Britannia Duel Fuel Range Cooker…
We have a Britannia Duel Fuel Range Cooker, purchased in 2010. The six ignition switches were no longer working. I contacted Pacifica in April 2024 who made an engineer appointment (Ref 11450747) and took a credit card payment of £239. An engineer did not arrive so I rang Pacifica who made a new appointment. An engineer came in May but didn't have the correct parts so was in the house for about 20 minutes.He took photos, made a phone call and said Pacifica would contact me to make a new appointment. In June I rang Pacifica again who said the job was still open and they were waiting for parts. Two weeks later I rang Pacifica again who put me on hold and then came back to say that the parts for our cooker were no longer available. In July I emailed Pacifica's Escalations Department to check the parts availability or consider a refund. I received no email reply so 7 days later I posted a hard copy of my email with an accompanying letter to Pacifica in Houghton-le-Spring. On 24 July 2024 Rohan Patel rang me and apologised for the poor service. He confirmed that the parts for our cooker were available. He made a new engineer appointment (Ref 11598941) for 8 August 2024. Rohan also said that due to the poor service so far, we would not be charged for the parts. On 8 August a different engineer, Adrian Smart, came and repaired the cooker. The following day, Rohan called me back to check that the repair had been successful. Adrian also emailed me confirmation details of the repair. So after 4 months our cooker is working like new again. I haven't named and shamed the colleagues at Pacifica who dealt with our first job reference. Hence only 1 star. But huge thanks to Rohan and Adrian who gave us 5 star service in the end. Thanks guys. You're a credit to the company.
