Bob's Containers got us an amazin container home, better then we ever thought. The build is solid, and it looks real nice too. We fixed up the inside just the way we wanted. Whole process, from order to delivery, was smooth as butter. The folks there was real nice and always ready to help with our questions. We're happy with our new home and tell anyone lookin for somethin a little cheaper to got with Bob's Containers.

I was lookin for an affordable and eco-friendly housing option, and Bob's Containers totally came through for me. My container home is not only stylish but also super functional. The insulation is excellent, keeping me comfy in all weather. I gotta say, I was a bit worried at first about how it would all turn out, but the team at Bob's was great. They helped me with all my questions and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. The whole experience from design to delivery was pretty seamless, even tho I made a few changes along the way. Highly recommend Bob's Containers for anyone considering a container home! You won't be disappointed!

I bought a 40ft High Cube, was told I would recieve a high quality trailer. After being blown off 4 or 5 times I began to lose hope and thought I was never going to get the container. I strongly believe I would have never received my beaten to hell container (plates covering rust spots, huge dent in the roof, and not water tight). Do not do business with this company, you will regret it like I do.

We placed order for 4 containers on Jul 31st 2023 that were supposed to delivered in 90 days. It has been over 210 days (7 months), not a single container has been delivered or installed. One is stilling on our lot with no insight into when it will be installed. We have paid a lot of money. We have tried to work directly with Bob (the owner) in a constructive way to complete the project. Bob makes a lot of promises and has never delivered anything yet. He does not communicate, has failed to show up for call we setup. We were planning to have a long term relationship, but this has turned out to be nightmare.

Avoid Bob's Containers, support team communication is poor, warranty request overridden by Bob. Support team contractors for warranty request can be overridden by Bob. They have started to advertise for Extended warranty periods. Avoid. Purchased container, delivered and placed on level concrete pad by their support team, who damaged an area where 2 warranty request were submitted. Same request for flooring submitted 4 months later after attempt to fix it the first time failed. Do not recommend this company. Avoid Bob's Containers.

Update 10/28: Bob had once again said he was going to pay and deadline was yesterday. Never heard back. He also wanted this review taken down to free up more capital for some sort of project so he could pay me back more quickly (will post that email shortly). I’ve noticed many of the 5 star reviews lately are from people who haven’t actually purchased anything (based off some of the wording) or purchased but haven’t even started the build process or received there unit. Make what you want of that but to me seems fishy, on top of wanting my review removed to open up more capital. Can’t help but wonder if reviews are being incentivized. Regardless, I’d encourage anyone dealing with this company to either 1) go elsewhere, 2) don’t review a company on a product you purchased but have not yet received, and 3) do not sign a contract that states final payment has to be made before they’ll deliver. .

Update 10/17/23. On 9/13 I sent a more than fair settlement offer which Robert Balderas accepted, but then refused to pay so we had a pre trial hearing on 10/13 (for which he was not present), and now the hearing is scheduled for January. We decided to send a settlement offer because we would rather be done with this and have money in hand. Now we will be going after the full amount in January.

Background: We hired Bob’s Containers for a custom built container home in February 2022 with an estimated completion date of April/May. We had multiple issues with getting the container started and at one point their staff said we could cancel the project since the containers weren’t even scheduled to be built, and we would get a refund after a release agreement was sent. The agreement was never sent and then the owner contacted us and said there were no refunds. That became a whole other issue but ultimately all were in agreement to build. The container was started in July to be completed at the end of August. We were contacted by their finance department on 9/14/2022 and told the container would be ready to ship in 2 days time, and required the remaining 50% balance (over $50,000) which we paid immediately. Turns out, the container was not even close to being ready and would not be ready until the first week of October, 10/4. At that time, they were unable to find a company to ship the containers in a timely manner and I asked if we could find our own shipping company. I was told this was fine as long as they (Bob’s) had a chance to speak to the company to ensure they were capable of providing safe delivery. Craig Turner (Logistics), along with Dustin Hill, the COO, both were involved and confirmed the company we found would be fine, and they would process our refund as soon as the containers left their lot. We paid $15,000 to Bob’s Containers for shipping prior to this as part of the initial invoice. There would be a $500 fee per container withheld for shipping prep (reasonable) with a refund of $14,000. Our shipping company picked up the containers on 10/7/2023.

We reached out multiple times after they were picked up and initially were told the refund process would be started and then they stopped responding for around two weeks. They eventually surfaced and said they needed to process a release contract. We ultimately filed in small claims court at the end of October.

We had a hearing in February, to which Bob’s did not show up. We received a default judgment in our favor, however, Bob’s attorney surfaced within the appeal time period and filed for a new hearing.

I’ve attached the email communications with regards to shipping refunds as proof of above, as well as when their finance team reached out for final payment. As noted before, we had many issues at the start of the container build, and we did have some quality issues including failed code inspections.

Container was delivered months late and not up to code. We had to pay out of pocket to fix this. They also owe us over 10 grand but won't give it back. Run far away from this company.

We purchased a 40’ Alpine model without the kitchenette to be used as an office space / workshop. The unit is beautiful and the process was really easy. We worked with Nathan, Will, Sal, Wes, Jackie, and others. Emory delivered our unit and was awesome. We needed to cut a few tree limbs so as not to damage the container- great customer service. We haven’t moved our things in yet, but are very happy with our purchase! Will comment again after occupying.

Luring customers in by using affiliates pretending to be private party then just linking you to bobs containers website. Real shady business. Very dishonest and making unsuspecting people waste their time. Shady business tactics

I Strongly advise against using Bob’s Containers to build your home due to numerous issues. These include the company's failure to honor the warranty, non-compliance with building code standards, delayed completion, very poor communication, and unprofessional behavior from the owner.

- Water pipes froze at 20 degrees, building code standard was not followed and we had to relocate all the water pipes in the house. Bob’s refused to cover the repair cost.
- The HVAC equipment came dead on arrival - They refused to fix the issue unless we signed a form releasing them of all responsibility (including the 1-year warranty)
- The HVAC equipment did not comply with the building code. (there was No Disconnect Boxes)
- Oversized HVAC unit was installed in the Bedroom causing the unit to continually short cycle
- All the doors came wracked upon delivery and would not close properly – they did not honor the warranty
- They lost the keys to the house, and we had to have a locksmith replace all the door keys
- Incorrect shower faucets installed, resulting in visible patch after the repair.
- Unprofessional owner with final say on decisions.

I have all communications and pictures of the issues and I am more than willing to share more details if it helps you with your decision.

SCAM*****FRAUD***** If I could provide negative stars I would. Where do I start. These guys are of the upmost dishonest shady company in the US period. I'll start from the beginning. My parents are elderly. My dad is very ill with Parkinson's disease. My dad is a United States Navy, veteran. My mother has the early stages of dementia. We moved them to my property, so my wife and I could help with their conditions. We saw a tv show that had a container home from Bobs Containers. We called them up and a few weeks later, we sent them roughly 50k. The very next day before they even started the build we canceled the build after consulting the floor plan with my dads doctors we all agreed this was not the best fit. Bobs containers agreed with a signed contract stating they would return the money. Well that was about a year ago. They have not returned a penny. So I guess it is Bob Balderas the owners directive to his staff to rip elderly sick people off for their savings. I know this review will be removed because I am not an avid reviewer. Well I will keep reposting because this is the truth and I do not want to see ANYONE else get scammed like my family did. These people are crooks. I have a 85k judgment against them for breach of contract. I also have been contacted by someone else with the same problem.

I will admit I was a difficult customer to work with. That said I am fairly happy with Bob's Containers crew on putting up with me. They pushed back and guided my vision to a container in my budget.

My only compliant is delay in shipping once it was complete. I was ready to received it but they held onto it for 2 more weeks waiting for my payment to clear. I feel like you should pay when it arrives but their policy is payment before shipment.

At delivery it rubbed a tree and scratch the paint but they sent someone to fix it. Took a couple weeks though.

I found them on TikTok and loved their tour videos. It happened that it was that time in my life I was looking for a my first home. I always loved tiny home but was not into the home on wheels looks as it felt like mobile home

Well fortunately none of this felt like mobile home. I did a tour and saw how they build shipping container homes. Just like a house.

So I order a 40ft home for my land in Arkansas. It arrive 4 weeks later and I’m now a happy first home owner. They even handled the permitting

This company has a really great website. Not only was it easy to explore all the options for container homes, but I was able to customize it myself, from The flooring down to the door handles. I was happy to be able to schedule an in-person tour so I was able to actually see what everything would be like for me. Now my container home truly feels like something I created.
