Incompetent, Liars, untrustworthy

A friend of mine sent some money to my Barclays account in the UK from Austria on 19 September. The amount was only £200 so, I thought its cool to try Barclays international services to see how that works and if they are reliable to be used for my future international transfers(even though I knew I could use paypal or Wise bank which are fantastic services and easy to use).
The source bank in Austria sent the money to Barclays and one day in late September Barclays contacted me and started a very harsh interrogation as Im accused of a terror attack or something of the sort, and they now have the evidence to accuse me of my crimes! They thread me if I dont answer them, they would refund the money. As I hate to disclose my private information, I asked the bank to refund the money. Once I requested, barclays said to me that the money has never been received by them and they simply wouldn’t accept it and the money will be back to my friends account in 14 working days.
Until 2 days ago my friend contacted his bank again and asked what happened with this money and his bank informed him that Barclays would not release the money! I know it’s just £200 and not a significant one, but just imagine how many people per day are like me that their money been usurped by this unreliable, scam bank?
It’s very annoying to see people like me who pay their taxes and work hard for their money, can loose it because banks are strong enough to take their hard worked wages without anyone can ask them why!
My advice is to never trust Barclays! There are 10s of banks that you can choose that Im sure non of them would dare to be so rude to their clients and usurp their money, without answering to anyone!
