We would like to inform you that there is no possibility of deceiving a customer for damage, as during the delivery of the vehicle the vehicle is checked in the presence of the customer and accordingly he signs the damage form and when the vehicle is returned the vehicle is again checked in the presence of the customer, according to with the delivery documents. Worst company ever
Worst company ever. Don’t rent a car in Paros with Avance. They didn’t explain us anything and it was a total scam. The fuel was in the same level as when we picked up the car and they charged us 40 euros. Never more. If you can, choose another company.

We do not particularly understand your review, as if the vehicle had been returned in the same fuel level that you received it, than the respective employee would in no way proceeded to any charge for the fuel. We would like to assure you that under no circumstances could the respective employee charge you for any damage or fuel difference, as during the delivery of the vehicle the vehicle is checked in your presence and it is noted by the respective employee in the respective document, where it is signed from you. When the vehicle is returned, the vehicle is checked again and if any pending issue arises from the customer, the customer is informed according to the document he signed upon delivery of the vehicle.

Take in account that They charge you for everything, even it is a little bit dirty with sand or sea salt marks. The worst thing is that they don’t tell you that when you rent it.

We would like to inform you that the customer must return the vehicle in the same condition in which he received it. We understand that each customer can visit our country for holidays and in case there are e.g. a little trash inside the vehicle, a little dust, the customer is not charged anything, but in case the car is returned and needs biological cleaning, there is no possibility to avoid the corresponding charge. You are referring to salt marks, let us inform you that on all vehicles whether private or rented, such marks need special cleaning. The contract you received states that you must return the vehicle in the same condition as you received it.

EPIC FAIL AVANCE
The car I rented was nothing like the car I booked online. It felt unsafe to drive. It had done 161,000 klms on the dial. It stunk like a well-used ashtray. And the car was so old, it didn't even have a USB port to charge my phone for Google Maps. EPIC FAIL AVANCE.
And BTW Avance - when booking, and you say "or similar car" - what you really mean is that it will be the same size, have four wheels and an engine. A VW Polo - over 12 years old - is NOT SIMILAR AT ALL.

You picked up a Vw Polo from Athens Airport on 22/6/2024, without mentioning or informing us during your lease of any dissatisfaction, as we always take our customers' feedback seriously and in any case we would proceed with a replacement vehicle if it did not meet your specifications. Nevertheless, let us inform you that all our vehicles undergo a thorough inspection before each delivery to a customer, but also upon the return of the vehicle. The particular vehicle did not and does not face any functional or mechanical problem. Also, we would like to inform you that you are booking a vehicle category and not a specific model, as was stated on the website where you made your reservation. We hope to serve you again in the future so that no bitterness remains from your experience with our company.

No tienen seguro total, igual pagué el “máximo de los seguros” que ofrecer. Cuando devolví el coche por un simple raspón me cobraron €200. La gente que te atiende es muy malhumorada. Pésimo servicio. No recomiendo!!!!

On 18/6/2024, you received an Opel Corsa from Mykonos station, choosing insurance with an excess of 150€+VAT, in accordance with your signed contract. On 25/6/2024 you returned the vehicle with damage to the rear door. The station informed you of the damage caused during your rental. Each damage is invoiced according to the global DAT system and not arbitrarily by our company. According to DAT, the cost of the damage amounted to 256,13€. Nevertheless, according to the insurance you had chosen, you paid for the damage 150€+VAT (186€). We would like to inform you that it is not possible for our company to bear any damages incurred by each customer during their lease. Although your unforeseen unfortunate event left you unhappy, we hope to serve you again in the future.

Best check in and return
Rented a car from Avance Athens Airport this week and found the team to be very professional, courteous and completed the paper quickly. We had rented another car from a company that had gone bankrupt, and they were able to supply us a car at the last minute. Returning the car the team dealt with an issue as we had been rear ended in a traffic jam. They dealt with it very professionally and reduced our stress levels - thank you.

bien conseillé et bon acceuil
Nous avons été bien conseillé. La conduite à Athène étant sportive, je vous conseille de prendre l'assurance. Je pensais pas avoir un accident, mais à un ''stop'', un habitant m'est rentré dans la voiture de location. J'étais contente d'avoir l'assurance. Nicht Erhalten was wir bestellt haben…
Wir haben in Naxos einen kleinen Wagen Citrön C3 oder ähnlich gemietet, weil wir unbedingt einen kleinen Wagen für die Insel wollten. Bekommen haben wir einen Fiat Doblo, in welchem problemlos 5 Personen mit Gepäck Platz gehabt hätten.
Dazu kam, dass die Motoren- und die Bremswarnlampe geleuchtet haben. Wir sollen uns keine Sorgen machen, da passiert schon nichts, war die Antwort des Vermieters… Auch die Kupplung und das Schaltgetriebe waren nicht in einem guten Zustand.
Auf Mykonos und Paros haben wir für weniger Geld bessere Autos von anderen Anbietern erhalten.
Leider können wir Avance nicht empfehlen.

No car and not refund
I booked a car from this company in Lesvos last year via Discovery cars. I mistakenly booked it to be collected 24 hours earlier than I needed it. I am a single mum and I work full time so I am constantly frazzled. Plus I am menopausal so these kinds of mistakes are common in my situation. When I arrived at 10:30 at night there was no car as they said I had breached my contract. I was told I would get a refund at the time, but when I emailed to find out about this they refused to give me a refund. I then had to hire a taxi at vast expense and hire another car also at vast expense. The issue I have is that they rented the car to someone else, so not out of pocket at all. So why no refund. This is an absolute disgrace. I did finally get a refund of 120 Euros, built given I paid £500 this was not really good enough. Never use this company again. Warning to others. Steer clear. They are not a local firm, they are just like all the other Car hire companies that are out to rinse you.

You made a reservation on 7/5/2023 through Discovercars, where you paid accordingly. Your reservation was for 20/8/2023 at 22:00, without informing us your flight number, nor of any delay. The respective station is not in a position to know what may have occurred to the respective customer, when it does not have all the necessary information. We would like to inform you that since you did not show up at the time you had informed, the station proceeded with the cancellation of the reservation, as a no show. As stated in the terms of Discovercars which you accepted when confirming your booking, "If no information is given to the Company about the cancellation of the booking 48 hours before the pick-up time (or, if Relax Package is purchased, before the pick-up time), and the Renter does not arrive in time to take the booked car, it will be classified as a no-show and an additional no-show fee may be charged." Consequently, Discovercars has the right to deduct any amount from you for their account.
We are sorry once again that we could not serve you. Nevertheless, we hope to serve you in the future so that you are fully satisfied with our services.

I have booked cars from Avance on Kos on multiple occasions over the past few years. There was never a problem, they always tried to take into account specific requirements that I had. All staff members I dealt with were really nice and willing to help. My preferred supplier on Kos.

Abzocke mit der Kaution
Wir haben das Auto in GR Thessaloniki Airport angemietet IYK 1179. Am 5.10. hatten wir einen Unfall, an dem wir nicht Schuld waren, der Unfallgegner seine Schuld aber sofort zugab, Giorgos half uns. Danke. Am 12.10. ging unser Auto technisch kaputt und wir bekamen von Sofia ein neues Auto gebracht. Danke. Als wir das neue Auto an einem Sonntag zurück gaben, ließen sie unsere Kaution nicht frei. Vielmehr buchten sie € 868 ab, weil sie SONNTAGs nach immerhin 10 Tagen nach dem Unfall, das Schuldeingeständnis des Unfall Verursachers bei der Versicherung nicht einholen konnten. Aus der zuvor nur geblockten Kaution machte Eugene eine abgebuchte Kaution. Er meinte, er benötige die Kreditkarte erneut um die Blockung aufzuheben. Unlautere Abzocke. Die haben wir dann 24 Stunden später wieder bekommen. Unredliches und geschäftstüchtiges Vorgehen finden wir.

We would like to inform you that the fault of each accident is taken by the respective insurance company that manages the event. Until the insurance company makes the conclusion and informs us who is to blame for the accident, we have no way of knowing for certain who is responsible for the accident, as there are also cases where both drivers involved deny responsibility. Consequently, for security reasons, the respective station, until we receive the conclusion from the insurance company, has to have the amount of the excess blocked. Within 24 hours the excess amount was released as the station was informed by the insurance company that you were not at fault. In any way, the station tried and served you immediately with anything you needed.
We apologize for any displeasure we may have caused you, even though it was not our intention. We hope to serve you again in the future.

Don’t be fooled by their cheaper prices. It will end up costing you more in terrible service and hidden charges. They will slug you an exorbitant amount for the smallest scratch and they’ll hide behind their fine print. Theives. Don’t risk it.

FINGER WEG! ABZOCKE!
Bei der Abgabe des Autos, sind wir leider auf eine sehr inkompetente und verlogene Mitarbeiterin gestoßen. Am Ende (wir im Zeitdruck, da sich die Dame Zeit gelassen hat) mussten wir 100€ für einen kaum sichtbaren Kratzer zahlen, den wir nichtmal verursacht haben. Aber da die Fotos bei der Annahme nicht von unten geschossen wurden, gibt es keinen Beweis.
Leider sind wir hier, nach so einem schönen Urlaub, richtig auf die Nase gefallen.
Bin gespannt, ob wir unsere Kaution (700€) zurückerhalten, da uns gedroht wurde, dass wenn wir die 100€ nicht zahlen wir kein Geld sehen. Ich als Griechin bin echt geschockt und hoffe das niemand sowas passiert!!!!
FINGER WEG!! Wir gehen vor Gericht und haben Familie in Kreta die bei der Polizei arbeitet, veranlassen Anzeige wenn wir die Kaution nicht erhalten.

Laughably bad service.
One star review for the laughably bad Avance customer service at the airport department.
First of all they sent us to the wrong parking to receive the car. After waiting 30 minutes we called them and the same person told us that we are at the wrong place. Even though we went to the one we were told.
A car picked us up for a drive to their big parking with all their cars and then they took us back to the spot we were waiting for half an hour.
The person who took us there didn't even know which parking is which. They said wait at parking 6 right there. Even though the parking he showed us was 4.
How can you work in the parking spaces around the airport and not being able to tell which parking is which?
Of course we found it ourselves after we found the actual parking 6.
Just laughable customer service. We lost an hour waiting for them to figure out where to go and they work there.
