Worst costumer service experience.

No costumer service at all, they cancel all of your cases when you have a problem. They make it seems like they have a monthly subscription plan but it's a whole year subscription and you end up having to pay for the whole year when you only needed a month. Product doesn't work on any computers I've tried. For like the 10000 times i've tried to open a chat with them and it's been cancel because "no agents are present to talk"

Just hire people for God's sake. And please offer a decent customer service.

Very difficult to navigate

Very difficult to navigate. Extremely complicated and unclear. I am paying monthly for Siblelius but I can't currently access it because of the excessive hoops to jump through - the system is glitched and taking me round in circles. If I'm paying for Sibelius, why should I be denied the access to Sibelius because of Avid's loopholes? They make it nearly impossible for me to achieve access to Sibelius or to ask for my money back, as contacting them requires hours and days of dedication and waiting. Really poor service. I don't understand why this is a business. I just want to use Sibelius.

Wow - PRO TOOLS is a nightmare

Wow! I've never encountered worse service, but even more fundamentally a very flawed product (Pro Tools)

I've now successfully download another DAW (Audacity). It was so easy to download and run than Pro Tools (which is a nightmare)

There is NO access via phone, email or online support!

Although COVID19 means everything is shutting down - it does not excuse this company from disabling ALL possible access of contacting them! I am having problems with unregistering Sibelius from on an old laptop, and the same problem registering it on the new laptop (with a licenced product that I purchased a few years ago) - I can't contact them via phone and there is no email support. The only online support available is for users who have the latest version (Sibelius 8) which discounts myself (I have Sibelius 6), unless I pay £30 for a one-time support call.

There customer service is literally non-existance. Sort it out Avid!

Avid customer service: the Worst in the industry!

Avid customer service is simply horrendous!!!
I have been a customer for 7 years. Whenever an issue comes up, getting it resolved is a real challenge. Avid has been double-charging me since November: I renewed my subscription, paid a whole year up front, but realized last month that they are also charging me a monthly fee. Now trying to get them to refund... They are pretty much playing dead.
A matter like this would be resolved instantly if dealt with ANY COMPANY, specially in the field.
Avid is a joke! The only reason I stick to them, is that I have NO CHOICE: my job requires me to use it.
Needless to say, I do not use PT outside of my job requirements.

Terrible (no) customer service.

Updated to OS Catalina, and of course pro tools doesn’t work with it. Tried every possible way to get in contact for some support, of course nothing. They actually charge you to file a query and then don’t respond anyway! Laughable! Have never known a company to be so disinterested in their customers. They don’t even pretend to have any customer service. Will be using other software from now on, hopefully Avid falls away into irrelevance as more people experience their incompetence.

The reviews say it all.

Avid are a collection of failed techs, clowns and muppets. Greed and incompetence is the only thing they excel at. After more than 40 years in the music industry, both recording and producing, I can assure you that 90+% of all musicians, engineers and producers I have come into contact in major studios and the 'network' detest the very name of Avid.

According to the grape-vine, they are currently in massive debt. So the sooner this band of charlatans are bought out by – 'anyone' – the better. Maybe then they can bring their software within a light-year of virtually every other DAW.

Still, they're good for a laugh: New 2019 update: you can now 'name' your tracks! Laughed so hard I nearly bought the next round!

Worst

Worst, worst, worst ever.
How is it possible this company doesn't offer support if you are not paying this high rates !!??
I've been checking the reviews, all of them point the same problem.
Pro tools is ok, is not the worst, but there are other options in the market. Don't you care people is having this really bad opinion?

The worst customer service you will…

The worst customer service you will ever encounter. Their processes are beyond hopeless, nothing works, their website is a disaster-zone and impossible to navigate, and their support plan is a gouge. Despite having a current support plan, I'm unable to access my latest upgrade or even run my software, because Avid in all its uselessness doesn't recognise that. Everything about this company makes interacting with them difficult and cumbersome. The single most frustrating organisation I've ever worked with. There's alternatives that actually value their customers - Ableton, Reason, Logic, Dorico, Finale. Do yourself a favour and spend your money with them instead!

Do NOT purchase from AVID

Avid technology -non existent customer support for Sibelius. See my first review from two days ago.Basically after three non replies and endless automated messages requiring support number. I had to purchase a customer support package (a rip-off 23£ for one call) to access customer support. Five days later then have never called. 'An engineer will call you when they are available' - I was told. No time or date or day given for such a call. It never materialised. If it does I will notify and update myTrust Pilot review here.

Appalling customer support

Appalling customer support. Wasted days trying to get support. Chat online faility never available. I completed three on-line form requests which were ignored, there was NO support information provided by the terse voice of the automatic recording from the UK number. I then paid for a one-off telephone support call. Cost £23!! When the number was eventually answered I was told a technician would get back to me when they were available. No time or date when they would get back to me. Waited in for two days. No call. Heard nothing! Without doubt the worst customer service with which I have even had to deal. Avid simpy takes your money, asks for more, and then leaves you hanging!

Absolutely appalling experience in…

Absolutely appalling experience in renewing my academic license. The company they use, identit-e, based in the USA, is run by jobs worth’s who do not understand international education systems, thus ask for documents that not everyone has. I’ve decided to continue the rest of my qualification in Final Cut, which is going to cause me a lot of stress

ProtoolsFirst.exe is BAD - BAD - BAD

ProtoolsFirst.exe. This is pure crap. Avid have made something easy (download) become extremely difficult: First 2 sets of registration using the same mail and password - idiotic. Then it takes forever and there are no instructions and then there is a zip folder, again it takes forever to unzip and to put a finger in my eye: It wont run: Unable to run on your machine and/or a file is missing: CFnd.dll.

Don't waste your time!

Don't deal with this company

Don't deal with this company. Their processes are a hassle to deal with, their webinterface is a mess, everything about them is so customer unfriendly. Their technology and gui is slow and cumbersome if not defective. They can't deliver plugins for download, but payments they take just fine. They will ignore your requests and service response time is measured in weeks. Just don't do it. It is not a serious business. My case ref number: 03579154.

Don't install Pro Tools from AVID

I you ever consider to install Pro Tools software on your PC, then my advice would be: Don't !!!

I is the most cumbersome installation process I have ever seen, and it fills you PC with stuff that is hard to get rid of.

And... by the way... The software was unable to start at all !
