We advertised our business with this company and dealt with the local director Ash, although due to personal reasons we decided not to sell the business but the service we got from Ash was exceptional, he was always available when required and arranged all the viewings for us. Exceptionally smooth process of getting my business sold

This company put a note through our door asking me to contact them about the sale of my business, which my staff saw. I have had no intention of selling my business and I strongly suggest you find a better way to get sales that aren't putting notes through businesses doors and have people unnecessarily worrying about their jobs. Terrible.

I was interested in purchasing the Business Sales Plus as a Franchisee and I was asked for a refundable deposit of £2000.

I was very excited about what I felt was a great business opportunity. However, we got to the stage of signing actual contracts (Franchise Agreement) and when I went through the detail of the contract, there were a few details within it that I wasn't happy to proceed with. So I notified the Group CEO of my decision to no longer proceed and requested my deposit be refunded.

He agreed to refund my deposit, but said he was away on holiday and would effect the refund on his return approximately 10 days later. I chased him for the refund well after the 10 days had elapsed, but he replied to say he was still away, but would make sure the refund is done the following week. That was on the 7th of May 2022. To date, I still haven't heard anything from him since then. That is in spite of me sending 2 reminders on the 13th and the 20th of May and phone calls to a full voicemail box.

There is no need for a refundable deposit to take nearly 6 weeks. At this point, there is no indication that my deposit refund will be effected anytime soon.

If I had received a proper draft agreement before paying the deposit, as and when I requested it, there is no way I will have proceeded that far... I feel misled and victim to unscrupulous business practices.

I am still waiting for my refund, and will be seeking legal action next.

About a year ago, I decided to sell my supermarket with businesssalesplus. My main point of contact throughout the journey was Haider Harb. Haider was very efficient, catering to my needs and didn't disappoint! I could not recommend more to anyone who is looking to sell their business.

There were problems with the sale and Alastair took them in his stride. Steve patiently answered all my questions and was very honest and comprehensive with his answers.

Within 48 hours of signing our agreement, they were actively promoting the business.

I got my first enquiries within a couple of weeks and my business sold within about 2 months of starting to promote.

Steve Lee guaranteed us the business would be sold within 6 months at the latest. But we've had nothing but no shows and not a single prospect has been to even take a look. He keeps telling us someone's interested then on the day that they've cancelled due to various different reasons. Very very disappointed in the lack of honesty and integrity. If you can't sell a desserts business just say so and we'll look elsewhere. The attitude from this franchisee has been very much, 'Take the money and run'. I sincerely hope noone else is caught in his honey trap! What a waste of money but I will value the experience in order to ensure it doesn't happen again. Stay well away!

In response to the reply received I must add that they are trying to accuse us of providing insufficient revenue information. Steve's boss even had the audacity of threatening to report us to HMRC. Utterly pathetic and a complete waste of time. At no point in the last 6 months has Steve Lee requested any further proof or expressed a concern about the lack of transparency in the accounts.

This was a wonderful opportunity for someone to take on a thriving business but the incompetence and laziness of these clowns scuppered it.

Absolutely horrendous experience. Please do yourselves a favour and avoid...avoid...avoid.
