They have basically stolen our money
Having had a trip cancelled due to the war, due to travel 2nd April, as of today, 17th July still no refund. Told it would be 4 weeks, then 8 weeks, then 12 weeks. Despite much chasing then told the payment would be processed - took multiple phone calls until it was done on the Friday afternoon. Told 3-5 days to show. 5 days later the bank confirm no pending payments. Several phone calls to discover there was an issue with the payment. Despite that being found this morning, several chasing phone calls to finally get an update at 7pm that says nobody is around over the weekend and they’ll pick it up Monday. We are owed over £9000 and at this point there is every excuse under the sun to not return our money. They don’t return calls when they say they will and they don’t stick to what they say. Use this company at your peril. Will never book again.

We fully understand how frustrating and disappointing this has been, and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience and uncertainty that this has caused.
When the FCDO issued advice against travel, we were suddenly faced with an unprecedented volume of refund requests within a very short period of time. While we immediately put measures in place to process these as quickly as possible, the sheer number of refunds has created a significant backlog. Unfortunately this backlog has affected the processing of all refunds, not only those relating to cancelled holidays and we do appreciate the patience you have shown.
You have today - Monday - been contacted by our General Manager who has extended sincere apologies and addressed the matter and will follow this through with you personally to resolution.
Once again, we would like to offer our apologies for the delay and for the frustration that this has caused.

Evasive about refunds. Beware.
I am deeply concerned about the integrity of this company, a travel agent that I have happily used for many years. They are refusing to confirm that they will offer a refund of our package holiday, should the Foreign Office advise against all but essential travel to Dubai before we travel. The offer of a refund is a legal requirement, yet they refuse to acknowledge this in writing, to give a straight answer to a valid question.
Buyer beware, and I am afraid that their evasive behaviour will put me off booking with and trusting them in future. Very poor treatment of loyal customers.

At the present time, the FCDO advisory warns that the situation in the Middle East remains unpredictable. Should this be updated to advising against all but essential travel to the region, then of course the situation will be reviewed and in line with our obligations under the Package Travel Regulations refunds will be issued.
Rest assured there is certainly no intention to be evasive as we understand how important it is to have clear communication, especially concerning travel plans and evolving advisories. Sat here in tears. Best at travel have left me in a financial mess and they don’t care one iota. My holiday was cancelled on 28th April. I had paid the best part of £4000 off the balance even though it wasn’t due. I was told I could not have a refund for 11 weeks. I raised a dispute with my credit card. Initially the credit card company agreed and refunded my money. Then Best At Travel disputed their decision and won because “the company are prepared to refund me week commencing 13th July.” The credit card company have now taken £4000 from my account that I don’t have and in addition have charged me over £200 in interest. My refund is due this week. I have called Best At Travel yesterday and today pleading that they sort my refund asap. It’s like talking to a brick wall, no empathy or consideration for my situation whatsoever. I’ve booked with this company on several occasions throughout the years but never again. I will not cease to spread the word about this company - the way they have treated me and others based upon their reviews is heartless and disgusting

Ridiculous Negative Reviews
I wanted to put on record that I have been looking at reviews of Best at Travel something I do every now and again as a regular customer.
I noted that the recent "negative" reviews were from clients who had holidays cancelled due to the Iran / USA war.
What is wrong with these people, this war was not of Best at Travel's making, there were thousands of clients affected and as ever it is clear that Best at Travel did their very best to deal with the situation.
Their website stated that they had to prioritise people currently overseas, what did these clients expect them to do, deal with someone who's holiday was months away or help people right in the middle of it.
Best at Travel are just that, the Best. I have been using them for a number of years and have had nothing but excellent service, most especially from Lauren and Sonny.
I would say to these people who wrote these ridiculous 1 star reviews, how would you have dealt with the situation ? Could you of done any better - I have much doubt it.

When i emailed requesting a call back it happened almost immediately, I was called by Lauren who was fantastic she talked me through everything and after listening to what we were looking for sent over some choices for us .
