bobby. This is where it went downhill quickly. Bobby was polite, but not useful at all. I explained that I needed these $2 parts to complete the job and because I was in a different city, I was going to renovate her kitchen in a week so I needed these parts ASAP. Her response was that they could get us parts in 7-10 days. I asked if they could make an exception and I'd be willing to pay for FedEx shipping. her answer was "no". They apparently have no system for replacing their broken parts. I asked if I could speak to her manager. Her response was He's not here. I asked, could you call him? Her response "I don't know who my manager is." ARE YOU KIDDING? This conversation went on for some time. Needless to say, I was frustrated and pissed off that they couldn't get me $2 plastic part before I had to leave! I'd give their Customer "Service" a negative 5 stars. Bobby was probably following the rules she had been given, but the managers of Customer Service should be fired for not providing policies/guidance for emergencies and exceptions and for not even letting their service teams know who their boss is! If I were Cabinets to Go's senior management, I'd clean house on the Customer Service team's management and start over with competent people. If my call was recorded, they should listen to the call and they will see problems that they clearly haven't ever thought about, if they think at all.
In the meantime, I will call Cabinets to Go to see about getting part of my money back. Unbelievable!
10 Months Without Cabinets!!!
We placed an order in January 2022. It is now October 2022 and we still have not received our cabinets. We reached out to both the branch and customer care and were told we may receive them on November 2022. This is holding up the CO for our new home. Cabinets To Go doesn't appear to care about keeping their word or keeping their customers!
DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!
I began my relationship with this company on 11/11/2021 when I finalized my kitchen cabinet order in your Hartford store. I am still involved with this company trying to get the cabinets installed correctly and to get substandard issues fixed.
The cabinets were installed around the last week of November, but one drawer was broken. A gentleman came by and we discussed some of the problems. He said that the workmen would work out the issues once they had come back to install the broken drawer front.
November, December, January, February, middle of March and the broken drawer was finally delivered. I called the Hartford store to let them know that the drawer had been delivered and we could schedule a date for the workmen to come back. I called several times and was told that the workmen would be calling me. No such call.
March, April, May, and the week of June 13th I get a call and the workman set up an appointment for later in the week. The day of the appointment, the workman called back, said he couldn't make it today, so we rescheduled for the next week. This time the workman, there was only one this time, attached the drawer and we discovered that the drawer front he had just assembled and installed was bowed outward and didn’t align fully with the drawer below it. The workman told me that this was about as good as it was going to get. He screwed in a screw that had been left unscrewed. We then moved to the cabinets that had doors that were not aligned with the sides of the cabinet and two drawers that squeaked really bad. At the bottom of the cabinets, some had nail covers others did not. He took pictures of most of the issues with his phone and said he would send them to me and then I would have to call the customer care phone number because he didn’t handle anything like what we were seeing.
I called the Customer care number and spoke with someone. Though it was very difficult to understand his English, I was able to get across the problems. He wanted me to send him pictures of everything that was wrong. I told him I was not very competent with doing this, but I would do my best. It took a couple of tries, but I got it done; now there was another problem. One of the lower cabinet doors had come away from the hinges and was about to fall off. I told him and sent him a picture. He said he would send me a Docusign document to begin the process. We went through the Docusign process twice before I received it. He called to tell me about the second Docusign attempt and to tell me that the cabinet door that fell off was no longer under warranty and I would have to order another one for over $400! I had a copy of the warranty and it said that the cabinets were warrantied for as long as I had them.
I’m sorry but I believe my experience with this company has been outrageous and continues to be.I asked for a contact that I could talk to about the warranty and was told I could not get that. You mean to tell me that a kitchen cabinet doesn’t even last a year? I have no idea how long it will take before this process is complete and I can be done with this company. I believe this company needs to stand by its products and installation. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!
Definitely a HORRIBLE experience
Definitely a HORRIBLE experience. I was informed that the things I was purchasing were in stock and would take no longer than 2 weeks. I made the purchase in February 2022 and fast forward to June 2022, I JUST finally received most of the things. BUT, after a couple of weeks from getting the door installed on my Lazy Suzy, it broke off this week. I'm still waiting on my refund for my sink rack that I never received that was ordered several months ago as well. I inquired directly from a representative in Dearborn and of course no follow-up received. I inquired via Customer Care and was informed I would need to contact the store. I went directly to the store in Dearborn, MI and was told they would credit my account and they haven't to date. There was delay after delay, wrong parts being delivered, lack of follow-up, etc. and NO compensation. I could go on and on, but 4 months later (not 2 weeks), there are still issues. I will NEVER purchase from them again.
