I thought the service was good, Simon was the salesman I dealt with, he explained everything to me and didn’t pressure me, he couldn’t have been more helpful.

Abysmal after-sales service.

We bought a Kia Approved Used car that was just out of its original warranty but covered by a 12-month extended warranty. The car had clutch issues from day one, which were reported after just 300 miles of use.

From that point, we were ignored, pushed from pillar to post and repeatedly fobbed off. The car was eventually inspected at the start of August and we were told from the outset that it required a new clutch.

Despite this, there was then no further contact for five days, before we were told it would cost £500 to investigate the issue further.

What followed was another three weeks of chasing, around 25 emails with Burton Kia including senior management, around 25 emails with Kia Customer Care, and numerous phone calls.

The car was eventually repaired at Burton Kia's expense and returned to us.

The whole experience was unnecessarily stressful and took far too long to resolve. The after-sales service was extremely poor throughout, and we felt we had to fight every step of the way to get the matter resolved.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend Burton Kia and would seriously consider using another dealership when purchasing a Kia.

I asked a question to Kia Burton about a used car I was interested in. The question was asked via their chat bot. I left my email address and agreed they could contact me. 24 hours later I'm still waiting for a answer. Simply not good enough.

I booked my car service online & dropped it of at 8am, I did say that I needed the car ready by 4pm, I hadn't had any call from the garage so I went to collect my car at 4pm. When I arrived the car was still in the same place as I had left it at 8am,I enquired inside if my car was ready & the service desk told me it was still in the workshop being worked on. At this point I did point out it was in the car park still which he didn't know how to respond. Having now waiting until 5:30pm the service desk person said I have given you a discount on your service & asked me to pay, again I had to point out I had aready paid on a service plan & how can he give me a discount to which he replied Oh I didn't know & I can't if you have already paid. Yet again no apology at all for anything, not taking any ownership of the whole issue. Customer service was appalling to say the least. This is the second bad experience I have had at this Fanchise, the first being a recall on the breaks which they stripped down & didn't have replacement parts, 8 weeks later I had my car returned to me, again very little in the way of an apology.

Unfortunatley I do have one paid for service to take which I have no faith in so will book a drop & wait service if possible to make sure I get the service any paying customer should get rather then the two very disapointing one's I have had.

Overall I would not recommend this Franchise at any cost, no ownership or accountability taken by any member of staff, I would recommend some Customer service training is a must.

My son and his girlfriend visited the Burton Kia dealership this morning hoping to test drive a KIA EV3 which they had booked online. They were met by a representative from the dealership who was least interested, dismissed them without checking their appointment for test drive and asked them to book another time! Never had such a rude experience at any car dealership. Perhaps Kia is not their first car together, should have asked them to go to Mini instead where we have always had excellent customer service !

The so called master technician refitted a second hand clutch despite a service bulletin being stapled to the job car telling him to fit new under warranty. Gearbox not cleaned out or flushed out despite bearing, gears synco hub and main shaft failure. No confidence in this bunch of cowboys. Raised complaint with Kia UK and now Motor industry ombudsman. Take you Kia elsewhere please

The overall customer service i have received from Burton KIA has been sub par and I am being generous giving one star. Still waiting on answers from a fault from April that a technician has diagnosed as a fault. It's been in 3 times now for the same fix over te space of 3 months and no signs of answers about a rectification 2 weeks on from its 3rd visit. I have been chasing daily and have pretty much been fobbed off each time.

We recently bought a car from Burton KIA. The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful. Josh (new employee) went over and above in order to help us with the whole process, he was extremely friendly and determined to get the deal completed in the tight timeline we had available - thanks Josh :). Mention must also go to Ben and Claire who were equally friendly & helpful as they supported Josh through the process. The whole experience was professional, yet friendly from start to finish. Thank you so much and I would definitely recommend this branch of KIA dealership to buy your next KIA.

The easiest car purchase we’ve ever made. Claire was brilliant from the start. She explained everything, even took time to send us video of our new car as we were buying from distance.
When we arrived to collect our car we were welcomed and taken care of straight away on walking through the door. Despite the showroom being incredibly busy, we were looked after as though we were the only people there.
Claire did all the paperwork quickly and efficiently then took time to go through setting up our car so the on board systems were clear. We could not have asked for better! Thank you ♥️

Booked my sportage in for a parking sensors problem in April
They told me that it needs a new parking sensor harness and might need one or more new sensors
I got a new harness from Kia and four new sensors it did not solve the problem
I paid £140 for the diagnostic test
When I called to tell them that the diagnostic test did not solve the problem they asked me if I would like to book the car back in I asked them if I would need to pay for another diagnostic test and they said yes
When I asked why as I have replaced the parts that they said were faulty they couldn’t tell me why
Will never use this garage again not helpful and just want to get money out of you

I have just purchased a used car from Burton Kia
The experience was excellent with no pressure put on to me but excellent customer service for all aspects of the purchase.

Came in today to enquire about KIA EV3 or EV4 models. Salesman didn’t seem remotely interested, gave me no information, wandered off and didn’t return when I sat in one of the cars.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Claire for making the purchase of my new Kia such a positive experience. From start to finish she was very approachable & friendly (without being over friendly), courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful.

Nothing was too much trouble, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was explained clearly to me and that I felt confident and comfortable throughout the whole process.

Her professionalism and customer care really stood out, it made what can sometimes be a stressful experience feel easy and enjoyable. I’m absolutely delighted with my new car and really appreciated the service I received. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Claire and Kia Burton dealership to anyone looking for an excellent car and customer service alike.

Shocking company, avoid at all costs!! If I could give a 0 star as a review I would! Bought a van from these and less then a week into having it we had problems. Customer service is shocking and helping solve the problem and getting it into a garage they deem ok on the warranty is another thing! Do not waste your money. Staff are unhelpful and just want to sell you the vehicle! No after care what so ever!

Claire Harrigan dealt with our purchase. Everything was handled very smoothly and nothing was any trouble for Claire. Will definitely be back, as we had a great experience with Kia Burton.

Keith was fantastic throughout the transaction. Visited on Sunday to secure the car after already test driving and cannot fault the sale. All questions answered honestly and managed to achieve a deal after some negotiation. Very thorough and would happily recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a Kia at Burton!

Keith, the salesman who dealt with my Sportage purchase was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and made the whole buying experience easy. On collection of the 10 month old vehicle, which was in perfect showroom condition, he took the time to explain and indeed implement all the controls to my requirements, which meant I could just drive the car with ease knowing everything was set up. Can’t praise him enough, nor the vehicle. Luxury on wheels.

Good professional friendly service.

Our sales assistant, Keith Thurlow, was excellent. He carefully explained the process we would go through to buy our car, advised on additional items we could purchase, explaining the pros of each without being pushy, and took time to sit in the car with us explaining all of the controls - we had not had a Kia car before. He discussed a service plan with us, and took time to wait for us whilst we set one up with the service department. All in all, an excellent experience, would certainly recommend him to others.
