Terrible and worst experience at Armani Exchange Icon Bali



I’d like to share an unfortunate and worst then terrible incident regarding the tax refund process at Armani Exchange store at Icon Bali.

On 18 April, I visited the Armani Exchange store at Icon Bali and spent IDR 8,300,000. I forgot to bring my passport for the tax refund, and the sales associate suggested I WhatsApp him my passport details and photo once I returned to my hotel. I sent it to him after 10pm that same night.

I waited until Sunday at 3:30pm. Since I hadn’t received any update on the tax refund status, I followed up with him. He replied that his office was closed on weekends and the paperwork could only be processed on Monday. He asked me to wait.

I was extremely frustrated by this response. I wasn’t aware that the tax refund is handled by their office only on weekdays, and he did not inform me of this limitation beforehand. I explained that I couldn’t wait until Monday as I would be leaving Bali in the morning, and asked why he hadn’t told me earlier.

I tried calling him 5 times, but he didn’t pick up. He only replied to my texts, insisting I had to wait until Monday despite knowing I was flying out.

Put yourself in my shoes — how would you react to such an irresponsible response? I was left with no option to complete the tax refund before departure. I then requested to return the pants I purchased for IDR 4,500,000, since I could not return the sweater as I had already worn it. Disappointingly, my refund request was also denied.

So I was stuck: unable to process the tax refund before my flight, and unable to return the item. The situation was handled very poorly, and it left me extremely disappointed with the service.
Here’s a refined, clear version you can use for a formal complaint:

I went down to the store and demanded a refund in a very loud voice because I was extremely angry and disappointed. I repeatedly asked why they could not process the tax refund immediately, why it had to wait until Monday, and how it could possibly be processed when I would already be on a plane.

Since the tax refund could not be done, I demanded a refund for my pants instead. I was shouting at this point and even asked them to call the police, but the answer was still no.

I sought help from the information counter. Staff and a doorman came over, but they could not assist at all. Instead, the information counter staff raised his voice at me and told me to respect him because I had spoken to him in an angry tone.

In this situation, I wonder who would be able to stay calm. He became angry and shouted back at me because I raised my voice at him. This is very unprofessional, and my impression of Icon Bali’s service standards has dropped significantly.

I could not believe the attitude of the staff. He was not empathetic and only thought about himself being shouted at, instead of putting himself in my shoes and trying to understand what I was going through.

This is extremely poor customer service and shows a lack of professionalism. Incidents like this damage the reputation of Icon Bali as a friendly mall. Management should look into staff behavior before further harm is done to the mall’s reputation.

Please explain why tax refunds cannot be processed for weekend purchases.

If tourists cannot claim tax refunds on weekends, this should be clearly communicated at the point of sale. Otherwise, people will avoid shopping at your store on weekends.

This unfortunate incident has damaged your brand’s reputation. Unless this is resolved appropriately, I will be sharing my experience publicly to ensure other tourists are aware and do not encounter the same problem.

Dopo diversi anni di acquisti presso questo brand, ora mi perdono come cliente. Il pacco non l'ho ricevuto. Di sono affidati alle notizie fasulle ricostruite dal corriere quando dal satellitare si evince che il pacco è stato consegnato altrove. Sono costretta a dedurre che questa azienda non merita più il mio supporto e la mia stima!

Terrible product and even worse customer service.

They send you items that look nothing like what you order. Than they refuse to let you return it. I have to submit a claim through Paypal to get my money back and pay the return shipping myself. The merchandise was terrible and the customer service was even worse.

Online purchase

Online purchase. Bought a jacket that was marked sale for 228.00 dollars and 60.00 dollar jeans. The photos are very deceptive in the photos the jacket seemed fluffy and warm when I recieved it was thin as a pencil. Not warm at all the jeans were supposed to be slim fit they fit baggy. I have to now pay to alter them quality has gone to sxxx.

Bad experience ever

People save your money and your time, they don’t care

Have loads of respect towards the brand, Armani provides a good quality fabric on the contrary the staff (Shubham) in ORIAN mall Armani Exchange is manner less. He tends to talk behind the customer and his rude behaviour keep the store experience very low and lacklustre.
If the brand concerned about the customer experience please keep these kind measles away from the store to maintain store dignity and experience.

Today I had the worst experience at the Armani Exchange store in Aventura Mall. The manager, Benito, refused to exchange a pair of jeans I bought 15 days ago that came with a broken zipper. He told me that in order to exchange it, I would have to pay the difference because I originally bought it at a discount.

I told him that, unfortunately, I wasn’t going to pay any difference because the jeans should have been in perfect working condition in the first place, and if they were defective, they should simply replace them without extra cost. He flat-out refused, saying that because they were purchased at a discount and that discount no longer applied, I had to cover the difference.

I responded that it’s the store’s responsibility to take care of its customers and that a defective product should be replaced without any extra charge, regardless of the original discount. I left the store extremely upset and told them I would never return, because a place that doesn’t respect its clients or guarantee their products isn’t worth my business.

Lost Package, Zero Responsibility - Save Your Money and Stress

I am writing to warn potential customers after a horrific experience with Armani Exchange USA.

What Happened:

1. I saved for a year to buy a $138 gift from their website.
2. The package was shipped via FedEx to a freight forwarder's address that I had warned was closed.
3. FedEx delivered it to the closed warehouse anyway, marked it "Delivered," and later admitted it was lost.
4. Most importantly: FedEx provided a written statement saying the SENDER (Armani Exchange) MUST file a claim to resolve this.
5. Despite this clear instruction from their own carrier, Armani Exchange's customer service has repeatedly and absolutely refused to file the claim or issue a refund. They ignore emails and close tickets.

The Result:
I have lost both the item and all my money. Armani Exchange has abandoned all responsibility for a shipment lost by the carrier they chose.

Conclusion:
This company will take your money but will not stand behind their sales or take ownership when their logistics fail. Their customer service is unhelpful and dismissive. I have been forced to file complaints with the CFPB and my bank to try to recover my funds.

Advice:
Shop elsewhere. Any company that refuses to file a simple carrier claim for a lost package they shipped does not deserve your business.

Pessimo

A giugno ho comprato una collana che, dopo pochi mesi si è rotta. Il gancio di fissaggio è allentato e non Scatta più.
Ho contattato il servizio clienti di Armani e mi hanno rimandato a fossil, la cui risposta è al limite della
barzelletta.
Sostanzialmente mi avvertono che in genere i gioielli non vengono riparati ma sostituiti tuttavia devo a mie spese e sotto la mia responsabilità inviarlo a un centro di raccolta a Torino che poi lo spedirà in Francia ( a quel punto ne avrò perso totalmente le tracce!).
Praticamente ti sconsigliano di procedere 😅 evidenziando i rischi dell’operazione.
Trovo tutto questo espediente te per negare la garanzia veramente oltraggioso.

Extremely Disappointed with Armani Exchange Pavilion – Poor Quality & Misleading Products

I purchased a wallet and belt set from the Armani Exchange store at Pavilion Mall, Kuala Lumpur, for around RM 400, and was shocked at the quality. The items looked and felt completely defective — more like something you’d find at a roadside stall than from an international brand.

For comparison, I later bought a wallet from Zara for a quarter of the price, and its quality was far superior.

It’s disappointing and unacceptable for a premium brand to sell such poor-quality products at such high prices. Stores like this damage customer trust and make people feel cheated. Armani Exchange should seriously review the products they sell in Malaysia, as customers are being ripped off under a luxury label.

Sustainable cotton is just an excuse to charge 500 bucks for a ten cent item

This is twice now iv had to consider if my product is counterfeit or legit I payed just under $300 for a Armani exchange blue edition hoodie in the. Pic on the asos sight the jumper looks thick and warm quality fleece material when arrived the material is that shiny polyester but the tag still says it’s cotton the material is about as thick as a bandana and meant to be for winter this is over priced really cheap horrible looking material and it seems the counterfeits are 100000 times better quality than the actual a Armani brand it’s been hit and miss with every purchase I make every thing from Armani them selfs Ali’s crap cheap quality I wouldn’t put out if it was on fire when I purchase it from other retailers it seems really good quality material I feel like a complete fool knowing iv played $300 for something made out of recycled plastic bottles if it cost u 5cents to make dont charge $300 simple this susatainable values is just a big joke charging people hundreds of dollars for a item made from a 10 cent recycled coke bottle iv given up on online shopping but most of all iv given up on these yuppy brands charging like a wounded bull for complete crap next time il lay my self and reach in the toilet and play with my fecies would be more satisfying than this cheap crap

The t-shirt I ordered is totally different as shown in the picture and the fabric is also different when are requested to return they have not given any reply I mailed so many times but there is no any answer this is just a shit experience from armani exchange

Return and Customer Service

This is the first time I bought a product directly from armani website and is going to be the last time too.

Product: I bought a belt for my dad. It is not mentioned with all the measurements in it. The size of the buckle is very small like kids style when we see it in real but in website it looks little bigger that the real.

Returns: The worst experience I ever had. Such a dead slow process. They said it will take 10 more days to refund my money. My return was delivered to them on Jun 18, 2025.

Customer service: They are not at all polite. They are talking so rude and they are trying to do tit for tat kind of behavior. They are not asking what details they want from our end clearly and when I asked them again for more clarity, they are responding with so much arrogance and they dropped the call on face. Very arrogant behavior.

I don't recommend to buy their products especially from their website. Any other online or offline customer service and refund processes are far more awesome than Armani.

Terrible smell of new jeans

Terrible smell of new jeans. Ive bought armani exchange jeans. What can i say? The smell is terrible as fuel, when i took it in my hands, this smell moved on my hands too. This jeans is dangerouse for health!!! They say:" our jeans is highest quality", but in reality it smells as cheap china clothes, smell is so terrible and intensive, that i hided it into 3 packages, my nose stopped to breathing normally, its like allergy at smell of this jeans. I juess, armani uses cheapest paint and cheapest technology in manufacture

Dont advice anybody to buy armani jeans. Since now i will ignor armani totally, they jeans poisons me, customer.

The general manager at the Tulalip…

The general manager at the Tulalip Washington outlet mall is rude irresponsible and basically if you’re a former employee of the place, he says you’re a distraction and you can’t even come into the store or he threats and call Mall Security on you basically he’s rude so don’t shop at Armani or Armani exchange at the outlet mall Apparently the general manager does not think that being responsible and professional is part of his job too
