Great Product for years

I use a desktop with a monitor

Have a laptop with another monitor

Now can have 2 monitors and throw the laptop hidden away from sight as if using desktop with dual monitors.

Fast delivery and competitive pricing

First time buying from Scan UK.

Ordered Saturday afternoon and delivered on Sunday morning. Perfect for impulse buyers. I always liked DPD as courier used as they give 1hr timeslot as well.

All the parts were in a very well packaged protected box and competitively priced.

Best practice to keep renewal costs down

Received my renewal quote of £30, up by 50% from £20

Looked up website as if new customer and saw complete plan which covers same thing from old advanced plan I had for £16.50

As loyalty customer I asked for discount which they gave

Then afterwards logged into my RAC account on website and you can claim further few free months on top as well.

Advice for people - Always check pricing as new customer, ask for discount then log into RAC account to claim free months on top.

Also if you only have one car, it is cheaper to cover the car only instead of covering a person to drive any car.

Fast service

Components changed so fast for toilet. It was like 20 mins.

Very professional in the way fixed quotation provided and invoice issued via email for visibility.

Good communication and response in regards to booking and keeping informed of arrival time.

2yr SIM only renewal

Vodafone is good for consistent coverage in London and abroad in Asia and Europe.

Customer service you reach real speaking person very quickly.

Always prefer SIM only contracts. After my 2 year renewal reminder email and SMS I went to do try and do another 2yr deal, but it offered only 5% discount going by website account login.

Called them up and asked for 20% same as last time for 2yr deal and they gave it. They should allow 20% from website renewal to save time.

The only improvement feedback would be that accepting terms and conditions and having it read out by customer service rep over the phone does slow the process down. It should be like Virgin Media where they just email you document to read and esign to save time for customer service rep and for customer too.

Unlimited Max SIM only 2yr for £26.40 a month after 20% discount applied. Unlimited mins and data.

Total War Warhammer 1-3 game series

Great service.

For Total War Warhammer 1-3 game series and it's ridiculous amount of DLC. It was cheaper than getting from Steam itself. Basically costing half in total.

Don't buy from steam. Check CD keys for better pricing.

It is ridiculous my ISP decides what websites are blocked when I am paying over priced for fast fibre internet.

Mullvad gives freedom of accessing what I want. Feels literally free and pays itself back in terms of time saved.

Changing account holder name

I know this policy applies to all energy companies.

But transition was smooth to close and re-open new account. Gave final meter read, paid and setup new account in a day. Wasn't moving home, just changing primary account holder name.

Just had to post the humour of it all with initial conversation.

Me: I want to change primary account holder for my household

EDF: Can't do so without having to close down account and re-open as a new account. But we can add additional account holders?

Me: Yup. Lets close down account and create a new account as I want to change primary account holder.

EDF: You want to go through whole process of closing down account and then creating a new account just to change primary account holder name?

Me: I know right. You said it!

EDF: I see your point

Keep sending estimated final bill when actual reading given

Phone wait times is an hour.

They force you to use web chat to avoid talking over phone which gets routed to an external company to handle webchat.

Received final bill which was ESTIMATED. OK fine called them and gave them final ACTUAL reading. They said they would send revised bill instead. But they send the EXACT same bill again which was ESTIMATED not ACTUAL.

I used web chat to final meter reading again and they said they'll send revised actual final bill. Going round in circles. I even submitted final meter reading on their account web login this time.

Before sending bills how about asking people to read their meter.

This is why I don't setup direct debits. Only with EDF energy as at least they actually take the readings you give them to adjust direct debit amount. Thames Water loves estimating double all the time. Read the METER or send someone to read it on the street pavement.

The best part is that with water companies you're stuck with one supplier and can't change.

Do not setup Direct Debit on a monopoly that can't get it right.

We do use estimate reads alongside the actual readings we take, but are always happy to accept a customer reading and there shouldn't be any problem with providing a bill on this basis.

I'd like to take a look at your account and make sure the correct bill has now been sent to you - I've requested your details through Trustpilot to allow this.

Good pricing

Car insurance customer service straight up asked me what deal I got with comparison websites and just matched it, no fuss and even let me keep lower excess. Fastest telephone call ever.

£270 a year and £45 Total Excess.

Self manage repair project

They sent me an email this week to ask for feedback. I spent the time to write it out then in response they said they sent me email in error and it's void. OK fine on here it goes then for wasting my time.


They expect you to project manage repairs with their contractors.

Water leak detection company

Had to arrange own plumber

That's right you have to use emails, photos, videos, phone calls to liaise with each party yourself and coincide scheduling like a project. If you do not chase then it gets left for longer in turnaround. Luckily I have experience of large scale IT Projects so I knew best way to communicate to all parties and use email, photos, videos and way of words.

Water leak detection company. OK I made sure I had solid appointment.
I informed decorators to standby and what was to be repaired and to what extent.
OK they needed approval from LV. I called LV and pressured them to give approval quickly.

Everybody is "Waiting" for someone else - You have to put the pressure on daily or until a promised date. Well instead of waiting how about chasing them?

The contractors were great. LV is not.

I'm glad of one thing. As my case was ongoing my annual renewal arrived, this renewal did not take into account this claim so it was same price. I asked them for the value of the claim as I"ll need it to change insurer.

Nice following year they up my renewal cost so I used gocompare to find another home insurer that offered better conditions and declared previous claim and still cheaper.

LV home insurance 8 Years customer and NEVER made any claim until this one. Over 8 years £2000 total. The value of my claim on this incident was £2000. I call that even.

It took 3 months to resolve, this is daily chasing and getting appointments in. Then another month later a LV Handler calls to say "How is it progressing, are they done?". I said "YOU should be taking ownership of these parties"

Everyone check your excess costs and be prepared to shop around yearly. Literally you might be best to change every year for best price.

LV don't contact me - You don't care. This review will be stuck here.

They have purposely sabotaged their app with a new version that is less functional in order to push their premium plan.

However using Google Street View I can see and check parking restrictions or Pay by app locations anyway now.

Great claims handler - Ref: WAT-008-063013

The claims handler, Bryony from Expert Property Care, Watford office is wonderful person whom has been patient with me in responding same/next day on queries.

Expert Property Care need to look after and reward more this person and greatly reflects upmost professionalism!

Had water leak since beginning Sept, which instead of usual bathtub waste pipe ended up being chrome bath towel rail pipe hidden behind wall tiles. The leak damaged ceiling in dining room area. Whole process took about 9 weeks with multiple visits, but very glad I won't have a hole in my ceiling over Xmas :D

Luckily I had spare bathroom wall tiles from 16 years ago to avoid having whole bathroom tiles redone. So remember all to buy or keep spare tiles as that same pattern may not exist in few years time if something like this happens!

Boiler Service

I haven't had a boiler service for 4-5 years and thank you for the prompt boiler service.

Manveer who attended gave me good advice on maintaining water pressure which was causing cold water problem in bathroom.

If you're still on LastPass

If you're still on LastPass. Cancel it and make the move over to Bitwarden. Bitwarden's website has very easy export and import process, which is seamless.

Reliable delivery and right part

Ordered small item on a Fri and arrived Wed.

Wish there was option to pay more for next day or timed weekend delivery etc. Seems to be only one option of Royal Mail Tracked 48.
