Really fast service and it's the most beautiful bow! Looks fantastic and it has ice balance and the sound so far on a modern instrument is good but hoping to get a baroque cello soon.

Ordered a bow, had to transfer money immediately, got a mail for additional costs concerncing sending and then suddenly there was a "problem" and thex closed the shop. No reply, nothing. No information in advance.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and for your interest in the cello bow from our shop.
From the outset on 15 December, our shop team responded promptly to your enquiry, explained the situation with EU shipping after Brexit, and made clear that customs fees and local VAT would be determined by the Austrian authorities and not by us. When you asked about costs, we advised that we would need your full address to obtain an accurate shipping quote and estimated that insured shipping would be at least £50, which is why the default £10 website postage could not cover a fully insured courier shipment of a valuable cello bow to Vienna.
Once you placed the order online on 23 December, the team booked the shipment the same day using our shipping consultants and wrote to you immediately to explain the additional £20 required for full, insured carriage, offering both bank transfer and card payment by phone as options. After you paid the extra £20, we then informed you the same afternoon that there had been a problem with the package not being collected and that, because 23 December was our final working day before our Christmas closure, it was unlikely to be collected before we closed and that dispatch would therefore have to take place once we reopened on 2 January.
The failed collection and the timing around the Christmas period were, unfortunately, outside our control, and the shop team did their very best to keep you informed at each step, including setting out potential delays, customs procedures, and holiday closure in advance. It is genuinely sad for us that this experience led you to feel you had to leave a negative review, especially as so many of our customers have positive experiences with our communication and shipping, but we absolutely respect your right to share your perspective and regret that on this occasion we did not meet your expectations.
