Scanned a car park QR code with the intention of paying a parking charge, was prompted to open an account first in order to proceed with payment - when completed, I received an email saying that after an initial unspecified trial period I will be charged over £46! Scam! Contacted bank, payment blocked.

Same as everyone else on here. I think they got my details after purchasing a free app from the I store. Then all of a sudden they take out £40.56 from my account and seems like it’s a subscription. I’ve reported to bank, they won’t allow any further payments and hopefully I will get a refund. This is just a scam and scary how easy it happens. Someone stop them!

Saw a payment for Billassist on my credit card, no idea what this was for, called my bank, they said I had approved the payment, I definitely did not,the day they said it happened i was o a clinic getting an iron infusion. Couldn't get a refund but bank said can stop any future payments, I cancelled my credit card, now I have to go through the rigmarole of reregisteting a new card when I shop online. This kinds of fraud are happening too often.

Disgusting non-existent company. After authorizing a 0.00 Google play app with no ties to this company... for some reason my info was then used by whoever this Assistbill lot are to "subscribe" and rob me of 40.56!!! Their website is an AI generated nothingness with no service and only existence is to clone Google pay cards into their system onto a rolling "un-agreed" contract.

My bank refuses to admit this is fraud and I'm unable to get my money back. There HAS to be something we can do about it!!!

SCAMMERS!!!!!! I used a QR code from an air fryer I had bought. I got a message asking to approve a payment of 00.00. Stupidly I clicked on it and and a few days later they took 45.60 out of my account. I contacted them and they did sort it out. Seriously unimpressed with such underhand and dishonest tactics.

Absolute scum who are the lowest of the low. AI generated website as devoid of meaningful content as these people are of value to humanity. Maybe they should have tried paying attention at school (although I suspect they do not have enough brain cells between the lot them so they could actually do something worthwhile with their useless lives rather than stealing other’s hard earned money.unfortunately my bank initially refused my fraud complaint against them but now seems to have cancelled the payment.

It's a complete SCAM. Normally one would read the reviews before buying the product. This is impossible with assistbill.com as in common with 99% of reviewers I had no knowledge that I was buying into this subscription. I had never heard of this business. I was looking on the web for something completely different. Next thing I know my bank statement showed a charge of £40.56
They have now agreed to cancel my "subscription" but refuse to refund the £40.56 saying, "...due to the usage of the service during the subscription period, we are unable to issue a refund in this case".
I have NOT had any use in this period. All I have done from day One is to tell them frequently that I had absolutely no knowledge of this business until the charge appeared on my bank statement. It's a scam!

They have scammed £40.56 of my mum who thought she was buying a subscription to MeteoBlue weather. They must have a re-direct setup for something. I'd say avoid but you are probably here because it's too late.

Me too! £40.66. Good old First Direct stopped payment and barred future ones. They’re a bit thick to try the same amount each time..

trying to contact my insurance company through their app and what i thought was them popped up , realised it wasnt so closed it , next thing i know a payment had come out for subscription , the bank refused toi do anything as they said i had done it from ip address.......... cancelled future payments but not got money back

Assistbill com is a scam Never heard of them until a message from my bank to say they'd tried to take 2 payments on my debit card. Bank stopped them changed my card. Apparently this " company " supposedly offer something free and you only pay postage and then they've got your card details and start taking moneyy but I NEVER fall for that so how they got my card number I've no idea. Anyway sorted!

Scam. Was trying to install Lidl+ and got this instead. free introductory package before the paid subscription starts. No direct way to cancel the subscription. You have to contact support and request cancellation. Thankfully, cancelled my card when I suspected I had been scammed

Tried to take an amount of £40.56 from my account. Never heard of them and like many comments, think it was through a QR code from a fridge-freezer of all things!!!
They've tried 3 times in a week now, fortunately my bank has blocked them each time and alerted me.

No idea who these people are but scammed me out of 40.56 twice. I assume it is from a QR code somewhere.

Fraudulent! Thankfully my bank has blocked my card & notified me! I have no idea who this company is or why they tried to take £40.56 out of my bank account!

Make sure you contact your bank and report this as fraud so you can get refunded and make sure that your bank block any future transactions to them (it might require them to send you a new card)

A quick look at their incredibly generic Ai website is all you need to know, it's all rubbish waffle. The only thing they do is scam people out of money, usually on QR codes that at first look genuine, but then try and get you to sign up to their "free service" at £0.00 (3 day trial) and then automatically charge you £49 per month even if you "cancel" your membership.

Sadly lots of people are falling for this.
