A very disappointing and concerning experience. We visited to consider a Kia Sportage and had already received a written changeover figure of £17,591 for a Storm. We were then asked to bring our nearly new Hyundai Bayon in for a physical appraisal because its original £13,900 valuation was only described as a guide.

After seeing an Experience Green Sportage GT-Line S in the showroom, I received a telephone call offering a changeover figure of £20,091, including a two-year service plan and front-and-rear Nextbase dash cameras. The conversation was clearly about that particular GT-Line S: we discussed the cameras, servicing and whether the cameras would affect its Expensive Car Supplement status. I was also told another customer was interested, which appeared designed to encourage a quick decision. I nearly paid a deposit there and then.

The written quotation subsequently arrived showing a changeover figure of £28,566—£8,475 more than discussed—with no apparent discount on the GT-Line S. The Bayon valuation also remained at exactly the same £13,900 despite us taking it in for inspection.

The salesman then claimed the £20,091 telephone figure had actually related to the manual Storm. This explanation made no sense because we already had a written Storm offer of £17,591. During a further call, he said that if I had paid the deposit, it would have been refundable because it was for the “wrong car.” He continued trying to sell to me and asked us to return yet again for another quotation, even after I explained that we had completely lost confidence in the transaction.

Mistakes can happen, but the way this was handled—the pressure to decide, the enormous difference between the verbal and written figures, the implausible explanation and the failure to offer a prompt and meaningful apology—was unacceptable. We were genuinely close to buying the GT-Line S, but we will now take our money elsewhere and cannot recommend this dealership.

I booked in to see a car, when I booked in I told them the journey would take me an hour. When I arrived I was told the car had just been sold. The garage had emailed me but this arrived when I was 35 minutes into my journey so I would not have received the email, they also said they called but I had no missed calls on my phone. I emailed to express my frustration, but received no reply. The service was poor. I was told the paperwork had been signed about 35 minutes before my appointment so they would have had time to let me know before I left home.

THE REPAIRS WERE SUBSTANDARD AND DONE ON THE CHEAP BY A MOBILE VAN REPAIRER INSTEAD OF A PROPER BODYSHOP A MUCH CHEAPER REPAIR/JOB.

I've just purchased a Sportage from Ken Brown Stevenage with the help of Holly. My spec was a bit out of the ordinary as the car needed to accommodate a mobility rollator, dog cage and passengers. Holly was just magnificent; she's very professional and supportive and found the perfect car for me.

I just purchased a 71 Reg Kia Niro all electric motor yesterday. It was a very pleasant experience . Logan the sales executive was very considerate and pleasant. He was never “pushy “ and explained all the details of ownership of a EV car. We had a test drive and he explained all the important details of driving a EV Car. Then once we got back we talked about the finance side of the the car and was amicably agreed by all parties after bargaining from both sides.After the handover of the keys the Stevenage branch assistant manager Barry asked us if everything was fine and if there was any issues!.
Overall the dealership was very good and are very professional.

I have just part exchanged my car for a sportage at Stevenage. I was dealt with by sales executive called Holly. She was so friendly and helpful and made the whole process delightful. I would highly recommend both the dealer and Holly

I recently visited Kia Harlow and had the pleasure of being assisted by Mihai on the service department. I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the moment we arrived, he was excellent, attentive, and extremely helpful.
It’s rare to find someone who genuinely seems happy to help, but Mihai’s positive attitude made the whole process seamless and stress-free. He took the time to listen to our needs and ensured everything was handled with care. If you’re heading to Kia Harlow service team , definitely ask for Mihai—he is a true credit to the service department and was very knowledgeable about the other cars in the Kia range I was interested in looking at.

I recently bought a Nissan Micra and the whole process from looking at to test driving and finally purchasing the car was dealt with by Katie Hodgkinson, who was very informative and thoroughly helpful and professional in everything she did to make it very easy for me to buy the car. I am a pensioner and a bit fussy, but Katie was so reassuring about the car and everything associated with it which helped put my mind at ease. Just purchased a used Kia Niro from Ken brown motors in Stevenage with the help of Jass in sales. He was very helpful finding the right car for me as well as sorting a finance agreement that worked for my budget. It was also my first time doing a test drive with an automatic car but he accompanied me and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable.

Terry in sales was very helpful and knowlegeable regarding the Kia EV6 and nothing was too much to ask including test drive, we look forward to seeing him again.

Let's face it noone wants their car to breakdown but when my Kia EV6 did, the service desk staff at Ken Brown Stevenage bent over backwards to try and get my car booked in, diagnosed and repaired as soon as possible
Kerry's friendly demeanor and honesty are reassuring and leave you in no doubt where you stand, which is refreshing.
The part that was needed was on backorder and took 4 weeks to arrive but Chris and Martin kept me up to date and in the end the part arrived some weeks earlier than was expected and the firmware was updated for me as well.
The car was returned to me clean although my only grumble is that the contents of my glovebox weren't replaced and was stewn all around car and under the back seats, additionally, either the front facia or the hazard light switch doesn't seem to have been re-fitted properly as it now sits behind the facia.
Although, I'm sure this will be rectified when I take the car in for a service in a couple of months.

All in all though very impressed by the level of customer care given by Ken Brown

Have spent a fair bit of time at Ken Brown Stevenage recently owing to two cars both having their MOTs and annual services and each time I've dealt with Kerry. She is honesty an credit to the team, offers friendly really personal approach and just wanted to say thanks!

Richard was super helpful in getting us to the right choice of Kia. He was very patient and took us through the car colour choices, options and functionalities. Very excited to be getting a new car in a couple of weeks.
