In effect an anti social enterprise unfit for the franchise they have
In effect a criminal enterprise , as others have noticed.
If you look up who runs this company (via companies house records that are easy to find) then it is impossible such ERRORS as spam calls could occur as they claim-because they are intimate with certain 'security sectors'.
So, whats really going on with them?
We can see they are terrified of anyone pointing this out, & will (get TP to) delete anything mentioning this FACT, which just makes their anti-social games even more overt & galling.
Their printed excuse here is lame- if they cant regulate who they franchise to they shouldn't franchise in the first place.
To delete comments without a considerate reply first is also anti social, & ignorant- of course.
From all that, its no stretch of the imagination to consider this 'not a coincidence' & a means to cause a lot of social antagonism & annoyance.

I have been inconvenienced & pestered by an agency using their system, & now they want me to help policing it for NOTHING ?
I charge £20 p/h for such work, consultation & data sharing, starting at a minim fee of £50. If they wish me to work for them they can pay for it.

As a telecommunications provider, strict data protection and Ofcom regulatory rules prevent us from monitoring or listening to our customers' calls in real time. We do not operate as a franchise; we provide telecommunications infrastructure. Because we cannot legally monitor live voice traffic, we rely heavily on reports from the public to identify any potential misuse of our network.
As soon as a nuisance or scam call is reported to us, we investigate immediately. Any customer found breaking our terms or Ofcom's rules is removed as swiftly as possible.
Additionally, there is an industry-wide issue of bad actors "spoofing" (fraudulently imitating) legitimate numbers, which we can only trace and take action against once they are flagged to us by the public.
We apologise that your previous review was removed without a direct reply first. We genuinely care about preventing spam and nuisance calls, which is why we actively encourage the public to report them so we can take action.

If a telecom company can't block active scammers from directly using their service I don't think they really care too much! Three calls in 2 hours from the same number.

*This company keeps having reviews removed to suit their illigal activities, allowing companies to use their lines to contact individuals to attempt to scam you. The company need closing down and the directors imprisoned.
Yet again trying to remove reviews. Their business facilitates criminal activities! I still receive calls from numbers that are based on the aql network... i will keep reposting the review as it is factual and the comoany needs to be taken down and those who run it arrested!

I will re write my review as trust pilot have decided to again skew the review process for those that pay. This company allows iligal scams and fraud to take place on the lines and numbers they control. I am constantly bombarded by numbers that link back to this company that are allowing criminals to invade people's privacy and giving them access to people's information. I have reported to trading standards.
To trust pilot please let myself and everyone else on here who have genuine grope with this company soliciting illigal activities such as scams, fraud and general constant harassment to take place.. how do we show documentation..

Well I now block and report ALL AQL managed numbers. They are basically a back door for scammers and fraudsters. They need shutting down. I'm sick to death of them now.
Just to add to all, do a search for the company at companies House to pull up the person running the company.

Scam callers
Scam callers, same number claiming to be virgin, hm tax and plus net, and that's only today. Blocked the number and will report to trading standards as aql clearly aren't interested in who uses their, supposed service, if they aren't the scammers I'd be pleasantly surprised. Just block the number and report it.

This is clearly a scam caller
This is clearly a scam caller. We're on a telephone preference list, and somehow this caller keeps spamming us. Last two times, when I picked up - they hung up. At least the second time they said "hello".
Don't know what software they are using, but they managed to bypass our 4 rings and send to voicemail service on our phone. It rang for 12 minutes yesterday. I was on a work TEAMS call and it was exceptionally annoying.

Their excuse they provide in reply to 1 star reviews here is fraudulent. They are also pressuring Trustpilot to remove 1 star reviews with this insane technicality that they are fabricating that they provide numbers, they don't cold call people.
AQL sell your details to scammers and cold callers and provide no provisions to remove your number from their database's and now they have managed to swindle Trustpilot into removing negative reviews.
I will continue to post this everytime it is deleted

Our Role: aql is a wholesale telecommunications provider. We provide the network infrastructure (numbers) used by other businesses. We do not operate a call centre, we do not make cold calls, and we do not own or sell databases of personal contact details. To do so would be a direct violation of GDPR and our regulatory obligations.
Review Integrity: We do not 'pressure' platforms to remove feedback. However, we do flag reviews that contain demonstrably false information about our business operations, as per Trustpilot’s own guidelines.
Caller ID Spoofing: Many nuisance calls use 'spoofing'—a technique where scammers mask their true identity by displaying a number they do not own. This is an industry-wide criminal issue that we work tirelessly to combat.
Because we take network security and privacy seriously, we cannot investigate these claims through a public forum or via informal correspondence. To take action, our compliance team requires specific technical data to trace the origin of the calls.

Never got RFO for total power outage in 2020 despite promises
In May 2020 their datacentre DC2 suffered a major power outage. Quoting one of the last updates we were told "[AQL] will, of course, share the results of the investigations once they have concluded. Once we have a confirmed date for the final steps, I will let you know so I can answer those questions." They never gave us anything past the initial interim report, despite over a year of us trying to get answers through direct support channels. We were met with silence even after this, having reached out as high as their CEO. Dissatisfied with this service, which was a huge down-turn from how the relationship and their operations were when we started years earlier, and also faced with looming price-hikes, we left at the end of a contract period.
Why say this almost two years after we'd left? Because AQL's marketing team sent us, a former customer, an invitation for review!

After 25 years working with this team, I can safely say they’re the IT version of a good brew: warm, dependable, and always there when you need them. Support is top-notch, and nothing ever feels too much trouble. If they were a person, they’d be the one you’d trust to water your plants and fix your Wi-Fi. Brilliant company!
