I have been buying specialty coffee beans for my own use since the 1980s. I began with The Coffee Connection out of Boston. After it shut down I tried many places, and finally I found Onyx in 2025.
Onyx is the finest source for coffee since The Coffee Connection days. I have confidence in what they sell, the selection seems endless, and the customer service is excellent.

I bought this light in 2004 November. It just quit. Amazing longevity. No problems. Used it every winter.

Great lights from a great company. I did the research before my purchase and independent testing places these at the top for light quality and brightness. When I had a problem a few months after purchase, they were responsive, good to work with, and made it right immediately.

I purchased the Aurora light pad mini in 2016. Fairly soon after purchasing it, it started being unreliable with turning on. It took a couple minutes of fidgeting with the cord to get it to turn on. It got worse over the years and I used the warranty to get a replacement in 2021. The same issue happened with the new box. I used the warranty again in 2022 to get a replacement. Now, in 2025, it is having the same issue again - despite very little use and careful storage. They have designed a very powerful light box with a very flimsy cord attachment that has to be positioned “just so” in order to work. My box and cord are currently carefully positioned with two heavy objects holding them in place. This issue has been ridiculous and has made it difficult to use the light box consistently and in convenient locations. The light box itself is strong and seems well built, and the company was easy to work with on my warrant claims, but overall I would not recommend this product and would not purchase from them again.

I have owned and used the large Alaska Northern Light Model for years. I just bought another one because I immediately missed it when it reached the end of its life. It is a great product and the customer service is the very best!

This light pad was recommended to me by my doctor. It is amazing. It really does work. The Alaska Northern Lights pad improved my mood and insomnia! I would recommend this product and this company to family and friends. In fact my sister got one too! I am a repeat customer and would only purchase from Alaska Northern Lights. They are helpful, products are top notch, and you can’t beat their service.

I have purchased 3 different products from Alaska Northern Lights over the past 25 years. My 1st box light still works; I wanted a portable light, too. I also bought one as a gift. The workmanship on these lights is incredible. They are sturdy and long-lasting—even through 3 house moves! They are a little more expensive than some SAD lights that are available, but I love the durability and I know they are worth it. The company staff is also helpful. When I got my first light box, I needed some guidance and the woman I spoke to advised me well.

I got a small AK Northern Lights unit to help with my wintertime circadian dysruption. The first unit developed a touchy power connection after a couple of months. I called to see if they would repair the unit, and because it was still fairly new, they just replaced it within 3 days! The unit they sent also had some glitch and I emailed again thinking this time for sure I would have to await a repair. Not so! These folks take their warranty VERY SERIOUSLY and just replaced the unit again, but did want to examine it for quality control. That replacement has been flawless ever since and has definitely helped improve my dark season sleep pattern. Good medical grade product, by an honest reliable company. So rare these days!

I tend to get the blues in the winters of Wisconsin, so I tried out the light box, about 20 minutes every morning, and it made such a difference!! Helped me wake up, and took away my blues. Highly recommend!

This light works beautifully. I had a circadian rhythm which was all messed up after years of shift work, and after using this light for several weeks, my circadian rhythm returned, and I was able to stop sleep medication. It has made a huge difference in my life.

I bought the Aurora Lightpad this fall at the recommendation from a friend's therapist. I have been very pleased. It is easy to use and small enough to travel with if needed. I definitely felt better each time I used it! I have recommended this brand to friends!

Great customer service. Light stopped working (maybe due to a poor wire connection) in the first few weeks. Likely a defect. They shipped me a new one right away that has worked great :).

I purchased the large light box mid January and have been using it for 1.5 months now. I wake up so early in the dark working from home and the winter darkness was really getting to me. Since using this in the mornings - I have it on almost an hour and it has been worth every penny. A light incomparable to my home lighting. Absolute game changer. It has boosted my mood and decreased my tired feeling. What’s funny is how my cat loves when it is on and she will sit in front of it as if she is sitting in the sun. Very cute. Prompt delivery. Easy set up. For me ~ perfectly right.

The light is terrific. But after almost a year of use, it suddenly stopped working. I called the company's Customer Service, and was told to just return the unit for examination and possible replacement. I did that, and just got a call saying the unit will be replaced. Can't ask for better service than that.

Alaska Northern Lights took excellent care of me throughout the process of buying the Aurora LightPad Mini. I had initially mis-entered my zip code on the shipping address and emailed the customer service department. They got back to me immediately with confirmation that they'd fixed my address. When the lightpad arrived, there was an issue with the cord and connection, and I again emailed customer service, who again got back to me immediately with a resolution. A new lightpad was shipped out the same day, along with shipping materials to mail back the faulty one. The replacement lightpad works perfectly, and I fully trust Alaska Northern Lights to provide amazing service on this quality product. Thanks so much!

My light stand is high quality and arrived very quickly. I did have an issue with my card getting declied, but the coustmer service service was outstanding! Alaska Northern Lights is a great store.

After waiting I was then told me they don’t ship to the UK so had to wait for a refund.

Overall great. My only negative is that i have to play with the button to get it to work. But it always works.
