I was given a 'firm' quote that immediately changed after I paid the hefty deposit. When I complained I was told I was too stressed about the move to know what I was talking about. Poor customer service and they try to bully you once you cancel your move.

You were not given a firm quote. Every quote is an estimate based off inventory you provide. You booked your reservation on 4/3/23. We have been in contact with you since that day. You called in with concerns on 4/11 we addressed them and advised of the next step in the moving process. You then called in on 4/25 and stated you had hired someone else and that you were at work and didn't have time to speak to us till after 5pm. We have called you and you keep saying you don't have time to talk. Our Quality assurance department reached out to you and you declined moving forward. We didn't try to bully you at all, we assured you of your concerns and informed you of the next steps
Good customer service
This review is for the customer service I received from Bridgeview Van Lines, not for a move. For a variety of reasons we needed to cancel the move we had booked with them, and they were very accommodating, especially Natasha. Our deposit was promptly refunded.

My 84-year-old mother was misinformed…
My 84-year-old mother was misinformed about all details relating to her delivery to another state. All her food went bad. Her belongings were delivered after the promised date. She was never informed that an outside vendor would be the one responsible for her delivery and that a box of comforters was missing. I would never ever use this company's service again. Maybe they discriminated because of my mother's age but this is unacceptable.

Bridgeview Van Lines first and foremost takes our customers' reviews/complaints with top priority. Customer was in constant contact with our office throughout her entire move. Customer had a pickup window of 4/7 or 4/8/23. Prior to pickup, the customer was informed via phone call which is recorded along with an email from our dispatch office, with a reminder of all common items that need to be emptied prior to pickup. Such as dresser drawers must be empty, no perishables in refrigerators or deep freezers. Customer did not inform the driver at pickup that her deep freezer was full of food. Customer called in after the drivers left and informed them of the food in the deep freezer and trying to get an update on delivery. Based on the signed binding contract, based on the mileage traveled, we estimated 3-10 business days for delivery. Customer was delivered on 4/17/23. We have both carrier and broker authority just like all Major Van Lines. WE do service our own moves, and we also outsource them as needed. We would be more than happy to assist her with her box of missing comforters. We have already placed a call to the driver to check the truck and warehouse for the missing box for redelivery. We can also assist customer with a claims process or a reimbursement of missing items. I will have our customer service department reach out to resolve this matter directly with the customer.

They were an amazing moving company. Nicholas Rosen was grey, helped me book my move, he was very informative and was able to answer all my questions. The movers, Sam, Johnny, Carlos, and Scott, did a great job wrapping and moving my belongings. Very good at keeping in contact and what to expect when.I have recommended them to all my friends, which are using them during their upcoming moves, and will used them again.

Horrible
Horrible! My elderly aunt spoke to someone to move her out of state. A representative, had her give them $1000k and when she tried to confirm that she would be getting a 26ft truck they said no that she wouldn’t be getting a whole truck. They would go pick up other stuff she would get her stuff maybe days later. They cancelled and they’re refusing a refund.

I would need more information in order to properly provide details. I do not know who your aunt is. Based off what you stated in this review, it tells me that your Aunt did not have enough inventory that would require a full 26ft truck. You would have to have at least 1600-1800cbft worth of inventory to secure the whole truck. In the moving industry, your reservations are booked based off cubic feet totals. If your items are not a full 26ft truck worth of inventory then yes, you would have other stops that would need to be placed into that truck so the Driver has a full load. If cancelled outside of the refund window, we do have options to hold a credit for 12 months that can also be passed to family members if need be. If you would please give our office a call I would be glad to pull up your Aunts file and see what can be resolved. Our main customer service number is 888-249-4620, ask for the General Manager.
Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful. Josh straight up lied to us saying that that they own all of their own trucks. They contracted it out to a company that showed up in a Budget rental truck. Every one of my boxes was damaged. They damaged my dresser and lost my king size mattress. I have been sleeping on an air mattress for the past two weeks and now I have to wait another 3 months possibly to get my money back from the insurance company of the moving company that THEY contracted out. DO NOT USE THIS ABSOLUTE SCAM OF A COMPANY.

Bridgeview Van Lines has both Carrier Authority and Broker Authority, just like any other Major Van Lines. We do service our own moves and we do contract when needed. You have been in contact with Customer Care and you have started the claim process for the damaged items as well as your Mattress has been located and is in route to you. Last update we provided to you was on 4/13/23. We are not a scam company as we assist every customer to the best of our ability and provides a resolution for any issues our customer is going thru.
Great movers
Josh did everything he said he would. It was only a little more than quoted price because of boxes for my paintings. And my stuff is being delivered in 10 days just as promised. And Joe who loaded everything up and his team were great! Joe set me at ease

Scam
Edit: Gary Ross reached out to us and apologized profusely and refunded us the extra $400 charge, which most other companies wouldn't have. Although I clearly didn't have a great experience as detailed below, I will say that giving me a call and offering an explanation and partial refund is appreciated. I am still leaving my initial review up though, as this does not excuse our experience.

Scam. Just like Kirsten Horning's review from 2 days ago, "100% scam of a company - said they own the trucks, promised me up and down they weren't a broker, and then contracted it out to another company."
Exact same thing here. Inconsistent communication, said they would give us a call 3 hours and then 24 hours before they arrive. A full 7 days later, they called us 40 minutes before they arrived, then said their truck won't fit in the development so we had to pay an additional $400 to get our stuff. They were supposed to disassemble and reassemble our things, and then said they didn't know how to reassemble them so they didn't.
You get what you pay for here. Don't believe their lies or these 5 star bot reviews.
Hilarious that they reply to every bad review calling them an angry ex-employee. Riiiiiight.
As if that would even be better. "We have no bad reviews. Just a ton of angry ex-employees that hate us." Why do they hate you then? Lmao.

Communication
Through the years moving companies have been hit or miss for me and my family. So I was skeptical at first like most people. Everyone sounds perfect on the phone promising you this and that, but what I appreciated about my representative and the customer service team, they were very communicative and kept me updated throughout the entire process . The guys were professional and didn't break a thing, I wish I could upload a video on how great they did.
