New to Argos pet insurance but so far all good

i was trying to buy my pets insurance and pay annually but could not manage so i spoke to Jordan he went above and beyond to help me sort my insurance out ,nothing was to much trouble and he had the patience of a saint with me i would award 10 stars if i could ,thank you Jordan

Very easy process. I can do direct claims from my vet so I don't have to pay upfront.

After a small operation to get a biopsy of the cyst on my dogs eyelid, I was presented with an eye watering bill. I paid this then put a claim into my Argos Pet Insurance. Within a week I was refunded the money minus my excess. No awkward questions, easy to complete the paperwork. Prompt payout.

I was on holiday and my dog jasper cut his paw, I had to go to Holt glaven veterinary vets, jasper had to back the next day to have stitches, glaven vets were brilliant very caring and reassuring Jasper was looked after with care and compassion, wonderful vets and people, I then got in touch with Argos insurance the person I spoke to on the phone was very reassuring and helpful, Argos were brilliant, I received text to keep me updated and to say the claim is being processed,with in two weeks I received the money for the veterinary bill, brilliant customer service and communication skills, excellent service I thoroughly recommend Argos pet insurance thankyou

Made a claim for my dogs vet bill, payment was made by Argos pet insurance very promptly, used paw portal which made the claim so easy. Highly recommend

Very easy to set up and much cheaper than my previous provider who had massively increased premiums despite never having claimed , The cover is also better than the previous provider.

Avoid at all costs. The past year they've made over 1k off us, the renewal comes through today and they are now wanting £268 a month taking their profit upto 2.5k lol, no hope!!! Who the heck can afford that for 1 dog. yes argos covered and paid out for our dogs monthly allergy injection(£82) but made a tidy profit still by charging (£177 a month). I've phoned to complain but get told the usual about vet fees, past claims, medicine costs going up but yet we get a 10% discount so costing argos less! They are making it impossible for pet owners to insure their animals. I'm just one of how many they've made money from. Would love to see the yearly profit as let's face it not many people actually have to claim and if do the premiums double or triple.

The one good thing I have to say about Argos is that they did pay out promptly for claims (as they should!) That's where the nice feedback ends unfortunately.
They lure you in with a low initial price, with no limit to how much they will increase a premium year on year. Please PLEASE PLEASE don't take out a lifetime policy here for your pet and be drawn in by their cheap initial rates, thinking it would be a good place to insure them for their lifetime - the premium for our very young cat kept increasing exponentially year on year, sometimes doubling, regardless of if we claimed or hadn't, to the point where the renewal price for a 3 year old cat was nearly £100 a month, which is absurd. I felt totally trapped in the policy and just now when I phoned up to cancel they threatened that other insurers may not cover 'pre existing conditions' to try and keep me. And if you ever need to claim (the point of having insurance!) even when the claim is a tiny proportion of your allowance, less in total than you paid in that years premium, they seek to more than recover their costs the next year and punish you by doubling your premium.
Disgusting behaviour monopolising on people who feel trapped in a lifetime policy as they want their pet to have full cover.

Didn't take out a pet policy as wanted me to create a direct debit even if I wanted to pay for the whole 12 months up front. Also wanted full history of every single vet visit (he's nearly 14 and been lots of time), even if for a check up! Went with M&S in the end, they can go straight to your vet and request the info.

Our fur baby Winnie needed an operation on her intestines as she had swallowed a foreign body. Put vets claim in online and was paid into my bank within a week. Excellent service!

So glad I had Argos Pet insurance.
My 11 month d puppy suddenly developed a painful, swollen front left paw and needed sedation to have it explored at the Vet’s and follow up for dressing changes. I just handed over my Argos paperwork to the Vet, filled in a really easy on-line pet portal form and received payment immediately. I was so pleased with how it was done.

A hassle free process to make my claim, very quick to sort out claim and payment into account, would highly recommend

Great experience with Argos pet insurance. I have all my rescue doggies with them. They are prompt to pay, portal is easy to use and updates by text are fantastic. Strongly recommend this company . Thankyou !

I had a really disappointing experience today.

To keep it brief, my claim was rejected because they said my dog’s symptoms occurred before the start date of my new policy. What makes this especially frustrating is that I was already insured with them under a previous policy, I had simply updated it.

I was also told by their sales team that the waiting period would be waived, but this was not honoured when it came to processing my claim.

When I called to discuss this, I was only able to speak with a customer service representative. I asked if I could speak directly with the claims team, but was told that the decision wouldn’t change even if I did. That felt dismissive and unhelpful.

Given the company’s reputation, I expected much better. Instead, I was let down over a relatively small claim of just over £50. More than the money, it was the lack of empathy and accountability of Argos that was disheartening.

I ended up cancelling my policy on the spot.

If you’re considering signing up with them, I’d strongly suggest thinking twice.

It’s already stressful dealing with your pet’s health issue, it’s even more discougaring having to face a lack of consideration from Argos.

Great till you have to start claiming, then premiums soar!
Doesn’t take into account all the years of paying in with no claims, just starts penalising you as soon as you claim. I thought insurance was suppose to work by the ones who don’t claim cover the ones who do…..the latest….because the vet put our cat down as a different name for moggy they wanted to weight our claims by one percent! Never been an issue until now. Oh and next year when my cat is ten, I have to pay 20% of all claims! Great! Pay your premium and then pay the vet as well! Honestly I don’t know about investigating the vets and charges, someone wants to look at pet insurance! Out of control.
