I purchased a Low Profile Round LED Ceiling Light, which took two weeks to arrive. Unfortunately, the quality was extremely poor. I’m not an electrician, but even I could see that the product was substandard and not what I would expect for the price.

I then contacted their so-called customer service team, which was an equally frustrating experience. It took around half a dozen emails just to obtain a return address. To make matters worse, the return address is in China, meaning I’m expected to pay the cost of returning a faulty, poor-quality product.

Overall, a very disappointing experience—from the quality of the product to the lack of customer service and the unreasonable return process. I would not recommend this company.

Took ages to arrive and then they do everything possible to prevent you from returning the item. 5 emails and apparently I need to send two photos to prove I have the item before I can return it, the item was of very poor quality.

Had to keep chasing for a delivery update. They do respond but with a load of meaningless waffle.
Finally received the package today.
I will never order from them again and can only advise others to consider looking elsewhere. I couldn’t find anywhere on there site that the product comes from China, and if I had then I would have ordered from elsewhere.

I placed an order with Ashbury Home Living a month ago. The item was damaged in transit and was never delivered. I have confirmation of this directly from Evri.

Despite this, Ashbury Home Living are refusing to send a replacement or issue a refund while they conduct an “investigation” with their courier.

This is completely unacceptable. I am not a party to Ashbury Home Living’s relationship with Evri. I am their customer. I paid Ashbury Home Living for an item, they have not delivered it, and a month later I am still being expected to wait while they resolve an issue with the courier they chose to use.

In the meantime, I am out of pocket, my project has been delayed, and I have repeatedly had to chase for information. I’ve been passed from person to person, given deadlines for updates that have then been missed, and encountered an astonishing lack of urgency about resolving something that should be extremely straightforward.

Their priority appears to be protecting themselves from a potential loss with their courier before putting things right for the customer who has already paid them. That is an appalling way to handle customer service.

The facts are very simple: I ordered and paid for an item. Ashbury Home Living failed to deliver it. They know it was damaged in transit. Yet a month later, they are still withholding both my money and a replacement while they carry out their own internal process.

I would strongly caution anyone considering ordering from Ashbury Home Living to think about what happens if something goes wrong. In my experience, getting them to actually take responsibility and resolve the problem has been far harder than it ever should have been.

I can only echo the reviews below. DO NOT USE. Not an actual shop and no physical presence in the UK - dealing with China via Netherlands. Tried to cancel the order but met with a tirade of AI responses. Told courier not to deliver as no one at the property but they sneakily delivered the lights and ran away. I’m minded to sue them but not sure I’ll get anything from them. Luckily my Credit Card Company has covered cover.

They deliberately not give you the full return details and you pay for international return then the goods ended up lost and they will then say they can’t refund you! I sent many emails back and forth with them asking for details return details but they only provided a Chinese address in English!! After more than 10 emails I sent to them urging for more return details and I was given a netherland contact telephone number to be written on the return address to be sent to China!!!! No wonder why the return goods ends up lost !!!!!

Crooks.

A wonderful misleading website leading you to believe they have an actual London store and in truth they are an overseas company with items that come direct from China with a delivery time that reflects this in a box that will undoubtedly be unsuitable for it’s travel and when you check out your item, it’s of poor quality and doesn’t feel to be of a safe standard for modern electrics.

Now to be met with slow communication reluctant to give a refund.

This company is a con, DO NOT order from them. Products were not as promoted and returns is a scam where you pay and it ends up lost and without response.

Horrible company

This company is an absolute disgrace. I ordered two lights with brown glass shades which were an option on the website. I was sent two lights with clear glass shades. I was informed by customer service that this was a ‘slight shading difference’. After multiple emails I was finally given details of how to return - I was offered a credit but I had no confidence in receiving the correct items should I order anything further. I have then had to pay £47 return the items to the warehouse in china which equates to just under half the order value. The only reason that they were being returned was because I was sent the incorrect items in the first place which was no fault of my own. I would avoid this company, their customer service is appalling

Don’t use this company. This is a scam. The shop does not exist the image is AI generated. It is a company registered in the UK but clearly operating in China. The goods are poor quality. If you have used it already and are struggling to get goods returned and refunded my suggestion is keep quoting in detail UK Consumer Law as I have and you will if persistent get your refund eventually. Do not give in to their ridiculous demands and claims. This outfit clearly operates outside of UK Law.

We purchased a light fitting for £219.95 and it arrived damaged. We contacted customer service (CS) which responded quickly and offered us a full store credit for the same amount. We agreed. We didn't want to repurchase the same item and attempted to purchase different items, however, the store credit could only be spent to purchase one item with no flexibility. We ended up purchasing a replacement light fitting the same as the original because it was the only way to utilise the full voucher. The replacement arrived significantly damaged. We contacted CS immediately to request a refund (we were happy to send back the damaged item) but they are refusing to refund us because it was purchased using store credit. We now have two unusable items and are out of pocket £219.95. They are refusing to refund or replace. Items come from their warehouse in China and are clearly not packaged and transported properly which means the likelihood of you receiving a broken or damaged item is too big a risk to take. Do not purchase from this company.

It’s really important that when you’re shopping online you can be reassured that the company you’re dealing with is really there. Please take great care with this organisation. It’s a faceless trading name with a glossy website that looks like they’ve got premises in London. It looks like there’s a beautiful shop in a beautiful area. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you ring the number, it doesn’t answer. They send stuff from China. It’s really poor quality they give you deadlines. They don’t meet them. You state you want a refund as set out in UK consumer law they ignore it. I am waiting for a refund for a cancelled order in line with UK consumer law. I have updated my Bank who are prepared to do a chargeback. They have confirmed that I have followed UK consumer law. I inadvertently took in the parcel. I’d already advised them that I was going to reject it but they couldn’t give me any tracking information my husband was busy when he went to the door. I am annoyed to be honest that we took in the product. I opened it our curiosity and it was absolute cheap rubbish. The organisation has said that I have to pay for the return fee back to China. I can’t return it to the shop because the shop doesn’t exist so when you look at Ashbury you will see this beautiful shop. It’s just a front. This organisation is run by somebody in the Netherlands Who you cannot contact Who is just an Internet entrepreneur. I have not a clue who is actually answering my emails. They appear to be in the UK but I don’t think they are so I’ve got a box with absolute cheap rubbish in it, but I don’t want that. I want to send back or be advised. I can put it in the bin. I certainly wouldn’t give it to charity as it is so cheap and nasty. I cannot get hold of anybody to tell them about my experience. I know there’s been some mixed reviews on trustpilot. Do not order from these people. They are tricking you and I am going to report it to trade in standards whether or not I ever get my money back from them is debatable. My charge back is on Hold but I will get my money back. Be very careful.

Fake claiming they have a store in London which is an office space while based in China selling cheap item if you want to return item u can't send to there fake store but China costing around £18 quid to return it from uk to China?? Mmmm more that scam set up

I would give this company a negative star review if I could - minus 10 Stars wouldn't be too far from the truth.
It's best if I just explain my experience with these people:-
1) I ordered on 15th July "an Aluminium Dome Pendant Light with Wooden Stem" for £112.95
2) A box was delivered at 10.35am on Friday 24th July.
3) On opening the box it was immediately obvious that the product delivered was not what I ordered. The dome was plastic and there was no wooden stem.
4) I emailed Ashbury at 11.46am(so within the hour of delivery) stating that the product supplied was not what I had ordered and I wanted a Full Refund. I described the product as "plasticy". I should have said that it was like something you would find in IKEA in the bargain basement section for less than £10 - this is with the greatest respect to IKEA.
5) At 13.29 on the same day I received a reply to my email and Ashbury wanted photos which I duly sent at 14.17 - again within the hour.
6) At 16.24 on 25th July I received an email saying that I could either keep the light with a 110% credit to spend in their "store" or a 30% refund but I would have to send the light back to their warehouse in China by registered post at my expense.
7) I replied on Sunday 26th July stating that the UK Consumer Law did not require me to return such goods to their warehouse at my expense - they were obviously just trying this on. I told them that I wanted a full refund by 12.00pm on Friday 31st July or I would report this to UK Trading Standards.
8) Had a reply the same day at 17.58 from Boy calling himself the Customer Service Manager. He is in fact the sole director registered with Companies House and residing in Netherlands. Boy stated that he couldn't see from the photos whether the light was plastic or aluminium. By this time the offer had increased to a credit of 150% to spend in their store and keeping the light.
9) I replied immediately asking Boy whether he thought I was liar and an idiot if I couldn't tell the difference between plastic and aluminium. I stated again my time limit for a full refund.
10) I received a full refund on Monday 27th July.

I personally wouldn't gp anywhere near these people and I still intend to report them to Trading Standards. Companies like this should not be allowed to trade in the UK. Why do the Credit Companies allow such people to use their facilities.

If there were no ✨ stars this would be more appropriate. Total rubbish sent photos of lights and damage sent to them set of lights sent had no means of connecting to ceiling and were scratched on top rubbish material. Refused to refund said I had to post back at my own expense to China .Said I could choose another lamp when it arrived it was damaged and was not worth £5 never mind £84 total tat . After lots of complaining finally got a refund stay well away this company total scam. Website shows a lovely shop front with beautiful lamps and lights don’t think this shop exists definitely not the products you get sent .

Dreadful items, pure tat not worth it. Poundland would be better quality. Typical Chinese rubbish! Great customer service but rubbish products and are not representational of pictures. Imagine a sofa size you bought from DFS but literally will only fit Barbie. Beware!

I was getting to expect this parcel not to turn up! When it did the box was all punched in and the parcel had orange tape all around it as if it had been opened and then sealed again. But the fan was not damaged but it was a lot smaller than antisipated.

My father ordered four glass lights, but only one arrived in pieces. It was of poor quality with paper-thin glass and unsuitable for its purpose. Being within his statutory rights, he requested a refund and cancellation for all four orders, but was offered a 70% credit note and a 20% voucher. They then delivered another light and they have failed to addressed his refund request.

Customer Services seems non existent and there is only contact by email by Michelle; whether this a real person or not is questionable.

This situation is still ongoing. Their emails are only answered in the early hours of the morning and there’s no other contact method. We are now questioning the legitimacy of this company and would not recommend them

I didn’t realise the pendant light I ordered was being shipped from China. I had to keep chasing delivery and it took a month to arrive. I asked to cancel the order after a couple of weeks but was unable to, even though the item hadn’t even been dispatched from China.
The light arrived, poorly packaged, I don’t feel it’s a good quality light but don’t want the hassle of returning it to China. All the way through this Customer Services have replied promptly and have promised me a 15% discount.
I wouldn’t order from this company again, should have done more research.

Waited for weeks for the light pendant to arrive to the point I was emailing them to find out what was happening. To be fair they replied quickly and did check the order had gone in.
The light pendant is beautiful and very happy that fixtures and fittings were included. I've seen the same pendant on really cheap sites but this included only the shade and not the fixtures and fittings needed to complete.
