YANDEX lets people create email addresses without proper checks. FRAUDSTERS use YANDEX email addresses to order things impersonating other people. Thanks to YANDEX email, fraudsters can easily bypass double opt-in confirmation checks.

When the victims complain to YANDEX "SUPPORT", Yandex takes NO ACTION against the fraudsters.

The only way to stop this is: Businesses must block any YANDEX email addresses. All CROOKS love YANDEX.

As of today, YANDEX may very likely be violating European Union's Digital Service Act by letting fraudsters hassle their victims and by taking no action to stop it. I shall definitely be one of the ones filing a complaint to EU regulators about the lack of proper procedures and action at Yandex to stop online harassment.

Why are they, a Russian company in lockstep with the western globalists like Google mail, Outlook mail etc, in forcing 2 step verification, phone to register, and constantly pretending someone is trying to hack your account, to get you to provide ever more details..

Slave work, they pay but most tasks the payment is more than miserable.

Yandex have lost all concept of reality. They have taken security to the point that Yandex is not practicable nor useable.

The website is default for Russian language - trying to get it to translate to English has proved a nightmare.

You would think it would be "user friendly " but in my experience, it is not - despite unsuccessful assistance from their "help desk "

Had a very bad experience with Yandex. Accidentally, gave a higher-value banknote and didn’t receive the appropriate change. Tried to contact the driver but without any success. Contacted support center and didn’t receive anticipated help.

Best browser for porn, by far! The image search is great at finding like content, as is the video section. One complaint is that it should autoplay gifs like Bing, and then it would be the only browser for flogging the dolphin.

UPDATE!
(IS YANDEX GETTING IT WRONG AGAIN… OR IS THERE A DIFFERENT REASON FOR INCONVENIENCING THEIR CUSTOMERS???)
Well, here I am more than three weeks after the sudden and unexpected ‘freezing’ of my two Yandex email accounts.
To date, there has been no restoration to access and no effort or attempt made by Yandex to make contact or resolve this outrageous state-of-affairs.
This has given me time to do a little consultation and research including a few contacts with other innocents who have been treated similarly.
What I’ve learned seems to indicate, what can only be described as a sly, dishonest and subversive attempt to wring personal information from their customers. Telephone numbers, addresses, identity information and according to some, even personal banking detail!
Now if this is true, it reveals a disgraceful attempt to destroy privacy and confidentiality of certain account owners and to hand over and trust your sensitive information to an anonymous group of people in a foreign country known as a ‘hackers haven’.
This would leave one exposed to information interception, abuse of the data, selling that information to other dodgey parties for profit as well as leaving one open to identity theft, ID cloning and other financial scams!
For Yandex to attempt to blackmail their clients in return for a promised return to service-as-normal is an atrocious conditional policy and I, for one, will not accept it!
More to the point, I shall do all I can to make others aware of how I’ve been treated and how and what potential clients might be opening themselves to by doing business with Yandex.
In closing, Russia as a country, is currently suffering from a seriously poor public relations profile and one would think that their corporates would like to avoid further criticism by embarking on poor international business practices. Even worse, they risk antagonizing neutrals and those who might have favourable opinions of the country and its business integrity and reputation.
So there it is.
It would have been helpful if Yandex had had the courage ‘front up’ and provide explanations and answers to these rumours and inferences, but as I have experienced, they hide behind a suspiciously deafening silence!
Rant over, I will accept that I have lost years of communications data, but I shall not buckle under Yandex’s dictatorial demands of the gun being held to my head. In return, I shall spread the news of their arrogant, unfriendly un-businesslike practices far and wide.
Be wary out there!

I've been using Yandex happily for a couple of years. All of a sudden when I went to log in they demanded a security code and flashed up an old phone number of mine. I no longer have that phone. I tried other methods of proving my identity but these mostly consist of telling them the exact addresses of my last few emails. Without accessing my account I haven't got a clue about the exact addresses and so couldn't provide those. Nor did I have any other email account 'linked' to the Yandex account. The upshot was I had to change my contact email for half a dozen companies and have lost receipts and other important info that were stored in my mail folders. I emailed Yandex with as much info as I had (not much) and never heard back from them. Exact same happened with a Gmail account I once had. Feel like going out and buying writing paper and envelopes. All this security stuff is getting out of hand.

Yandex has been my main email client for many years and in general problem free but suddenly I find I am locked of my account unless I hand over my soul!
I have lost access to important contacts and have no way of retrieving them. I'd advise anyone with an account to back up their data and get out fast otherwise you'll end in the same predicament.
I might not have lost my soul but they most certainly have. I'm off now to find a trustworthy open source mail client and will leave the major players to their inevitable demise.
