While in London to attend F1 race at Silverstone, I planned to stop by the store to get a feel for the heft of Yard-O-Led solid sterling silver pens. Due to my unfamiliarity w/London as well as dubious directions from 2 major map apps, I arrived at 1800 (6PM), just as they turned off their lights and lined up, ready to close down for the night. However, upon seeing my crestfallen face, Molly, Hamish & Rudy instantly turned the lights back on, unlocked the door, and welcomed me with genuine smiles & warmth. They let me experience the pens in which I had shown interest w/o pushing or rushing for a sale so that they could be on their way. Instead, they took their time to get to know me and even offered me a bottle of refreshingly ice cold water on that unseasonably hot day. Needless to say, I was very impressed by their professionalism & customer service. By the way, I purchased my long sought after solid sterling silver pen (Pinstripe 72) on the spot that evening, thanks in no small part to Molly, Hamish & Rudy. I couldn’t ask for a better experience! Cheers!

Nothing received after a week. Awaiting replacement package. Hopefully a postal problem rather than anything else.

The gentleman who served me acknowledged me, and asked me to take a seat whilst he finished serving the previous customers. He was polite, knowledgeable and explained the process, whilst also researching the item I had bought in which was sent off for repair. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, and could not have asked for more.

You fixed the problem of keeping the lead in place. Unfortunately, you returned item with a NEW problem: the cap controlling the position of lead is loose, so that it does not stay in place but skips out upon slight movements. Tell me how I can fix the new problem by myself, without having to once again return it to you, please. Obviously, I’m unhappy with the outcome.

After collecting best of the fountain pens around the world, I had felt incomplete just because I did not have a Yard-O-Led. I had spent long hours contemplating owning one.
One of my doctor friends traveling to the UK recently asked me if I wanted anything from there- and I had no other answer.

The pen is so beautiful that it is impossible to put in words-and there are so many aspects of that beauty that eyes can see, fingers can feel yet language cannot describe. That it is made of sterling silver is important, but not the most beautiful thing about it. It's elegant, royal, and probably the most luxurious thing to hold in your hands - if you are from an intellectual community. It's like the top model of a Rolls-Royce - if you may - in the language of fountain pens.

It is made extremely skillfully - where every element from the cap to the design of the barrel and the clip are all pieces of art in themselves. The nib crowns it all- and it's one of the smoothest yet perfectly crafted nib that shapes your letters in its own gorgeous style.

This is probably one of the best purchases I made in my life. Thank you, Yard-O-Led for letting me share this beautiful moment in history!

Amazing service in the Piccadilly Arcade store. Given lots of advice and information from a delightful man who also offered a tea or coffee. Found exactly what I wanted and it was polished and packaged beautifully. Will definitely be back.

Sent by Fed Ex who doesn‘t deliver on a Staturday but as I have to work, it can‘t deliver during the week. I now have to pick it up from the Fed Ex office which is 15 miles away.

I like the quality.
However, it bothers me that a broken piece of lead is stuck inside the lead reservoir.
I wonder if there's any way to get it out...

It’s rare to find this level of service these days. Not only was I able to try everything I wanted at my leisure, but they even offered to customise the pen with the enamel colour of my choice. In the end, I found the pen so irresistible I did not want to wait!

The pen itself is a delight to use — delicate, yet robust enough to carry everywhere without worrying about damage. The use of solid brass rather than rust‑prone plating for the gold‑toned parts in the new models was a great choice and another sign that this is a pen built to last, one that will look and perform just as well years from now as it does today.
