Shocking. Their website allows you to apply for an account, it was approved within an hour. I placed an order for something I urgently needed for my bakery and picked the delivery day only to get a call on the delivery day saying they won't fulfill my order because it was for 1 type of product even though the value was twice the minimum order value. They left me in the s*** when I could have ordered from elsewhere yet proceeded to tell me that they wanted to send a rep out to see what other items they could sell me.
we spend around 20k a week on ingredients and for the future we could possibly have worked on building a good business relationship but right then, I needed my order but they refused to send it and I had to keep chasing the refund which I finally got 2 weeks later to which they tried to blame our bank (absolutely bull and offended they think were so naive)
Never will I work with a company that cares so little about their customers!!

I only ended staying there for 5 weeks, the management sucks like they always do (not an exaggeration), they're all the same. PPT training was treated like you're getting behind the wheel of a hypercar for the first time, overly serious about it, for middle of the road wage - it's ok but not life changing. I anticipated getting on the forklift and same attitude appeared like the training is so special and coveted, then I saw how quickly people were getting removed from equipment and they put me on cleaning for 3 weeks, it was a bit of a running joke in the end, I was glad to escape because it became insufferable with all the rules and regulations, I was just glad to escape. I get some nice boots out of it and some wages, in the end I was glad to go, no real draw to being there other than pay and boots. Not a total waste of time but not great either,

I was booked in for a interview for a job, I've been trying to get into bidfood for a long time now. Anyways I was booked in 3weeks prior to today's interview and because I'm not polish they've basically lied to me saying they've covered the job!
3weeks of telling other companies that I have my career in place with bidfood!! I went for the Worcester depot & yeah they've really honestly put me in the sh*t now seeing all these negative reviews I see where I went wrong.

Word of advice:DON'T THINK YOU CAN GET INTO BIDFOOD BECAUSE YOU CAN'T!
I have over 10years experience on forklifts and I've been in every sector there is in warehousing! Worst company I've ever came across.
I even rang head office but not 1 person can help resolve the issue.
Ah well it's down to you guys fault hiring idiots to run the company!!

On Thursday 2 July at 8.30am while driving on Kensington High Street a Bidfood driver (reg SN75 WFA) said to me “Get in the f**king left lane. Do you understand? Get in the f**king left lane“. He then started to force me over into oncoming traffic - really intimidating for a cyclist! The only reason I was in the right lane was because the truck was in the left lane in the space that I would normally use and he was deliberately blocking me from getting into the left lane. This was a totally unnecessary and unpleasant encounter and not what I would expect from a company with a Royal warrant.

Once again failed to deliver an item I have paid for. No doubt it will take weeks to investigate and credit.

Would like to say a big thank u to the driver who delivered to Cambridge Services today for letting one of the staff stand beside his truck to let one of the extra staff to cool off especially in this hot weather a massive well done to the driver

Inconsiderate lorry drivers who constantly block the road of Coronation Street Cambridge just so their delivery can be easier. They should be parking up round the corner where there is plenty of room without impeding traffic!

Despite contacting the local depot department on numerous occasions this continues to be a selfish act of breaking the Highways Act 1980 impeding traffic.

On top of this when the delivery is done they speed of sometimes recklessly depending on the driver.

I do sympathise with the compacted tight areas however their is considerably more room in regards to this area and it's comes across as nothing but using common sense and being less selfish.

I sent a complaint to the Chepstow depot about one of their drivers even sent them dash cam footage of dangerous driving and their driver being aggressive and no reply, very professional from driver to replying to emails, next time I will just forward straight to the police for dangerous driving.

Yet again large HGV blocking access to main entrance to 83 residential flats in Albert Rd Bournemouth, AND the public turnaround space (only area to turnaround in a road with only 1 road entrance). Parked in NO parking NO loading, 24/7 area - and clearly marked.

As this happened on numerous previous occasions, its clearly a Company that does not care and acting irresponsibly and selfishly. Previously reported drivers to their head office, with no effect. I would not have any business arrangements with such an unprofessional company.

Hi Marie. Thanks for the reply, which is appreciated. However this is the 3rd time I have reported this, and the previous time to yourself. I realise it’s not your fault (nothing personal) but as it keeps happening, Bidfood UK clearly comes across as incompetent.

I’m not here to complain about the company but I am here to complain about a dangerous driver that was driving up the a10 on Friday. He was driving very recklessly being a bully and exceeding the speed limit. It happened after 5pm so I couldn’t get though to the company. Something really needs to be done about that driver or someone will end up dead. I have photos of the van and the driver. The registration of the vehicle is SN75 XCW. PLEASE GET THIS DRIVER OFF THE ROAD

Wouldn't use again. Very expensive. Question your payments because 'they had someone who didn't press a button', not going to use anymore.
Thankfully found a cheaper supplier.

Delivery lorry for garner hotel in Acocks Green Birmingham always parking on pavement and blocking it and the road. Today it parking by a hump back bridge.

Unfortunately my negative reviews were removed from this forum by Bidfood as it was considered "defamatory". Its very clear that all star rating reviews on this forum are not indicative of the true rating as the negatives are removed by Bidfood who only allow the positive reviews to be posted, this practise of soliciting feedback & burying negative reviews is unethical & misleading & violates review policies. Typical of Bidfoods.

I say good place to work support is there when Ur struggling poor training and and overwhelming expectations early on pushed me to walk away I feel my review is a fair assessment of bidfood Bicester without being bitter about my departure.
They need to be better at training new drivers at picking products and be honest to agencies drivers that they are just being used as man power.

Opened an account and was told delivery couldn’t be arranged until a driver was “routed”. Nothing ever happened.

Called back a few days later and was then told they can’t deliver because it’s a residential address — which is flat-out wrong. The address is part commercial, and I even sent photos to prove it.

Next excuse: I was told to open a cash account so I could order online and get delivery on a smaller van. Did exactly that, placed the order, and thought it was finally sorted.

Then, at 3pm the day before delivery, I get a call — framed as a “courtesy” — to say the general manager has decided they won’t accept the order at all.

Absolutely incredible. Has the general manager bothered to read the hundreds of bad reviews online, or are they just adding to them?

Total incompetence from start to finish. Wasted time, constant contradictions, and zero accountability. Avoid unless you enjoy frustration and cancelled orders.

What a joke of a company. Disgusting management no standards, no care for people's mental health and wellbeing.
Poor routes, pick and choose and have favourites.
Management shares information and is not confidential.
Health and safety is shocking
Constantly calling you and pushing you on delivery times.
This company breaches on GDPR, does not follow correct procedures and watches you on camera without consent and shares this information with work colleagues.
This company does not follow it's own guidelines or HR guidelines.
Absolutely disgusting and shocking company.

Worse possible supplier in whole of my career. Never deliver on time, lie that driver on the way and suddenly he changes route and they cannot deliver. When ring them , just lie that they will deliver next day and noone turns up. Raise a refund and it takes 3 weeks to process credit note and once credit note is raised, you still don't get refund and they give you another number to call, when you call them ,they say they have not recieved the note internally. I have ongoing complaint and all below people copied on by customer services to respond but noone has reaponded till date for ongoing 4 week complaint. Absolutely shame as we are a very big customer. Unfortunately this has happened on 4 different occasions in 3 months leading tk loss of sales on weekends and they dont even apologise.Changing supplier to better supplier finally with good account manager who will care. Also, working with local news as their long term customer and they will be publishing my story as have all the evidence. Surely this will make Bidood their well deserved lesson. Wait and watch. I had enough. No wonder they have 1 star review but time for them to learn a lesson now.

Bid food are an absolutely disgusting company who sacked my husband after 26 years of service days after our daughter just about died. Not bothered about mental health. Left us in such a mess, we could hardly deal with our daughter. My husband was suffering mentally they were just not interested and made things a million times worse for us, especially for our young daughter.
