I booked my trip to Tibet and Everest Base Camp with Asia Odyssey Travel and Mandy from AOT was very helpful and extremely prompt and responsive to all my queries throughout the process. Our local guides (Phuntsok and Dashi) were both very helpful, informative and enthusiastic. My suitcase didn't arrive in Lhasa but arrived the following day and the team on the ground were very professional and helpful and handled the situation for me. The hotels were lovely, clean and comfortable. Surprisingly, even the accommodation at Everest base camp was better than expected. The added bonus was the people in my tour group were a great bunch from all over the globe. We were lucky with the weather and had amazing sunrise views of Mount Everest. Thank you for the wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend AOT.

We just got back from a 14-day (14 nights, 15 days) trip to China with my parents and my husband. From the moment we arrived in Beijing to the time we left Shanghai, everything was exceptionally well coordinated. The selection of hotels, guides, and drivers was consistently excellent throughout the entire trip.

Our advisor, Shirley, was attentive the entire time and made sure everything ran smoothly. If you’re visiting Chongqing, I highly recommend asking for Yudy as your guide, and in Zhangjiajie, be sure to request Gaby—both are excellent guides, incredibly kind, and always made sure everything we needed was taken care of.

We visited the Great Wall, Xi’an, Chongqing, the Avatar Mountains, and Shanghai—each destination was unforgettable and perfectly organized.

I highly recommend working with Asia Odyssey Travel if you’re planning a trip to China. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will always remember.

A great trip for our first visit to mainland China. Our agent was Blair who made all the arrangements and was always available to assist with any questions I might have. Transportation was always smooth with pickup in our hotel lobby and carried all the way through until we were fully checked into our next destination. I will make my second trip to mainland China this upcoming fall and will again trust Asia Odyssey to develop and organize my tours.

We were a group of six on an 18-day, 6 stop tour of China, including Tibet and Mt. Everest base camp village. Isaac at Asia Odyssey did an excellent job throughout the process, from initial quotation to detailed follow up on our trip. All guides and transportation were on-time, professional, safe, and knowledgeable about the area and history. I would highly recommend this company and Isaac in particular!

We recently went on a 9-day private tour to Tibet with AOT, covering east Tibet and Lhasa. Rex was our agent and he did a marvelous job with all the arrangements ensuring a stress-free experience for our group. From our very first contact with Amy, we knew we were in good hands. She took the time to guide us through the entire process, including helping us obtain our visas for China. She patiently walked us through the itinerary, making sure we were comfortable with all the places we wanted to visit and the hotels we selected. She was always clear, transparent, and detailed when it came to pricing and planning.
When our travel date finally arrived, everything was perfectly organized. From the moment we landed in China, we were well taken care of. Lyra, a very friendly young lady, greeted us at the airport and made sure we arrived safely at our first hotel.
The next morning, we met Lily, who was incredibly kind and resourceful. She guided us through our tours, took us to amazing places along with our driver, and went above and beyond to help us when we had issues setting up Alipay and WeChat. She was attentive, professional, and truly cared about our experience.
Later, we met our third tour guide, Kevin, who was absolutely amazing. He kept us informed about each day’s plans, shared his knowledge to help us choose the best tour options, and made sure every moment of our trip was special.
Every detail was handled perfectly, making the entire experience completely stress-free for my husband and me. The team truly took the time to understand what we wanted and provided excellent recommendations that made our trip even more memorable.
We are so grateful for their support and highly recommend this travel agency to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and caring team. We will definitely be using their services again in the future!

I found Asia Odyssey Travel on the internet and can confidently recommend their 6-day tour to Bhutan. The package covered the absolute majority of the must-see sites in Western Bhutan and exceeded my expectations in terms of accommodation quality, as the rooms were spacious and recently renovated, with delicious meals (note: spicy if you opt for the more traditional dishes). The local guides were also very professional and well-prepared to respond to our questions. Finally, the travel agent, Ivy, did a wonderful job, always being available to answer my questions and provide on-spot assistance before and throughout the trip. As a matter of fact, I requested to have one more day, and she organised another day of memorable sightseeing. Overall, I can confidently recommend the company.

All of our logistics and transfers were flawless. Every guide and driver were prompt and informative. The itinerary was well paced and each stop interesting. The hotels were good, the local food tasty, and the local tours highlighted top sights. Issac was great to work with and answered all our questions. It was a great tour. The combination of Tiger Hill and Zhouzhuang each with their distinct character is perfect! The extra 2 hours and the super spacious van are much appreciated. Plus Brenda the tour guide is excellent and highly knowledgable. Overall a most wonderful day trip.

First of all I like to thank our travelexpert Ashley from Asia Odyssey Travel for her great and patient assistance from the very beginning ,through booking and payment process. Everything went smooth and she took care of us up to embarkation in Chongqing. The cruise itself was awesome. A very clean and really comfortable ship, the cabin was spacy and cozy. Well organized excursions, nice and attentive crew-two managers of the crew speak English, every announcment is helt in English as well. Food was tasty and more than enough. Entertainment was great.

Asia Odyssey was great to work with on joining a small group tour of Bhutan in late March, 2026 for my husband and I. Communication was prompt and helpful from the beginning, including figuring out dates, travel, and organizing visas. Our 6d/5n tour of Bhutan left us with amazing memories.
Mandy was our consultant. She is fantastic. Every time I had a question, she replied quickly with the needed answers. We have never taken a group tour before, yet Mandy made it so easy and we enjoyed it so much, we’re considering another!
Kinley, our guide in Bhutan, could not have been better. He was attentive to every need of the group, from food preferences to hiking needs and extra time for shopping. Kinley is very knowledgeable about Bhutan’s history and it’s rich Buddhist culture. He took us to a prayer session one evening at a nun’s monastery. We were the only visitors there. It was a very special, unique, very memorable experience.
Members of our group came from everywhere, and we all became fast friends. Everyone, of course, had their own favorite interests, yet Kinley kept everyone involved, was flexible yet kept to the itinerary, kept the group together and on schedule, and left us all with a richer appreciation of this fascinating kingdom.
Our driver, Karma, was also with us each day and made us feel like we were in safe hands.
The hotels were lovely, super clean and comfortable. Bhutanese food, often served at the hotels, was outstanding and always served with smiles. Each site; Paro, Thimphu, and Punaka, was simply beautiful. Bhutan has quickly become a favorite of the many countries we’ve visited.
Again we’re grateful to Mandy, Kinley, and all at Asia Odyssey Travel for making this experience happen for us. We would definitely include Asia Odyssey when looking for help organizing another tour in the future. Thank you!
