I used to love Acer - But never AGAIN!!!!!!!

I've been a loyal Acer customer for over 14 years. Their products used to be reliable, high-performing, easy to operate, and simple to upgrade - everything you could want in a laptop. My last laptop lasted over a decade without a single fault. The only reason I even considered replacing it was because it no longer supported Windows 11.

But that's when everything changed.

Acer today is not the company it used to be. Their flagship products are flawed, underwhelming, and certainly not worth the premium price. What's worse is their after-sales service, which is third- rate at best.

I've experienced:
> Disrespectful, dismissive support staff
> Ignored reasonable requests
> A complete lack of customer care
> Damage during returns due to inadequate packaging despite the OME packaging being available, by DPD, the third-party courier they use!!

This isn't just about one faulty laptop - it's about a company that no longer values its customers or stands behind its products. Brand loyalty clearly means nothing to Acer anymore.

If you're thinking about buying Acer - don't.
And if you're dealing with DPD for tech returns - think twice.

Don't let this happen to you. Choose a company that still values quality and customer service. Acer isn't that company anymore. _

The purchase, delivery was pretty straightforward.The laptop is great but the battery life is a bit on and off.

Computer was as described. It was easy to collect. Helpdesk was good when setting up. Very helpful staff at Curry's resolved minor issue.

Had to buy a new acer aspire as my 12 year old laptop died. Really impressed with the aspire 14. Quick and easy to use. Really easy to set up. Great for what I need at work.ps thankyou to the guy at currys for all the help.

I reported that my new laptop volume was poor and was told to add speakers to improve volume output which I thought was ridiculous, if I wanted a laptop with speakers I would have brought a desktop, then it took a further 3 phones calls and sending videos to Acer in the end I had to remind them of the consumer rights act 2015, in the end I got the supplier to see sense and replace my 3 day old laptop which now works perfectly. Very poor customer experience and lack of understanding by Acer

I'm very pleased with my new Acer Aspire Go 15. It's fast, quiet and problem free. Everything I need was pre-loaded so the transition from my old computer was simple. The quality of the screen is excellent!

Smart laptop. Easy to set up. Main use will be photography editing and perfect for this. Very pleased

I have always bought an acer this is my 3rd one and as happy with the new one as I was with the very first 20 years ago

Arrived promptly with everything that was supposed to be there actually there. Great little machine that does exactly what it says it will do

Failure of the screen on my expensive Acer Predator 18" laptop due to horizontal lines appearing across the right hand side. Sent back to Acer "customer support" under warranty as less than 1 year old. Acer "customer support" then proceeded to take 7 WEEKS to fix it! Constantly having to chase them only to be given very little in the way of information.
In the end I had to threaten them with legal action in order to get my laptop back. Response from Acer "customer support" at the end intimated that they saw this as business as usual and that keeping someone's laptop for 7 weeks was perfectly acceptable! Appallingly bad customer service from a truly awful company.

Avoid at all costs would be my advice!

Just the product I was looking for, everything about it is 10/10.Good looking ,sleek,great keyboard,and the start up time is brilliant , Thank you ACER for a wonderful product.

Bought my Acer Aspire laptop in November, it came with a 1 year manufacture warranty as standard....fast forward 6 months and the hinges on the laptop has completely seized up causing the screws to break the lid away from the keyboard and thus breaking the bezel in the process. No damage has been caused my myself so i took it to an independant laptop shop who said it was the hinges that has seized up. I contacted Acer to report it but was told as it wasnt a 'known fault' there is nothing they can do about it. I went back and questioned it on more than one occasion but they just batted away my questions and just repeated that it wasnt a known fault and as such cant help??? The parts needed are £90.60 to fix it plus the actual labour costs so will end up nearly as much as the laptop. really pissed off especially as its still got 6 months left on warranty. Youd have thought a massive company such as Acer wouldnt blink an eyelid at getting this fixed regardless as it is under warranty but i guess they got me by the short and curlies as i cant afford to fix it immediatly or buy a new laptop. Thanks Acer....i wont be buying anything by Acer ever again.

Great laptop for the price, very easy to follow set up instructions great display

Easy to set up, ideal for my purposes - word processing etc and web browsing.
Would highly recommend.
