Bike was made quickly available for collection ahead of Christmas after online order confirmation. Staff provided great after sale advice and support on brakes and made necessary adjustments.

The panniers did not fit my carrier - it did say fits most bikes. But not mine and unfortunately the stock at the local shop has very poor selection

Shop called within 15 minutes of…
Shop called within 15 minutes of placing in the order to tell me that the bike would be made up and ready to go the next day. Arranged a time, bike was ready, dropped out the front for contactless (Covid lockdown) exchange and all the info required was there. A brief rundown on the mechanics, warranties, maintenance and we were off. Smooth transaction, couldn’t be happier.

Satisfied with my purchase.
I purchased the Jetblack S1 Sports Trainer online in the middle of a lockdown so I was happy to receive anything at all. It arrived when promised, after five or six days. It is easy to set up and operate. It takes about five minutes to swap over from one bike to another because of the need to replace the quick-release mechanism. I found it acceptably quiet although I use it outside not inside. Only limitation was an inability to connect to my phone. It seems I need a sensor of some description. To get around that problem I attached an old-fashioned speedometer to the rear wheel. This is adequate if one bike remains in the stand. Otherwise, it is difficult to calibrate the correct resistance. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.

You should be able to connect to your phone to access Audio Training Sessions, Read and Ride Sessions, Gear Recommendations, Goal Cadence, Session Time, & Session Profiles. Its only the Speed, Cadence, Heart Rate, Power (watts), and Calories Burnt that require additional sensors. better storage for my bikes, excellent service
Vertical storage rack holds my medium sized mtb and road bike well. Probably not tall enough for 2 large frames as my bikes reach the limit, but it's stable even without fixing to the wall. Great space saver. First order from 99 bikes under lockdown. Got a phone call to organise click and collect the next morning! Excellent service.

Disappointing experience
Disappointing experience. Ordered a heart rate monitor online, noting the store closest to me had two in stock. Placed the order and realised that click and collect was not clearly defined. Tried to login to make the changes, needed a new password, password reset email never arrived. I rang the store, they sent me to the national 1800 number. Sat on the national number for 35 minutes. The National team was helpful once I got through to them, said they would escalate the issue and make direct contact with the store so that I could collect the monitor that afternoon. They informed me the store closed at 530pm. Went to the store and arrived at 5:02 pm. Store had just closed at 5pm. Was ignored by the staff in the store when I went to the click and collect area outside the store, called the store and they answered when they realised I was not going away. I was made to feel like I was a queue jumper by the person I spoke with, turned out the store only had a used heart monitor available. Took it because I was sick of the whole experience. Next time will just purchase from a local store.

Smooth & efficient purchase and maintenance process
I ordered my Merida Scultura 5000 back in February after discussing the various bike models and their features with the helpful 99 Bikes staff. While I had to wait a few months for delivery, the 99B team kept me fully informed on the process. When my bike finally arrived I arrived at the shop to find my bike fully prepared and ready to go. After adding pedals and a few other accessories, I was off and riding in no time. The free follow-up service was also very smooth and efficient.

We ordered 2x Classic Steadyracks online, as this proved cheaper than doing so from the provider directly. They were available for pick-up the next day (in stock), and it proved a seamless transaction - the best kind.
