absolutely pathetic
absolutely pathetic. they lie they steal. Intentionally miss pieces from an order so they can come back and absolutely rape. You with pricing. Stay away from these dishonest people. Quality of the installation is bad as well.
Horrible Tampa office
Horrible Tampa office. They screwed up the measurements, ordered the wrong cabinet and take no responsibility. Rich/Nicole never called to straighten out the situation or even apologize. THEY TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR MISTAKES!!!!
BUYER BEWARE
Subject Complaint Regarding Quality Issues with Kitchen Cabinet Interface Chipping and 'LIFETIME' Warranty discrepancy.
I purchased kitchen cabinets from Cabinets To Go. Shortly after installation in 2020, I began to notice significant chipping on the interfaces of the cabinet doors and drawers. This chipping has continued to worsen over time, despite the cabinets being used under normal residential conditions and maintained according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Attempts to Resolve: I have contacted Cabinets To Go Customer Care to address this issue and obtain replacement panels for 2 of the cabinets. Despite providing detailed descriptions, photographs of the damage, and proof of purchase, the responses have been unsatisfactory. The supervisor at the company claimed that wear and tear and chipping of paint is not covered under the Lifetime Warranty. This limitation, however, is not included in the Sales Order paperwork that we originally signed. Regardless of this discrepancy, Cabinets To Go has offered inadequate solution and said that we would need to pay to replace the panels.
The chipping not only detracts from the aesthetic appeal of my kitchen but also raises concerns about the long-term durability and quality of the cabinets. Given the significant investment I made in these cabinets, I am extremely disappointed with the product's performance and the company's response to my concerns.
Shame on me for not reading reviews…
Shame on me for not reading reviews before I purchased their product and services. Our journey to purchase cabinets and countertops for our laundry room, mud room and pantry began over 3 months ago. The project is still incomplete. NOTE: CTG required payment in full prior to beginning the project. That should have been the first RED FLAG. During our visit to their showroom in Charleston, SC, they gave us a quote and a contract to sign which required payment in full (almost $18,000). Then they sent a contractor out to verify our measurements (an additional charge of $99), after which CTG notified us that we will need to pay an additional $1300 to complete the project. We did so. The cabinets were shipped to our house a few weeks later and stored in our garage until they could schedule the install yet another few weeks later. The install took twice as long than anticipated because the contractor and his team worked only about 5 hours a day and didn't show up every day. Then the contractor informed us that one of the cabinets was too big for the space (for which he had verified the measurements) and they were going to need to send a smaller cabinet. I received a phone call from CTG that this smaller cabinet would cost a few hundred dollars more. A few weeks later, the smaller cabinet arrives, we have to again wait for scheduling the completion of the install. Next, we had to wait several more days for CTG to send out yet another contractor to verify the measurements for the countertops we had purchased and paid for. This contractor informed us they don't have the counters which we had selected in the showroom, so we had to select another countertop, and pay another $1200. Additionally, it would take 2-3 weeks to schedule the installation. At this point, we had had enough. We told our salesperson to cancel the countertops, because we would purchase them elsewhere. He told us no problem. Days go by and I keep asking about the countertop refund (over $3,000). He finally contacts us and says they will issue the refund to our credit card but will withhold over $400 for the cost of the countertop measurements. So here we are, over 3 months later, with no countertops and still bickering with CTG while they hold our funds. This has been a nightmare! Stay away from CTG!
Worst cabinet company in America
We ordered our cabinets, and they had a contractor come out for the measurements. He measured but did not write anything down. When he turned his measurements in, they were wrong. Next, we were told that contractor had been released by Cabinets to go. I later learned it was because one of his helpers was a sex offender. Seems they don't vet their contractors.
The new contractors came out using the original wrong measurements. Of course it didn't work. Their work was like they were installing them in an industrial setting, not in a residential setting. The work and wrong measurements caused them to re-order cabinets and find a 3rd contractor.
Ultimately, we were without our kitchen for almost 3 months. I contacted the owner of Cabinets To Go and he basically did not care and got mad that I confronted him about poor service and the lack of concern of disabled veterans. I learned about all of his family that served, everyone but him, thus his lack of care. He gave me the opinion that he was just a piece of crap that sat at the top of the hill and looked down on everyone else.
I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone. The ownership all the way down totally sucks, except our sales lady that could do absolutely nothing because the company would get mad at her if she tried.
STAY AWAY FROM HERE.
Horrible situation and horrible subcontractor
I had my kitchen remodel with new cabinets, new counter tops, back splash and floors by Cabinets to Go. After they installed the cabinets I had to call Stone Systems of Atlanta to set up for measurements for the counter tops and back splash. I had paid for Arista Quartz counter tops and back splash. After the measurements they came out to install them about two week later. That day I found out the back splash was cut to fit on both sides of the stove and nothing behind the stove. I wanted a complete slab behind the stove and Cabinet to Go knew what I wanted. I called CTG and Stone Systems of Atlanta without good results. I called Stone System of Atlanta and asked to speak to a supervisor or manager. Latisha came to the phone. She said because the stove was not there during measurements they had
to cut the stone and that I had signed the contract that the stove will be there. I had signed the contract unknowingly that the stove will be there and no one advised me that the stove should be there. As the conversation progressed she said that I had to pay for that slab all over again at $1100.00. I did not understand why they cut the stone and why I had to pay to correct the problem. After going around and around I agreed to pay half of the $1100.00 to complete the job. I thought that was unfair to pay for something and when it goes wrong the buyer have to cover the cost. My attorney made me aware that I had signed the contract through Cabinets to Go. I thought that was a horrible situation and a horrible subcontractor.

Refused to honor warranty claiming the damage to my cabinet door is water damage. You would have to soak it for a long time to have this kind of problem, which I have not done. They also chip very easily. Do not expect coverage if you have a damaged cabinet.
Cabinets to Go Review
Cabinets to Go Review
If you are thinking of a kitchen upgrade/remodel like cabinets and countertops “DO NOT” go to cabinets to go, I cannot say this loudly enough. In November 2023 we had a water leak that destroyed a bedroom and the kitchen cabinets.
We hired a contractor to repair floors and walls. We got quotes from several places for cabinets and countertops, Cabinets to Go was one of those estimates. After considering all the bids we decided to use Cabinets to Go. We were told by management at the local store that if they used our measurements any cabinets that were wrong would be our responsibility, we paid to have their guy come and do the measurements. On February 6 2024 we wrote them a check for almost 18K for cabinets, countertops, sink, faucet and the delivery and install, then the nightmare started.
A week later we were told there was a delay and our cabinets were not going to be there for another week, we already had contractors lined up for other work that required the cabinets to be there. The week of arrival I had to call to find out where my cabinets were, I was told by the manager “they are here and I could come pick them up whenever I wanted.” I told him that I paid for delivery why would I pick them up? I was told they would get someone to deliver them. 2 days later one really small guy shows up in a truck with the cabinets and expects me to help unload.
After the install contractor showed up and assisted with the unload they got to work assembling cabinets, I was excited but that would soon fade. One of the installers came and wanted to show me something, we went in the house and the cabinets that were to go on either side of the kitchen window were to large ( they hung over the side of the window by 3 or 4 inches). So that’s a call to the boss and stop work (remember I paid for them to do the measurements) wait for the boss to show up and take more measurements the another 2 weeks for replacement cabinets, no attempt at expediting the process while I have other contractors that we were on the verge of losing for some time.
Finally cabinets show up and the upper ones get installed now to the bottom, the Lazy Susan for the corner was wrong (too big) can’t open doors. Manager tells me they are not going to be able to install Lazy Susan, my reply was if you can’t install what you measured/planned and I paid for to refund my money, come get your cabinets and I will go somewhere else and start over, Manager replied there would be a 25% restocking fee. I about lost my mind. Calls to customer service are not any better, handled by foreigners that can only say “sorry for the inconvenience” and “I feel your frustration” and then call the store manager and get him to call you with some lame excuse. Meanwhile discover the faucet we paid for is not there, call to the store “yeah sorry that was discontinued” we will have to issue a refund and they only mail them once a week from Tennessee. Now we have to go source our own faucet.
Another 2 weeks and they come up with a Lazy Susan that will work, finally the cabinets are installed and ready for countertops. That contractor shows up and measures and tells me it will take about a week to get the cut and ready for install. One week later on delivery day I get a call not going to happen they broke them putting on the truck. Another week and another day off work and finally the kitchen is done it is now first part of April 2024.
Still waiting for refund for cabinets that were too large and were returned. I can’t say enough DO NOT use these people for anything no matter how much less they are than the other guy. You have to constantly stay on top of them, they will not call you and tell you what is going on, no apologies or discount offer for any inconvenience at all nothing once they get your check.
Finally got refund check 15 June 2024.
The only good to come out of it is now my wife is now happy.
Terrible!!!
Terrible experience here. Too bad I can't give zero stars.
We arrived and were asked by the manager, Angela, to move our vehicle so their semi truck could deliver the cabinets. She showed us exactly where to park our car. Less than 5 minutes later our brand new car was hit by their semi truck! The driver was not nice even though it was his fault. Long story short, Cabinets to Go will not take any responsibility for this event (our vehicle would have been safe had we not moved it to the spot Angela asked us to).
Tried contacting the regional manager - Mike Wilson. He won't even respond to our emails. Terrible customer relations!!!
After many months - and almost $11,000 worth of damage, we have spent countless hours dealing with the body shop, rental cars, insurance, etc. Cabinets to Go has apparently washed it's hands of us!
As a customer......... service of the upmost…
As a customer.......service of the upmost important, how a business treat you after taking your money is very important. There are a lot of con artist, contractors, and people that will rip you off and treat you like crap ......Customer service in this company is nonexistent, especially with the Bergen county location, the person who I gave my cabinet measurements to over estimated the materials when I told the manager Mike about it he said he could pick up the excess materials but he would charge me $250. I then told him that this was not my fault and I shouldn't have to pay for shipping..... is this went on for a ridiculous couple of months... I guess they hope that I would get tired of calling
Follow your instincts and read all the reviews had I read the reviews left by other customers I would not have used this company I believe it was very simple and inexpensive for them to solve this problem..... they told me that these cabinets are guaranteed for life. I hate to have to come back to them for any kind of warranties.
We purchased kitchen cabinets and…
We purchased kitchen cabinets and counters for our kitchen from the store in Hartford, CT. We provided precise measurements of the kitchen and still two mistakes were made by the person who wrote up our order for the size cabinet that would fit in the space provided. Upon return of the cabinets, we had to fight to not be charged the 20% re-stocking fee and were not given the new cabinet at the sale price even though the error was theirs. Also, we were charged for pulls because the person who wrote it up put them in the pictures, on her own accord, to show us what it would look like. Upon return - again- the 20% restocking fee. The person that wrote up our order was not informed and therefore did not inform us about everything. Clearly more training of their staff is needed. The timing and quality of the cabinets was to our satisfaction. The butcher block counter top was of poor quality and we were not told anything about how it was to be installed (they do not provide an installer) or that it needed to be sealed. Again, lack of information and knowledge of their own products. Most of the staff was professional. We purchased in January 2024 and did the kitchen ourselves so it was finally completed with the correct size cabinets in March 2024. Advice: Ask lots of questions and make sure you check and re-check what they are selling you (your invoice) so you don't get stuck with the 20% restocking fees. You need to really know what you are doing and don't trust that the person writing you up knows what they are talking about; because they don't.
Cabinets-to-Go
Cabinets-to-Go: Friendly sales person, and cabinets at reasonable prices, but that’s where the good part ends. Installer nightmare! When they came out and did measurements, they measured too long, didn’t use my measurements and ended up installing the cabinets over a light switch. The installers response was we do that all the time you just need to fix it. The sales manager said the installer should have stopped, called with new measurements, and waited for the right cabinets. When I contacted cabinets to go about this issue, they refused to do anything said they would send out an installer, but that was almost a month ago, and after six messages still nothing. One of the cabinets that they installed is a corner cabinet that has an interior section where items will fall through the cabinets and be lost forever . I’m not sure why they didn’t have a closed panel cabinet versus a door panel without a door. And finally, the installer cut off the waterline so short to my vanity and kitchen sink that my plumber had to go under the house and re-run the lines. And once again, no response from cabinets to go on any type of resolution to make it right. Good luck!
Avoid
The woman that helped us got the order wrong and we received no assistance. I would not recommend this place al all.
The communication issues frim the start…
The communication issues frim the start to end. The only concern they had is for us ti sign the contract so we could get the discount of %40 which very appealing, but to caused alot of time constraints on the planning and the design especially that we were out of the country for a family event. The cabinets we wanted and designed was not what we got and again communication fron the installation team to the counter did not happen until we realized they did not the counter team know that the kitchen is ready for the counter. The team left all the cardboard and mess from insulation in the meddle of the kitchen. We never got the %40 discount. We are not happy with kitchen at all. Too many issues.
Hotel California Email Subscription… You Can Never Leave
I am an independent contractor and have installed cabinets from Cabinets To Go. Unfortunately, a lot of the one star reviews here ring true. However, my one star review is a sort of last ditch effort to get them to stop sending me emails. I have unsubscribed multiple times and even written them directly notifying them that I have unsubscribed and that I no longer wish to receive any of their emails, and yet they keep on sending them. Sadly, it’s not a shocker, although annoying.
Finish not durable
Overall the project went well. But finish quality is terrible, any minor contact removes top finish and shows white base coat. I've never experienced a worse paint finish on anything. We fortunately bought a color pen, putty and spray paint from Cabinets to go and after only 2 months since installation have used several times. I plan to spray a shellac over all surfaces in hopes of preventing future issues. if this doesn't work, we'll probably repaint the cabinets in a year or so.
Don’t go here
I don’t recommend this company at all. Customer service is awful. Sales rep is terrible once you pay for your order. Once they get their money they could care less. When we got our order we had doors broken and all our trim was missing. Call to get it and they give you the run around
Horrible experience
The sales guy, who was new, created the order wrong (didn’t charge enough) then we ordered another wall cabinet and the price was $1200 more, is how I found out. He forgot to order the hardware. he ordered a 72.5” cabinet for a 76” space. We had to find someone to make a vanity to for us so didn’t have sinks and top for 3 weeks in master. I asked him to oreder hardware again, he forgot again. I contacted home office, they told me they would call me back, never did, horrible experience. Cabinets are high quality tho.
My experience with a sales representative for cabinets to go.
I would like to say from day one my experience with sales representative Enrique V. was less than what I had expected. On several occasions he did not return my phone calls or had call me back later on in the day as if I was an afterthought. I had voiced my concerns to Enrique and told him I was getting the feeling that he was trying to discourage me. He had reassured me that that was not the case. So I didn’t press the issue or notify corporate about his behavior. So yesterday I received a voicemail stating that my product was in for pick up. The following day around 10:38 AM I called the store because I wanted to know if I needed to schedule an appointment to pick up my cabinets. No one answered the phone so I ended up driving to the store. Once I arrive at the store, no one was in the showroom. My sales representative was coming from the back. We set down at his desk. I let him know that I was trying to contact him, but was not getting any answer. I did notice he was playing with his desk phone like he was going to make a call but in fact he had the phone off the hook but put it back on the hook. I also let him know that I would have to rent a truck and I would be back before the closing of business day. My sales rep kept telling me I needed to sign something. I told him that I was not going to sign anything until I we went over the merchandise with him. For some reason he kept assisting that I sign the documents, which made no sense to me that early in the morning because I was going to be back later on that day.
I had showed up around 5:43 PM to pick up my cabinets. I entered the store, and noticed the sales representative sitting in his chair asleep, He looked at his watch and said are you here to pick up the cabinets? I said yes I am. Once again, he kept pressing the issue for me to sign the documents. I told him we need to go over the invoice together before I sign anything. Enrique V. Handed me the invoice and told me to count and go over everything. I told him I’m not sure that’s how it works. It makes sense that you go over it with me so we can count the same thing. He hands me the invoice and tells me that I was wasting time. I handed the invoice back and asked him politely. Could you please load my cabinets so that I can leave. He told me no and said come back tomorrow and threaten to call the police on me twice. Why would your sales representative threaten to call the police on me? That sounds racist. Do you know how many Black- Americans that are shot or wrongfully accused of committing a crime they have not committed? Whose lives that are either taken or ruin? I am a veteran and had work in the service department. I would never treat any customer the way I was treated. I would never threaten to call the police on a customer who has already paid for his/ her merchandise. I made no threats to this guy, but from the way he treated me and threatened me with the police makes me believe he’s capable of lying about anything. Maybe corporate office should view the cameras in that store and find out if the sales representatives are following protocol. With a bad back and bad knees, I was forced to load my merchandise onto a rental truck by hand… there is no excuse for this kind of behavior from anyone who holds a position serving the public.
I have reached out to customer service twice. The day of the incident and 24 hours later. Update December 4, 2023 No one from corporate office has reached out to me with an apology or explanation as to why their sales rep would threaten me with calling the police and why he had refused to load my cabinets with the forklift he had in his warehouse.
Do. Not. Go.
Do. Not Go. When I say the experience has been difficult, frustrating and maddening, I am understating the incompetence.
After spending over three hours with a sales associate to confirm and update a prepared plan, I should have known then that
this would be a painful experience. I purchased cabinets and counter tops for a small kitchen, and had my own contractor to
install. Simple, right? Not. When they were finally delivered on pallets, I was informed at that time that we had to spend more
money assembling everything. That amounts to $45-85 per cabinet. HUH?! Okay, things happen and we will get through this.
What one should expect in that process is that several parts are damaged, and it throws off any schedule you have. And, when
you hear that the store associate carries no responsibility or can take ownership to help, you get passed on to the overwhelming-
ly incompetent, barely English- speaking “team”. After repeating seven times that parts were damaged, and reviewing which
parts, they bring the issues to the “team”. And, they keep reminding you that the issues are with the “team”. Finally, after a
week or so, they ship your replacements--all the while contractors have to be rescheduled. At one pint, I just used a damaged
piece and had it positioned so it was unseen--all to avoid the “team”. Oh, let’s not forget the counter tops. There was an offer
for a free sink if I ordered the counter tops from Cabinets to NOT go. Unfortunately, the sales associate was not aware of it un-
til I saw a sign. And, then the sink didn’t come. By the time I realized it didn’t come with the cabinet delivery, I called and was
informed that the sales associate with whom I worked, was “no longer with the company”. To top that off, they were out of the
sink I chose. Yet another does of no accountability, frustration and surprise. So, I picked out a sink and asked for it be deliv-
ered to my home. Apparently, the communication was not received, so I had to go fetch it myself--with no apology or concern
by the store Manager., who, by-the-way, has the personality of a lamp post. Niiiiice. Now, I can have the installation completed
and have the company come do counter top measurements. Once again, and unfortunately for me, this will take three weeks,
and then they come back to measure for the backsplash areas--probably another three weeks to add to that process. Another
reschedule. Ugh. But, wait, I’m not done. I was missing a part. So, I was forced to go back to the “team”. After almost two
weeks of receiving email messages thanking me for my patience, and the “team” is working on it, I am done. The process
from start to finish has been so utterly strange and ridiculous, I can only laugh at this point. From irresponsible, unfriendly and
unhelpful sales “associates, and the Manager, to the barely English-speaking and non-functioning customer “no-we-don’t care”,
you are really in for a troubling time. As if remodeling isn’t difficult enough, they do their best to make it more arduous.
