My bank sent me a text about a 39.95 euro charge on my card from assistbill.com. I had to cancel my card.
I have no idea how they got my card details. Full marks to AIB who texted me within minutes of the transaction being posted.

Is a scam , they " check the card " and then even when you send email about the REFUSAL to buy anything from them they still charge you ....there is no operator on the phone , no reply to the email ....they are just ignoring you while charging for God know what

Scammers took money from my card twice. They block any attempt to cancel. They are clearly criminals. Luckily my credit card company has now blocked them.

Just noticed a pending payment on my mobile banking app to these people for £29.99. Never heard of them or signed up to them. I have reported them and now need to report to my bank. Looking at the reviews on here it's happening a lot since 2025.

THIS IS A FRAUD!!
After 2 payments spotted it was very well sorted by NatWest who will refund the payments though necessary to renew my debit card within 5 days.
Don't report it as a dispute in order to get any debits repaid outside the pending period of 16 days.
Natwest are taking further action to stop this one happening to anyone else.

I’ve been charged 22 pound and a bit more but I’ve never been on this website in my life so I would like to cancel a subscription I have on my card because I think someone has my card details

SCAM...£29.99 charge on cc account. Never heard of this company or what they sell.
Contacted bank within 48hrs of it appearing on my mobile banking app.
They immediately stopped and cancelled card, details passed to their fraud team.

Terrible scam. I bought an item on ebay recently using apple pay (never again). Ten days later I received an email from Assistbill saying they were going to take 29.99 a month. After checking on Trustpilot, I contacted my bank and have had my credit card blocked. I have forwarded Assistbill's email to the governmental phishing department.

I noticed £29.99 had been taken out of my bank, I called my bank, it turned out its a reoccurring payment. My bank insisted that I authorised the payment, which I didn't, ive never heard of Assist bill. I called Assist bill, who ask for my email address, then hung up on me, I went on the online chat, it also asks for my email address, and said that my email is not registered on there. I called my bank, who still insisted that I authorised the payment, and spoke to me like I was stupid,and they would not give me my money back, and said that someone in my household must have signed up. I threatened to close my account, I felt so strongly that I did NOT agree to the subscription,my bank has agreed to look into it, but can take up to 4 weeks.

Noticed a payment on my account for £29.99 for assistbill.com
This payment is nothing i have paid for so my card has been hacked.
If you see this report to your bank and cancel you card.
The payment type is 'continuous' so they can take more.
My bank Barclays tell me payment has to go through then i can claim it back as fraud. How ridiculous.
These scammers need locking up.
UPDATE. I recieved a refund from my bank.
The 'subscription' seems to be for a low grade tv service like netflix.
Still no idea how they got my details

SCAM - First I knew of this was a text from my bank asking if I had authorised a payment via Apple Pay of £29.99. Luckily the bank stopped the payment and are now sending me a new card. How the scammers obtained the details I do not know.

This is obviously a scam. Notify your bank immediately.

THIS IS A SCAM. Do not pay £29.99 they ask for. My bank have now got full details.

SCAMMERS - took 29.95 out my account and never heard of them. Reporting them to trading standards, outrageous they can do this!!!!!

Assist Bill .com ,Id never heard of these but have had £29.99 taken out of my account have contacted my bank for a refund but haven't a clue how they've got my details obviously I'm not the only person this has happened to ,I just hope I can get refund

Scammers. Taking people's card details and charging a subscription of 29.99. Bank instantly blocked and notified me.

This is a scam. They took a payment of £29.99 from my credit card without my permission. Bank of Scotland stopped payment

I'm certain I have somehow been scammed. I too have never heard of these people and Have no idea how they got my bank details. I am ringing the bank tomorrow to get them blocked

Tried to take money out of my credit card but my bank notified me it was a scam and was able to stop the transaction.

Have Taken unauthorised amount from my bank account I do not know or have never heard of this company, they seem to be very Fraudulent and refuse to give the moneys back when contacted. And are now Totally ignoring my Emails. Doggie company, DO NOT USE AT ANY COST. Extremely bad when contacted And as for there web site can not even work out what that is all about. Conclusion they are ever a very bad useless company or are not real which seem the more likely, I am a Pensioner and can not afford to have payments taken from these sort of people for no reason.
