Bad company
Bad company. There was a problem in the flat and, even though I'm paying a lot, they didn't care about it. Poor customer service, they clearly don't care about you.
Save your money for a studio or another company.
PS. you'll spend through your teeth on deposit + moving in fee (somehow 2,300 euros together).

una pesadilla. Una empresa de incompetentes. He alquilado en madrid y hay miles de fallos, te quedas sin luz, fuera de la casa entre los problemas as graves. Mienten por todo, no devuleven el dinero , eso si, lo roban como nadie.

oCmpletely ignored all issues in the house,no replies to calls or emails when problems came up. On top of that, they never returned my deposit without any explanation. Unprofessional and dishonest. Avoid if you want peace of mind

No se lo recomendaría ni a mi peor enemigo. Además del precio desorbitado por una habitación en Madrid (que no lo merece), la comunicación es nefasta. Desde el principio han pasado gastos y subidas de precio sin sentido y sin ningún tipo de explicación. Los problemas en el piso han sido constantes y ninguno con solución, llegando a no poder entrar en la casa. Cuando piensas que nada puede ser peor, vienen y te sorprenden con algún problema y, por supuesto, sin ganas de arreglarlo para agradar al inquilino que está pagando la cantidad de dinero que piden. Si estáis dudando en alquilar con esta empresa, ni se os ocurra, porque no hay por donde cogerla, nada es positivo.

Horrendous experience.
This company is not trustworthy or reliable in my opinion. The apartment rented out constantly has the light system failing and I have to spend days outside of the apartment, with no solution from the company. They say they have 24/7 customer service but I have yet to receive any type of support from the company. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

lo peor que puedes elegir para tu alquiler. SIEMPRE con problemas de cada tipo, la aplicación deja de funcionar (no te dan llaves para poder acceder a tu casa de otra forma), te cobran servicios que luego no tienen, el fin de semana nos hemos quedado sin corriente, sin llaves, hemos pagado hoteles varias veces y no han contestado ni resuelto ninguna de las varias emergencias (pero si cobran un precio extra mensual para “servicios 24h). Incompetentes y ratas de otro nivel, eso sí, cobran lo que sea de tu tarjeta una vez que la registres. Ha sido una auntentica pesadilla esta estancia
Awful experience with never-ending problems
I stayed in a Badi apartment in Barcelona for 4 months, in an en-suite room that costs about as much as the entire apartment’s rent (if this were a 12+ month rental). Paying a premium for a premium experience, you might say - but you’d be wrong.
From day 1 of moving into my apartment there were issues, starting with the ‘smart’ lock system failing and leaving me locked out for several hours on a Sunday evening. The ‘smart’ lock system failed once a month for the 4 months I was in the apartment, and every time Badi reassured us it wouldn’t happen again (without having resolved the underlying single points of failure).
On one occasion, we were all locked out for 25 hours and had to sleep elsewhere. It turns out Badi hadn’t replaced the smart lock battery in time (an extremely basic thing to stay on top of).
Badi constantly blamed others for these issues - the smart lock company, their telco provider, the energy company. As if they’re being forced to use smart locks, or to not have any redundancy built in! It’s absolutely infuriating and a breach of contract.
Other things that sucked:
- Being charged for excess electricity consumption because we were having to run high-consumption appliances like the washing machine and dishwasher BECAUSE THEY WEREN’T WORKING PROPERLY. Badi refused to accept responsibility over this, and kept “misunderstanding” the nature of the dispute until we gave up.
- Generally having to report issues every single week while I was there, either because of new problems arising with the flat, or because Badi wouldn’t deal with many things until being chased over and over.
- Management completely refused to engage. I asked several times to speak to management to share my issues and complain about the awful service, and was told that “management does not speak to customers”
- Badi staff entering the apartment without prior notice or consent from us
- Badi telling us that it’s not their fault they take 24h to respond to urgent messages, because their team is too small (as if they can’t hire more people to cope with demand)
- Customer support just giving copy-paste generic answers instead of answering specific questions
For a premium price service, this quality of service was unacceptable. Don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures, the stress isn’t worth it.

Para mi fue una experiencia genial por los meses que estuve en Barcelona. El apartamento es mucho mejor de lo que puedes esperar en Barcelona, que suele no haber aire acondicionado o calefacción central. Agradecida por la atención cuando hubo fallos de electricidad en el edificio y por el acompañamiento durante la estancia por parte de los mejores roomies.

BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE BOOKING AN APARTMENT THROUGH BADI.
Let me start with the good: the apartment itself was nice, in a great location, and the maintenance team was quick to respond when needed.
But that’s about where the positives end.
If you book through their platform (Badi Plus), you’ll be charged “service fees” — basically a cut of your rent — which they call the Badi Fee. The longer your stay, the higher the fee. For my 11-month stay, the fee added up to nearly one full month of rent.
What I didn’t know when I booked is that rent prices on Badi fluctuate massively. I ended up paying hundreds of euros more per month than my roommate — for the exact same room in the same apartment. And because the Badi Fee is based on your rent, I also paid way more in fees than him... for the same services.
It gets worse: if you book the same room on Airbnb, you don’t pay Badi Fees at all. Apparently, “terms and conditions vary.”
Now here’s the part I’ve been disputing for nearly a year — the so-called overconsumption fees. Our apartment was on the top floor with a glass roof, which meant freezing in the winter and insanely hot in the summer. We used the AC, sure — but we were mindful of our energy use. I travel regularly and was gone for weeks at a time. Still, I ended up paying nearly €500 extra for utilities over the year — on top of a €1500/month rent. The threshold for “overconsumption” is vague at best, and they completely ignore your feedback.
Oh, and once again — if you booked through Airbnb? These fees don’t apply. Why? Because they can’t charge your credit card.
So in our two-person apartment, I paid more rent, more Badi fees, and more utility charges — while my roommate (who booked through Airbnb) paid less across the board and was never charged for extra electricity. He could’ve been running a full weed farm in his room and I would’ve ended up footing the bill.
Bottom line: read between the lines and be extremely cautious before booking through Badi. There are way more transparent coliving options in Barcelona.
And whatever you do — don’t give them access to your credit card. Once they have it, they can charge you whatever they want.

I had never lived in a coliving space before, and I had some doubts, but Badi has exceeded all my expectations. From the very beginning, the team was attentive and helped me with all my questions. I love the sense of community it creates—it's really easy to meet new people, and there are always interesting plans. Plus, the location is perfect for getting around the city without any hassle. It has been an amazing experience!
