From booking to end of trip, we had great service from Adventure Base. Beth was very patient and accommodating to answer all our questions. The trek was planned perfectly! We will definitely recommend to others and will use them again for a return visit.

Everything with Adventure Base was absolutely amazing and I would definitely recommend them again/use them again myself.

Lucy and Calvin are warm and friendly hosts for the chalet who kept us all well fed and watered. The rooms and bathrooms are all really nice, spacious and well maintained.

Fabio the guide was also very friendly and full of fun stories while at the same time bringing an abundance of experience and professionalism to the actual climbing itself. When my Mont Blanc climb fell through due to a knee injury cropping up after summiting Gran Paradiso he was very adaptable and provided plenty of other options; we ended up tackling some pretty cool ridges on Aguille Du Midi that I will remember for a long time!

Special mention also needs to go to Beth for helping me get sorted with a replacement phone when I lost mine on the last day before flying home 18 hours later. She totally went above and beyond in a stressful situation to ensure I had a means of keeping in contact with family and accessing boarding passes and bus tickets etc. And she did it all with a smile and a laugh.

Great trip from start to finish very well organised and thought out. I wouldn’t think twice about booking through AB again, everyone I met was really nice.

The experience before the trip was good. The app provides a lot of details and content. The website also provides content on how to prepare. I would have liked more content on travel insurance and options. The recommend provider and package was expensive. I would have like to explore options.

The trip experience was amazing. The apartment in Chamonix was roomy and close proximity to city center. The hosts were very helpful providing encouragement, good food and suggestions on places to go in the area.

Our guides were professionals. They were very experienced with the locations and mountaineer skills. I was confident with their advice and instruction.

I felt the trip was challenging but with proper physical training and basic knowledge of mountain hiking, the guides will ensure you accomplish your summit in good to fair conditions. Unfortunately my group did not submit Mont Blanc however it was due to extreme weather conditions which is always a possibility. The guides and company adapted quickly to determine alternatives that were still exciting and fulfilling.

I will be returning for a 2nd attempt at Mont Blanc. Likely the same time of year. When I do I will go through Adventure Base again.

Miha is a great guy, always shering is storys and experiences. Nacho took me safely to MB. The facilitys were great and confortable. Maybe a farewell dinner would have been nice, but its just a detail. I didnt summited MB because of the weather, made it only till the middle of it. So now i have to come back. I will be at the top one day. Thanks for theese journay. Up is the only way!

In general a fantastic week. It was very physically demanding as it was early season and there was extra snow and complications on parts of the route up to Mont Blanc. The accomodation good and hosts (Lucy and Calvin) were excellent.

The two guides we had (Nacho and Fabio) were very experienced and made you feel very safe.

There were some slight issues with transport at the end but in reality these were minor.

My one caution here would be that if you are considering this trip don't underestimate the need for fitness and some hill experience. I'm generally fit (putting a mix of activity for about 10 hrs per week) and I found it difficult. I found the intro courses with Matt Cooper of The Mountaineering Company invaluable. The YouTube videos seem to represent a mid season ascent.

I would agree with idea that a specific mountaineering fitness program/test would be a good idea.

From start to finish, an excellent experience. Amazing hosts with even more amazing mountain guides.

Myself and my partner were so excited for the Toubkal trek, and to say our expectations were exceeded would be an understatement! Our guide Mohamed went above and beyond for everything and made us feel very welcome and comfortable, and that goes for all who we met in the National Park, which is breathtakingly beautiful. I wholeheartedly recommend this to all who are interested.

Incredible few days learning that I love ski touring. Beautiful place to learn with so many options available. Nacho is an amazingly experienced and patient guide focusing. Knew the best places to go and his emphasis on avalanche safety with really helpful technical conversations and ski touring technique meant we always felt safe. We even managed a full 1000m ascent and some incredible powder on the last day! The most extreme thing I have ever done!

Accommodation was great, nice food and well placed. As a solo traveller everyone was great and we had an amazing long weekend! Can’t wait to book my next trip!

Awesome experience with Adventure Base! Had a best time, especially the off piste run from aguille du midi to vallee blanche. Guide Neil was great! Very fast and good communication with adventure base team, well organized, nice accommodation and service. Definitely coming back and recommend to friends.

Had a great 3 day intro to ski touring course with Hamish. Despite some challenging conditions he took us to some amazing places and even to created fresh tracks. Would recommend Hamish for any future adventure/course.

Our guide is so nice and professional, it is a very impressive 2.5days ski tour intro.

Just finished the Ski Touring Intro course with an additional day of private guiding tagged on the end. A fun, informative, challenging and ultimately incredibly rewarding experience. Impeccably organised by AB. The Chamonix base was very comfortable with plentiful food and a welcoming bar / lounge area, plus a ski store and drying room. The guide - Pablo - was hugely knowledgeable, fun & enthusiastic and made the most of the weather and snow conditions. He was constantly monitoring the conditions and the 'pulse' of each group member and adapted accordingly. My 'treat' for the private guided day was skiing the Vallee Blanche, a beautiful and astonishing experience. Thanks Pablo & AB.

Had an excellent trip with adventure base despite terrible conditions for the weekend. Our mountain leader Katie was fantastic, kept us safe and moving up Ben Nevis in low visibility and high winds. The group was great fun and we learnt a lot along the way. Thanks

What can I say, Adventure Base is a great and well organised company. I done Mont Blanc and even through I didn’t make it to the summit due to weather i loved every second of it! The whole trip was set up perfectly with Beth hosting us at the lodge. Beth done a great job, extremely helpful and and just a nice person in general. The trips were great! Made new friends, managed to get to the top of Grand Paradiso which was unbelievable. And here’s a nod to our guide Fabio.. Extremely knowledgeable and tries to get the best out of you. Climbing along side him, you find stuff inside that you didn’t think you had. You can achieve your goal with this man along side you. Any questions I had about the trip beforehand were answered straight away, even just the simplest stuff..And I did email quite a lot in the months leading up and was always welcomed with a quick reply and all questions answered no probs. All the trips went without a hiccup, they organised everything, I just had to show up basically and the rest was taking care of. Not only hats off to Charlie and Olly for this well run company, but to all the staff for making this trip superb. Loved it! Thanks again to Beth and Fabio, much appreciated! Anyone looking to book a trip and is reading this just save yourselves time and book with Adventure base, you’ll thank me later. Me and another friend from the trip are booking up again next year with them to do turbo Mont Blanc so they must be doing something right. Thanks again folks!

Not normally one to leave reviews.
I didn’t know what to expect as there was severe weather warnings and big changes to the original Itinerary. For safety reasons. I’d never been in an environment like this before.
I dealt mainly with Beth by email beforehand, who was great at communicating and being helpful with kit preparation.
And closer to the time Olly and Pablo. Both also went above and beyond.
Considering the changes to the course, Pablo done an amazing job of improvising. Learn’t so much off him in a short time.
He really put his trust into us when scrambling up a mountain. And doing a proper alpine climb in heavy snow conditions on seriously steep ridges. He actually made the course better than it should of been. And he really didn’t have to do what he did, on the last day. By far the best and most insane thing i’ve ever done.
I feel it helped me gain the confidence and knowledge of what i need to do to progress with alpine climbing, scrambling and rock climbing. And to push for Mont Blanc and Matterhorn next.
I would recommend them and hope to plan something else with them in the near future.

Amazing experience doing the winter alpine skills with Adventure Base. I learnt so much within the 5 days and our guide, Pablo, was extremely knowledgable about the mountains and brilliant throughout the whole trip. Will be booking a trip again with Adventure Base and can’t recommend them enough. Even leading up to the trip, Charlie was extremely helpful with questions about the experience and advice on kit. What a great team!

The Winter Alpine Skills training was what I was looking for, and I'm grateful to Adventure Base and guide Pablo for the learning and experience.
If like me you have Winter Mountain skills but no glacier and crevasse experience, then this course is a great introduction. As a bonus, we had the mountains to ourselves and the views were stunning.
