Booked a very much needed last-minute break to Malta via agent Hannah. Figured we would pay a lot for a little. Absolutely amazing resort in a fantastic area, and it actually matches the pictures. Hannah ensured the hotel had all our requests with medical assistance and were fulfilled in full. 11/10

Bad transfer, book private, and get travel insurance!
Just back from my package holiday to Salou with my partner last week. The transfer was not good in that it left us a few streets away with steep hills, not ideal in your 50's or with health issues. On the way back the transfer bus was held up on the motorway for 5 hours, due to a teacher's protest. The driver didn't tell anyone what was happening, we presumed a bad accident. Missed our return flights and had to buy more, hang around the airport overnight. If I'd have read the news I'd have known about the planned protest. Other than that had a nice time with great weather.

We regret to receive your 3 star review and read of your experience in Salou. Occassonally due to access issues, large vehicles cannot always drop you off right outside your hotel and we apologise for any inconvience caused. While unforeseen road protests and traffic gridlock fall outside the direct control of the transport company, we completely agree that the driver should have kept you informed.
Despite this we are glad to read the weather was good and you enjoyed your stay.

Spoke with George which was rude!
I spoke with George, presumably a senior, he did not wrap up the call concluding the total clearly then sent a email with a price I was not aware of. I tried to speak on the phone with him to discuss this and he was just outlining what he said but did not listen clearly to my points, was very rude and abrupt. On the other hand, I spoke with Lucas, who was very polite and handled my call very well and had the courtesy to listen to my points. Lucas needs to be the senior in this case, delight to deal with and apologised for the misunderstanding.

Booked a trip to Maltha got travel…
Booked a trip to Maltha got travel insurance taxi flights in my package deal, got to Maltha no taxi,waited for near hour rang taxi to be told budget travel never confirm our booking .Get to hotel requested a first floor room with balcony but got small room with one rail two hangers opened the window to a lift shaft and then bathroom window wash toilet pipes ,
No room to change to , then taxi tx with message no taxis available book your own nearly miss plane to think budget travel send someone to this hotel is beyond me and no help when we got back never again
As i said before i would not put any one in this room and would hope no one else gets to spend time in this hotel

We regret to receive your 2 star review. We aplologise for your transfer not operating the service as booked and having checked our records we can see that you have been refunded in full.
The room you booked was the room you were allocated and although you did indeed request a ground floor ground with a pool view, requests are never guaranteed and it is all dependent on the hotels capacity when you arrive.
Despite these shortfalls, we do hope there many aspects of your time in Malta that you were able to enjoy.

I booked my first family holiday to Disneyland with Ava. This lovely lady went above and beyond for me and my family to ensure we have an amazing trip away. Zero compassion when it mattered most
I contacted Budget Travel to cancel a holiday due to a family medical emergency. My mother-in-law was diagnosed with terminal cancer and my husband had to fly to Poland immediately to be with her. Hospice care was offered the same day we received the diagnosis.
The response from Budget Travel was cold, impersonal and completely lacking in any human decency. Not a single word of acknowledgement of the circumstances. No attempt to offer any goodwill gesture whatsoever. Simply redirected to the insurance company and that was that.
I understand policies exist for a reason. What I cannot accept is the complete absence of basic compassion when dealing with a customer going through one of the most difficult moments of their life.
I will never book with Budget Travel again and I would strongly advise others to consider how this company treats its customers when it matters most.

We do apologise that our earlier communication felt cold or impersonal. That is not the experience we want anyone to have, especially during such a difficult situation.
Regarding the booking itself, as the cancellation was made very close to the travel date, the booking was non-refundable and so unfortunately a refund was not possible. We do recommend submitting a claim to your insurance.
