Perfect classic mid century chair

We were searching out a classic mid century chair we also wanted it to be of a quality we knew would last. You get what you pay for and this chair in walnut with a beautiful tan leather is even better in person than photos show!

LOVE this Console - HIGH QUALITY!

I was new to "Article" and stumbled upon it - glad I did! The Console we ordered was very easy to assemble and exudes a sense of quality, elegance and class. Will return for more of their products! You will not be disappointed. I just wish shipping could be less; that almost prevented us from ordering.

High-end at an affordable price!

For the price, the wait for delivery is well worth it! Every piece of furniture I ordered is of the highest quality, from rugs to lounge chairs and more. The packaging of my nightstands was the best I've ever seen!

Great company and products

We have ordered from Article a few times and have been overwhelmingly happy with all of our purchases and experiences. We have purchased both indoor and outdoor furniture that is well made, beautifully designed and holds up exceptionally well to daily use with a young family. Great customer service!

Low quality furniture, even worse quality customer service

I ordered my first large piece from Article, and when it arrived it was not only very low quality, but also had manufacturing defects and was nothing like the color in the online photos.

Despite the website claiming a 30 day satisfaction guarantee, the customer service staff ignored my emails after I said I wanted a refund instead of an exchange.

It has been almost two weeks and customer service has refused to process my return or reply to my emails. I am going to be stuck with a $1,000 piece of garbage. Since I ordered with Affirm, I can’t file a claim with my credit card company. I suspect Article knows this and that’s why they stopped responding to me.

Avoid Article at all costs; I will never order anything from them again and have learned my lesson about purchasing using 0% financing through Affirm, as well.

We ordered Sven leather sectional sofa…

We ordered Sven leather sectional sofa 3 years ago. After using for a month the cushions had started to sink. Because it was under warranty, Article replaced those cushions. We expected cushions to last for at least 5 years given good leather sofa lasts for more than 10 years. However, 3 years later we are facing the same exact issue. Cushion sinking in, getting back pain and embarrassment when friends and family sit on it. My pregnant sister in law cannot sit on it as it causes so much back pain. The only answer we got is that it is not under warranty. Worst purchase ever with such a poor quality and a company who doesn't care about customer's money and health.

Cheap fabric and no ownership of the issue from article,com

I bought two lounge chairs - Mod 35" Lounge Chair - Blue Berry. In less than two years the fabric started looking worn and pilling excessively with absolutely minimal usage.
What was more aggravating was article.com trying to convince me that this is normal and I should just vacuum regularly and shave off the pilling. None of my other furniture that I use more regularly and have owned for over 10 years is showing any signs of pilling. These two chairs now look like the oldest furniture in the room... a 25 year old sofa sitting next to them is looking much newer! Will have to dump them soon and get replacement chairs from somewhere else. Waste of money.

For our upholstered items, pilling is expected and not considered a defect. It is caused by abrasion/friction. Loose fibers have a natural tendency to move to the surface of the fabric due to friction, and over time, the loose fibers will turn into fabric balls. This is more noticeable on synthetic fabrics including polyester and acrylic as these fabrics have a higher fiber strength.

Regularly vacuuming and using a fabric shaver can help tremendously with pilling. This ensures that lint from clothing or blankets do not get tangled within the fibers of the fabric.

We can see that our customer care team had requested some photos from you to review however we did not receive them. If you are experiencing issues with attaching photos to your email, you can also utilize our chat function and attach your photos there.

Unacceptable Poor Quality - Major screws made of glue

Unacceptable Poor Quality – Major Connecting Screws Made of Glue Instead of Solid Metal

The Lenia Paneled Bed is supposed to be a high-quality bed, but the quality of the major connecting screws is shockingly poor!!!

The heavy wooden headboard and sideboard are connected using long compression screws/anchors, but the long screws broke into two pieces during assembly.

Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the screw isn't made of solid metal but GLUE. It appears to be glued together, with the internal material being glue rather than durable metal. This is a serious problem. Why are the primary screws that hold together a heavy wooden headboard and siderail made with glue instead of solid and durable metal???

For a $1,000 bed, this is completely unacceptable. A cam screw made with glue inside is weak and won't withstand the pressure needed for a secure connection.

It’s a fundamental safety issue that compromises the structural integrity of the bed. IT IS NOT SAFE to rely on such poorly-made screws to hold together a large heavy bed.

DON'T BUY!!! It's also not one of the standard sized cam screws so after searching at local hardware stores and Home Depot, we were unable to find replacements for the broken screws.

Unreliable and bad communication

I ordered the Lenia Canopy bedframe and it was supposed to be delivered on December 12, however Article forgot to ship a piece of the order and did not even realize. The third party delivery company realized the day of the delivery. It's now been over a week and all Article has said that won't arrive until after the holidays. They told me that my shipment was priority but obviously it is not as it will get here 2 weeks late.

It's taken them over a week to get an update and it will take over 2 weeks to get the item that THEY FORGOT.
The item was in stock and I have the 2 other pieces, I'm just waiting for the one piece THEY forgot to ship.

December 31 update:
Article reached out that it would arrive December 26 and gave me white glove delivery (including assembly).
It did not arrive until Dec 31 (also I'd like to point out they shipped 3 new pieces instead of just the 1 we needed, obviously they dont communciate within the company) and the delivery partner said that assembly was not included. That was the only day that we could make work to have someone in our house building the furniture so I had called to say that I cannot reschedule for drivers to come back to assemble, because of that Article tried to put the blame on me saying that since I'm not willing to reschedule they will not compensate ANYTHING. They eventually offered $100 credit but I didn't accept it because I will not be ordering anything from them ever again. Article has been unreliable and has had horrible communication throughout the entire process, very disappointing. Article did not honour anything they had promised (dates, compensation, delivery) and I will not be ordering from them again.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. They have delayed delivery of items I purchased multiple times, without notification. I ordered a couch, ottoman, and 2 chairs from them in early October, and have been waiting over 2 months for them to be delivered. After the most recent delay I reached out to them, because their failure to deliver the items I purchased are now costing me a lot of money. Their customer service has bounced me around between dozens of different representatives for the last month, and their responses range from dismissive to condescending. The only thing I've asked for is for them to deliver the products I ordered! After a month of battling with them, and more than a month after the items were supposed to be delivered, they've managed to deliver 1 chair. This has been the most miserable purchase and customer service experience I've ever had. I will never work with this company again.

Be aware of the Faydra bed on Article

We had a terrible experience with Article, particularly with the Faydra queen bed. After purchasing the bed and encountering significant issues, we wrote a detailed review with photos and submitted it to their website. However, Article never posted it, so we’re sharing our experience here to help others make an informed decision about this product and their customer service.

We bought the Faydra queen bed and picked delivery inside room with no assembly option. While the instructions were straightforward, the screws provided for the footboard were the wrong size (too long), which caused them to puncture through the other side of the footboard during assembly. We contacted Article, reported the issue with photos, and they said they will send a replacement footboard with complimentary assembly.

Their guys arrived with a new footboard and same incorrect parts, which also punctured through the new footboard. This is when they informed us the screws are too long for the footboard and anyone assembling it would have punctured through. The assembly guys told us to get more washers if we want to keep the bed. We reached out to Article again, pointing out that the issue was clearly due to a defective design/defective product. However, they did not offer to provide shorter screws, supply additional washers, or compensate us in any way. Instead, they reiterated the same solution: another replacement footboard with complimentary assembly.

At this point, we were reluctant to start the search for a new bed, so we followed the assembly guy's advice and went to home depot to buy more washers on our own. The replacement footboard came the third time, and was finally assembled correctly without puncture with the additional washers we bought.

This entire process—spanning from the initial delivery to two replacement deliveries—took 3.5 weeks. During this time, we had no proper bed to sleep on in our new apartment, leaving us uncomfortable for nearly a month. When we requested compensation from Article for the trouble caused by their defective product, Article dismissed our concerns. They claimed the replacement footboard and complimentary assembly were part of the compensation. This logic is clearly flawed since none of this would have happened if their product was properly designed and tested in the first place.

Overall, the experience was a nightmare, and dealing with Article’s customer service only added to the frustration. There are plenty of furniture stores with better products and customer service, and we will never purchase from Article.com again.

For anyone considering the Faydra bed, be aware of these issues, and hopefully, you can avoid the hassle of multiple replacements and poor support.

Great couch & customer service

I love my new couch, I love everything about it. I ordered it on November 8th and got it here in my house on November 27th! I had a few concerns about ordering a couch online without having sat on it beforehand, and I was also a little concerned about the color that I chose. I contacted customer service about both issues and was reassured that if I did not like anything about the sofa, I'd be able to return it within 30 days. I'm pretty sure that that will not be happening! It feels like a solid quality piece, the color is beautiful as well as the fabric and the customer service at Article could not be better.
