We had a trip of a lifetime with Adventure Base. They were easy to communicate with leading up to our trip, helpful meeting up in Chamonix, available for any hiccups along the way, and responsive to all of our needs. The 4.5 day Tour de Mont Blanc was perfect for our family (kids aged 9 and 13) and having someone else manage the logistics meant we could better enjoy our time together.

Virginia and Beth were extremely helpful with all communication and booking our 3 day self guided TMB intro trip. We were very grateful to Beth for sending us an alternative shorter option on Day 3 due to 32 deg heat. The Fatmaps App was fantastic with the route well marked and the info pre hike was very clear. 5 stars to a supportive and well organised company. The only misleading comments were “ delicious 3 course meals in the huts each night,” and advising that we could buy a picnic lunch for day 2 from our over night hut night one- when they did not allow this so we had no food for day 2. Lac Blanc is isolated so we could not expect a nice meal and we are very happy with basic hut food, but all hikers agreed it was horrible. Also they ran out of water so had only 500ml of water for each hiker and rationed water for dinner and none for sale after our 1200m climb . This is no reflection on Adventure Base but Clients may need to be informed to buy enough snacks before starting for when there is no lunch available anywhere and when water is likely not available in isolated huts.

Amazing adventure, excellent guidance and good facilities.

We climbed gran Paradiso as training wich was pretty hard due to the mountain conditions, august is hot and that is visible on the glaciers...
If I book again I'd book earlier in the season.
After Paradiso we went to mont blanc which was amazing. Transport is arranged perfectly except the last trip after mont blanc. back to the chalet. We had to wait 25minutes in the sun (32°C) for a bus. Other than that it was an amazing week with good guides and kind staff from AB.

I was drawn to AB because of their quick and thorough responses. But what makes them great is their people — the guides and staff. I can’t even fathom how much I learned and grew this week; I’m shaking my head in disbelief at what we ascended and descended. This would never have happened without David S. He is a teacher, a kind soul, and a wonderful comedian. He knows the perfect time for a compliment and the right moment to become serious and more direct. His energy, enthusiasm, and skill are in a league of his own making. He, quite simply, made my year.

A 7 day trip with the aim of climbing the Matterhorn- the trip was exceptionally well organised as was the accommodation in Chamonix.
What made the trip for me was our Guide David Sanabria. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, challenging and an all round great guy. A super week that will last long in the memory.

We were a group of 16.
We did 10 days of self-guided TMB organized by Base Adventure starting from Chamonix. All the arrangements were very professionally handled.
The hotels and refuge selection were good and we had excellent stays in all places. Our luggage transfer was handled professionally by Base Adventure.

It was fun and challenging as well, the food was very good, good breakfast to start the day.
We spend a lot of time enjoying the mountains’ view and met some amazing people.
I am looking forward to doing another trip with them!

Great experience — they are communicative and offer competitive prices for the quality of the experience. When I hurt my knee on a trek, they were able to create an alternate route quickly. Really great company

Really quick and easy to organise with Adventure Base. Great customer service - very responsive to questions/requests, and I appreciated the keeping in touch methodologies including a helpful face to face briefing once on the ground (I was self guided) and checking in with me via WhatsApp thereafter. Would book again.

The staff at adventure base did a great job building our itinerary, and arranging our lodging to fit our needs. I was nervous about doing a self guided hiking trip in unfamiliar territory, but Adventure base provided all the tools to make it an awesome experience - detailed instructions to prepare for the trip, easy to use maps, luggage transfers, and prompt responses to any questions we had. They even provided alternative routes when the weather changed. I felt safer knowing I could reach someone if needed.

I could not recommend Adventure Base more. One of the best travel companies I have done a trip with.
I did 2 trips over 2 weeks with them - the first being their Gran Paradiso & Mont Blanc trip. This was an incredible experience with a very small group, making it such a personalized experience. Fabio was an amazing leader who communicated exceptionally well with everyone and who was a great teacher as well as being great company -we loved all of his stories. When the time came for Nacho to join our team for the Mont Blanc section, he was our rope leader and his patience, empathy and kindness were so appreciated. I really enjoyed his company and leadership. Even if we hadn't made the summit I am incredibly grateful for everything Nacho & Fabio did for us on that trip. But it was such an adventure and I feel like I've learned so much. I always felt like I was in safe hands at every point during the trip as we were in such experienced & capable hands.
In addition, Léa was such a great host back at the chalet - and what a great base to have. So central, clean & comfortable. Léa looked after us so well when we were at the chalet and added a whole dimension to the experience creating something incredibly convivial and warm.
My second part of the trip was the self guided TMB 7 day experience. This was arranged by Beth and Virginia, who were amazing at communicating by email. The trip briefing was amazing to get but even the creation of the WhatsApp group (for both trips) and the check in I felt was a touch that was both unexpected and appreciated. The refuges picked were all amazing and had some great food (I had heard some horror stories on the trip so feel like I was quite lucky!). The use of FatMap made getting from A to B extremely straightforward.
AB created the holiday of a lifetime in one of the best locations I have ever visited. I will almost certainly do another trip with them - I cannot wait to do another climb with them and hopefully some more hikes & I will recommend them to anyone who wants to arrange any kind of adventure in the Alps.

Honestly, yet another truly epic trip with Olly and the team! Not my first and won't be my last either, the team never disappoint. It was the Monte Rosa trip this time, as always booking super easy and well informed, and the guides Mark and Roger, just amazing and genuinely couldn't ask for more. Learnt so much on improving techniques and skills, and got some truly epic climbs in! Mountain weather rules as always, but it didn't matter, couldn't get the main objective in but honestly who cares?! Before you could say, so what's next, Mark and Roger had us hooked up with a couple extra back up climbs which i think might even have been better than the original plan and included a truly gorgeous climb on Lagginhorn that we'd never even have seen let alone summit without those guides! Top climbs, top crew, top company, top trumps! We'll be seeing you again soon!

We loved our 4 day trip to do the TMB with Adventure Base. The team were friendly, helpful and efficient, especially as we booked last minute. We would definitely recommend them to ease the stress of planning a trip.

Booked a 9 day TMB Variant hike thru AB. Everything was excellent. Coordination, communication, route and accommodation selection were all spot on. Worth every penny. I would not hesitate to use AB again.

We had an awesome trip, summiting Gran Paradiso in the first few days and then making an attempt on Mont Blanc. Unfortunately we (and all other teams attempting to summit that day) had to turn back on Mont Blanc due to an avalanche on the Grand Couloir, but the Adventure Base team organised an alternative climb along the Cosmiques Ridge for us instead, which was fantastic. Our guide, Fabio, was excellent. Really knowledgeable and felt very confident with him leading us. Would highly recommend Adventure Base.

Trip was well-planned and communicated. This made it simple to only have to focus on enjoying the hiking. I think a bit more information in the daily descriptions about where there would and wouldn’t be water would have been helpful. Rarely the GPX files did not totally accurately reflect the route but largely this was a non issue.

I had the most amazing experience, climbing gran Paradiso and Mont Blanc with adventure base.
Everything was well organised and the communication before and during the trip was very clear and helpful.
The stay in Chamonix was very comfortable, the chalet was nice and clean. Our hostess Léa was so nice and made sure that we were provided with everything we could wish for.
Our guides Fabio and Nacho were very experienced and patient. During the trip I always felt very safe.
I would definitely recommend adventure base and I look forward to going on another adventure with them!
