As per Auto Europe FAQ:
There is no fee to cancel or modify your booking if it is done more than 48 hours before your rental begins. However, rental rates are subject to change when a booking is modified based on the rates available at the time of change.
For cancellations made within 48 hours of pick-up, fees may apply or there may be no refund.

Do not use them. They promise insurance and then the company charges extra
Do not use them. The voucher states that insurance coverage is included, and then you have to go buy actual coverage in the country. They are a scam and should not be used. I called them up, and they said even though the voucher said it's included, it's not. Reported them to the local trading agency also.

Consistently competitive and easy to deal with
Auto Europe has been consistently competitive and easy to deal with for over ten years. The facility to change the booking or even cancel up to 2 days before is brilliant. Much better than, say, booking a car through an airline.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your frustration and are very sorry that the car rental company did not release the vehicle to you due to your flight delay.
It’s common practice for car rental companies worldwide to reserve the right, in the event of a pick-up delay, to re-rent the vehicle without the prospect of a refund to the original renter. This policy is set by the individual car rental companies and, regretfully, as a broker, Auto Europe has no control over this. All we can do is try to ensure our clients are aware of it by including that information in the booking confirmation and in the voucher.
Please note that should your flight be delayed/canceled, you should always contact Auto Europe and inform us of the delay, so that we may contact the car hire company on your behalf and do our best to help you work things out. Otherwise, the car hire company may not hold the vehicle past the initially agreed-upon pick-up time.
In cause of a flight delay inside the EU, caused by the airline company. You have to contact the airline company to request compensation.
Though we have no control over the policies of our partners, we strive to ensure the best possible solution for our clients. Should you wish us to intervene on your behalf, we’d be happy to contact the supplier and try to obtain a goodwill refund. Please note, however, that we cannot guarantee a positive outcome.

Extremely poor experience and terrible customer service
Extremely poor experience and truly awful customer service who only offer canned responses. Their poorly built website showed an error at checkout and no confirmation. Hours later I received an email confirmation confirming the booking despite the error message and delay. I emailed immediately to explain that I had obviously made alternate arrangements as their site had glitched and not confirmed anything. They ignored my email until the car rental period had already begun so that they could avoid refunding me. A total scam and some of the most robotic and deliberately unhelpful customer service I’ve come across so far. Attempting to contact the ceo David Lyons but to no avail.
