June box - what box? Shambles!
Replacement box (only been promised one even though my annual subscription had more remaining when they went bust) was supposedly shipped last week. Tracking number is invalid. Courier has no details on the shipment. It’s been over a week so I hold out absolutely zero hope I’ll ever get this box or the ones that I paid for.
Seems these “new” owners want to start the same was the previous ones left off.
Terrible company, renewed my subscription without permission.
I cancelled my subscription about a year ago and 3 days ago, money has been taken out of my account for a new subscription. The company has terrible customer service, and the product is not worth the hassle of all the issues they have caused me over the last year. I am considering contacting my bank and reporting the money taken out as fraudulent and blocking them because I do not trust that this won't happen again.
Birchbox scam, restarting subscriptions after being cancelled!
Cancelled over 12 months ago and received a notification that they had take £75 from my account on the 26/06/23. No phone numbers to contact them so sent an email, waited 72 hours without any reply and have now reported them to my bank as fraudulent transaction. Shout out to Halifax for acting fast once contacted, card cancelled and new one in post, blocked any transactions with Birchbox in the title. Also refunded the money immediately!
Fake tracking number
They've been sending emails for several months announcing they bought the company out and were resuming the service so it wasn't a surprise when they charged me. What's surprising is they sent me a fake Evri tracking number (shows as number that doesn't exist). So no money and no box. Great.
Restarted my subscription without my consent
Like a number of other reviewers on here, my subscription ended 6 months ago. Today, they randomly decided they would restart the subscription and take my money. This is terrible, I have not asked to restart my subscription. Their customer service have not responded to my complaint.
Taken money from my account without permission
After disappearing for months and not completely fulfilling my previous membership, Birchbox have taken money from my account this morning for another year’s membership without my permission. I contacted them in May 2023 to ensure this didn’t happen, I notified customer services I no longer want to be a member, I deleted my payment details and cancelled my membership via my account login but this has all been ignored. It is disgusting how they have relaunched and not got permission or authorisation from previous members that they still want to be a member. This surely a breach of customers rights and data protection. Awful company.

I unsubscribed over a year ago and today I have been resubscribed without my permission and charged! This is an absolute joke. I can login to my account but there’s no live chat facility to speak to anyone. I now have to wait 72hrs for a reply.

@birchbox you still owe me two boxes for last year, locked me out of my account when you went bust last year, I was forced to cancel via email in December, you have the audacity to restart my subscription without asking me for your 'relaunch' and bill me 38 quid - this is theft.
Took my money without notifying me…
So I've just been charged for a 3 month subscription after almost a year of no contact from the company. I have been unable to log into my account since last year and now they've randomly taken my money without my permission, with the same details I used before. I have emailed them and hoping for a response soon and also a refund as now I will be facing bank charges for going overdrawn. Charged me 2 days before my payday !!

I paid for a 12 month subscription…
I paid for a 12 month subscription in June 2022. I only received boxes in July, August and then the September box was delivered in October, nothing since… so out of the 12 months I’ve only received 3 boxes.
Customer service has ignored me, tried doing a chargeback from my bank but they can’t get the money back either. There’s no way to contact Birchbox and no way to get my money back.

Disappointing
Its disappointing, I had been with Birchbox for coming up to a year I think last december I would enjoy receivng the box and seeing what products I got. However since about August 2022, it started going downhill with the date you were supposed to receive the box being pushed back. The last box I receieved was the September box which I received at the very end of October. The October box money came out at the beginning of the month and since then there has been radio silence. Ive contacted support twice, once at the end of OCtober to chase up the box and one in January. I had tried to leave it after the first email as they had mentioned that if you emailed again this would push back when support would get back to you - buit it had been 3 months and I was impatient.
I thought I would check in on their website and apart from the message they had displayed regarding no longer taking any orders there has been no news with this October box. I went to see if I could go to their help and support page and this appears to have now been taken down.
The only reason I havent given this review a 1 start was purely for the enjoyment I used to receive with these boxes. I hope they get this issue sorted out soon or at least start sending out refunds for these October boxes that are now running far too late.
Shocking company
Were really good, not sure what happened, but this company has gone monumentally down hill. I am owed a box or refund but they won't reply to my e mails. Have been e mailing since November. Thank goodness I cancelled when I did or they'd have thieved more of my money!!!
AVOID
Always loved this company and the boxes, but ever since they were taken over this went way downhill. Boxes late to the point that they then stopped turning up at all, and a beauty advent calendar that never turned up that they had the audacity to challenge the bank dispute for when it was never even delivered! Shouldn't bother ordering anything from this company UK or US because clearly they have no regard for their customers whatsoever
Gone bust, no email and no follow up on the order I paid for!
Took payment out of my account on 1st October. Received an email from EVRI on 13th Oct that they're expecting my parcel?! Sent an email on the 4th Nov and received a reply the next day that there's been an unforeseen delay. Nothing since then. I know that they've gone into administration and that they've refunded the advent calendars, but not sure where to ask for my money back?

Take payment but don't send the product
Payment was taken for my October box, no box arrived. I've messaged them through email, direct in their site, Facebook and Instagram but they are ignoring all messages. Very poor customer service. Will not be using them again.
