Have they not just reinvented themselves as Business Monkey? another franchise model. Either that, or the chap that used to run Business Sales Plus is now a franchise owner operator for them?? Horror stories all round. Reminds me of the ongoing RTA debacle

Took £900 of my money and never contacted me again or advertised my business. Despite me chasing them up they do not respond to my emails or calls. I am not seeking to instruct legal proceedings.

Scam. Do not use. Took £1700 from us. No contact not answering calls or emails. Nothing in 12 months. Not worh s star. Should be stopped ripping people off. Disgusting. Please check these con artists out.

Signed up nearly a year ago and in the beginning the first agent we had started talking to seemed to have 'left the business'. We then received another agent who we ended up signing with and haven't heard from him in 6 months! I sent a letter to their registered address in the agreed timeframe to terminate our our contract however the tracking information says that it is delayed and no one has been to collect it. I have sent a number of emails asking for someone to collect this yet I have had no reply! Thankfully I have the recorded delivery receipt to prove when I sent it! Now I hope someone actually responds!

The chance to sell Their business, Within 18 months, 1 viewing, no calls, no emails, girl send email last year saying hi, Won’t give name incase they remove review, There parent company the phone number has been disconnected, No one answers the calls, no one replies, 4 different sales advisors as 1st “oh he’s gone with all the money”. 2nd one, - Rude and cheeky, 3rd did t even turn up said to far away, 4th we haven’t even met yet, Do not under any circumstance use this company £1200 down and no help, awaiting to start legal proceedings against them once we get a true contact and email and address, In this day age companies fill doing this is shocking,

As soon as I had clicked on the google page abut selling my business to find out where to sell , I had a call within minutes from BSP office who then promptly sent around a supposedly’ local’ sales agent. They’d seemed professional and on the ball so I signed up handed my £750 for marketing over however then it went down hill quickly with no communication for two months and me chasing around asking why? Then one lead…(which I actually think was a personal friend of the agent)but still no negotiations as promised or even a call to see how the meeting went in fact not any further communication at all….two of my complaint emails saying I required a digital copy of all the work that had been carried out in trying to find me a buyer to prove that they had actively been working on my behalf have not been answered and it has now been almost another month with ZERO communication. As far as I’m aware this contract is null and void and sold under false pretences and this would stand up in court especially as I’ve now been reading the other reviews! DO NOT HAND OVER ANY MONEY TO THESE THIEVES….

We have paid £1000 and had no leads or contact with the company received an email from Kevin Hammon stating he no longer worked for the company and a number of staff have been made redundant.
Can not get hold of anyone to find out what is happening a waste of time and money

This is not the first time that I have tried to contact you.

I have kept all my proof of emails, phone calls logged. Unfortunately for whatever reason your company is or seems Not to be trading. You certainly are not actively trying to sell the business.

I have proof of many people (My friends and family) that have asked you for details of my business and further information and contact details they have left you. You have made NO contact with them . This is not acceptable , I am now telling you that I am going to advertise my business myself and no longer want any part of your illegal company dealings. Should you wish to take that matter further I am more than happy to see you in court, as you have broken the contract that I signed for your company to sell my business.

Thieves. No contact after paying £900 for advertising six months ago, no interest, no response to emails, they don't make the changes requested, they refuse to give back the amount for marketing after they breached the contract. I advise to avoid if you don't have time to go to court with these scammers.

Snyone looking to sell your business PLESSE PLEASE AVOID!

Sadly it would appear this is the only way to get a response!

Being threatened that I will be in breach of contract if I leave yet I’ve paid £750 and no one could buy my business if they wanted because no one ever answers the phones, returns calls or answered emails!

You’ve clearly got a lot going on reading the other reviews but annoying clients and threatening them that there are financial penalties if they leave isn’t the way to run your business!

Return my money and let me instruct someone who can actually actively try and sell my business!

Took my money for a franchise for this joke of a business, lost huge amounts of money through these scam artists who refuse to take calls and answer any emails yet continue to advertise for more franchisees! Have not paid me for the last 3 months and i am now out of pocket by more than £25,000. Dont be taken in by their sales patter you will lose your all your money and more!

We are now six months into our contract to sell our business. We have tried contacting our local agent, to amend our advert who explained why they have nothing to do with BSP anymore. We have attempted to contact BSP's main office via email, phone call and messages with no success. This has been the case for the last four weeks. If you are still trading, answer your messages.

Don’t believe a word this man says, if you have a business listed with him and the company which is hanging by a thread, you’ve done your money. He hasn’t paid his staff, his franchisees or any supplier/rent (he’s been evicted which is why you can’t get hold of him!)

Your business is listed only on his website, he hasn’t paid the bills to list them anywhere else.

DO NOT TRUST THIS PERSON with a penny of your money, a second of your time
Or the sweat off your brow… it will all be wasted.

If I could give this zero stars I would. All started well and had an initial genuine enquiry, I have since dealt with the potential buyer face to face (what's the point in having an agent?) as my representative seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth and there is no answer on the head office number (not sure how they expect to gain new business) - thankfully I only tied in for 6 months, I only have a further 3 months remaining

As a former franchisee. I would strongly consider before purchasing a franchise for the buisiness brokerage. The promises never materialises.

I would suggest anyone considering doing any sort of business with this entity speak to a few Regional Directors (franchisees) of the business to get the REAL truth about this set up which is hanging on by a thread. There are plenty of people to speak to around the UK, several in London + SW, SE, Scotland, Manchester etc etc. They will all give you the same story. Be sure to check that the people you are referred to are genuine of course… you might also like to do a little background digging on the net about the owner…

The business has failed, the owner is not engaging with any of his creditors and trying to avoid paying any franchisees what they are due as well as many other suppliers. Please don't sign up with them as a client and especially not as a franchisee. The figures in the franchise information memorandum are a long way of what any have achieved ever. Steer clear, be warned.

From Alistair Watt. I put my business for sale with Business Sales Plus, which appears to be part of your Accentia Group of companies. I had an email from the local agent informing me that the business is no more, however, as Accentia/BPS never did advertise my business for sale anywhere you are in breach of the signed contract which therefore is now nullified and I must demand my fee to yourselves be returned in full. Failure to adhere to what is law will mean I will hand all my paperwork to the local Police Scotland Fraud Department for full investigation into your activities. I would appreciate a response but I won't hold my breath.

Kevin was friendly and helpful from the offset, easy to ask any question to & very responsive. Our first business purchase and he didn't make us feel stupid at any point. I'd highly recommend.

Kevin Hammon! Great work getting the sale over the line. Patient and calm throughout assisting both me and the buyer steering the sale through. Solicitors as per usual are always the difficult part of any sale/purchase and Kevin helped greatly to cut through a lot of the BS coming from them and delaying the process. Kevin and his team did a fantastic job.
