They took the money, the goods were not sent. Scammers !!!

NEVER EVER order from YC online!!! I have had the most horrific experience in all of my years of ordering products online. No other experience compares to this. I have spent 7+ hours over the past six weeks trying to get my money back for products that I never received. Their customer service depts rots and each time I call, they tell me that my refund was sent. I had to report them to the BBB and put a claim in with my bank. I then received another email from like the tenth person I have communicated with who told me something entirely different. I am ready to lose it on YC literally. My next step is getting an attorney involved and taking them to small claims court. STAY AWAY!!! Plus, the quality of their candles is not what they used to be. I would not be one bit surprised if they are going under.

Lo store online fa davvero pena. Ho ordinato 6 candele e una è stata cancellata dall'ordine dopo 5 giorni perché non più presente in store (ma sul sito era ancora disponibile). Quando mi arrivano le altre 5, 3 hanno il tappo e 2 no. Essendo dei regali e avendoci speso molti soldi la cosa mi crea non pochi problemi

I have waited over a week for my parcel and it has not arrived. UPS still have it an keep saying they have tried to deliver it when I have been in. They have then said there is something wrong with my address. I called today and yankee candle said that I probably wont receive my parcel because of UPS. Quite disappointed as it was a Christmas present. They have said they are giving me a refund which is good but that should never have had to be even a consideration!

I spent around one week to order your candles and I see that you absolutely not interested in it. I contacted you via Facebook and chat and emails many times. First you said that if I order in US I need to use US cards, I tried to use my US cards but it was not goes through, always it shows that there some mistake, I used 5 different cards of me and my husband, I used different browsers, iPhone and MacBook, also tried to pay with PayPal, even my friend tried to order from her computer with PayPal and credit cards and nothing works and you not helped you absolutely doesn’t matter about your clients.

On Sat 11/27 I ordered two personalized candles for a memorial to send to my daughter. I paid $19.99 for 3 day shipping just to be sure they would arrive in time. On Monday 11/29 I received a email that one of my candles was canceled. I called the number on the email for customer support, after waiting about 10 I got to speak to someone I could hardly understand to ask what happened, the rep did not have any answers besides maybe that scent was out of stock I asked if I could order another scent thru him, he asked to put me on hold to talk to a supervisor. I was on hold for 50 minutes listening to that horrible music, then I was disconnected. So I called back, this time my wait was around 7 minutes again asked what I could to to have the candle sent in time. I was told to order another candle and they would not charge me for the canceled candle. That’s not something I was willing to try again so I asked them to cancel the other candle with the order, was put on hold while she talked to a supervisor was told she could put a order into cancel but it would take 2 or 3 business days, I told her that won’t work for me because I paid extra for 3 day shipping. Then was told I could call back after receiving it to ask for a return number. I know things happen but I did not get any resolution to my order, I will never order from them again.

BEWARE of Opening an Account

To all………….beware of opening an account on Yankee Candle. I innocently opened an account to save a few dollars; however, I learned that it was an enormous mistake. I recently received 23 candles from Yankee Candles. WHY? Apparently somehow, or someone, altered my account requesting 23 candles every twelve weeks. We are retired with a limited income and would never take on a liability of $540.00 every 12 weeks.
I contacted Yankee Candle regarding the return and a refund. After three days I received an email from Alvin. He has not been able to provide a solution. So here I sit in a small home with six boxes of candles in my dining room, which I did not order, and Thanksgiving approaching. I am unable to set a beautiful table for our children and grandchildren because of the boxes.
My credit card payment is due in December, and I have $540.00 I must pay. This situation is impacting our upcoming holidays.
If there is anything that can assist us with this situation, PLEASE let me know.

I have been a customer for years, spent an exorbitant amount of money. That’s fine, because up till the past few years, they (and their products) have been wonderful. I didn’t buy any the last two years, because the last order I did, the melts and votives were faded, dried out/crumbled, and some the oil and color had faded onto the deteriorating plastic wrap. I tried ordering this season. The first few times was the WORST online experience. I ordered about 30 votives. They came tossed all together, as if tossed in the trash, in a crumpled (I think—reused) box. Tape was wrinkled and coming off. Disgusting. Also—That website is so wonky, I have cancelled my order four times over the last few months. Today, I have spent over an hour trying to get the order completed. I finally cancelled the whole order, and that’s it. I’m done. I don’t know who bought this company, but they have succeeded ruining it. Good going. And goodbye, Yankee Candle.

Horrific customer service! Candles were fine but accessories that I'd ordered were of terrible quality and looked nothing like the picture.

Initial delivery was swift but then when I needed to return an item I found that there's no way to do this without emailing or calling the company. I submitted a message and had no useful response which meant that I had to message again then call the company twice.

My calls were answered by employees who struggled to understand what I was saying and who tried to fob me off by saying that . .they'd pass a message to the colleague who was dealing with my case (what case! I simply wanted to return an item!).

I have eventually received a simple returns slip after a week and a half of hassle but I'm not holding out much hope of receiving my refund anytime soon. My experience was so poor that I had to double check that I hadn't been scammed by a spoof website instead of the genuine version.

Your car airfreshner lost It's smell within 2 days at a cost of £4.99 so I complained, now where at the moment we are all being told that we need to lower our carbon footprint so of course I'm told to waste a piece of paper to write my complaint reference number on and then take a picture of it next to your dodgy airfreshner.

Of course I said that It's your refrence number so no I won't be doing that, either give me what I paid for or a refund and was told that they couldn't help me. So I said' that I would be warning future customers', so the above is the warning. Some of your candles have been a problem for a while, we all know that taking sugar out of sugary drinks and choclate messes with the taste, and clearly cutting down on the smell in your candles and airfreshners has an even worse effect.

Utterly incompetent.

Charged me $210 for an order they could not complete, when I tried to get the money back the customer service, both on the phone and via e-mail (yes - I already tried two phone calls and three e-mails), are just beyond belief. Zero ownership and an IDGAF attitude.

EDIT: Nearly a month later they still won't release my money - and zero help from customer support. This is shockingly bad.

Habe bei der 2 Kerze von Yankee Candle wieder nur
Tunnel bildung, sprich sie brennt in der Mitte runter und ein dicker Rand bleibt stehen, obwohl der Docht gekürzt und die Kerze länger als 4 Stunden am Stück gebrannt hat. Absolut enttäuschend, werde keine Kerze dieser Marke mehr kaufen

Die bestellte Ware kommt einfach nicht, diese ist seit über einer Woche angeblich unterwegs. Auf Rückmeldung bzw auf Antwort auf meine Emails warte ich vergebens.
Via Paypal gezahlt habe jetzt Fall eröffnet und hoffe, das ich mein Geld zurück erhalte

Longtime repeat customer of YC. Order placed online 9/25/21. Partial Order arrived damaged. Reported to YC multiple times in multiple ways. Photo provided. No response/action/refund from YC as of now. Following Partial receipt YC emails an item is canceled. Not informed upon fulfillment of partial order. NO service. Beware!

Ripped off approx $85.00 they have 3rd party sellers not directly from Yankee, box arrived with 4 candles,1 candle shattered- box too big, other 2 candles shipping separately, 6 candles 3 shipments-must need too run too store. Fudged dollar amounts between order and shipping How sad!! Want to return, no valid in service phone numbers have to wait 90 days...even sadder!!WILL NEVER PURCHASE AGAIN knowing these parasites work for Yankee Candle!!

I placed an order of nine items, and then 2 were cancelled. That's fine. But I purchased several large jar candles when they were 2 for $50. Since one large jar was cancelled (the other was a small jar), they instead charged me the full amount $29.50 for the other jar since the second jar was cancelled BY THEM. They also didn't tell me this. They also couldn't tell me the actual amount I was charged (subtotal or total charge). How strange is that? Additionally, they charged me the original amount of the order, PLUS the amount of the new order which was less. When I tried calling, I got a busy dial tone. I kept calling only to reach an out of country representative who could hardly understand English and told me it was Yankee's policy to charge the full amount, which is so stupid and unfair to the customer when it is Yankee's fault for selling items not in stock. If I were you, check your bank statement VERY CAREFULLY after buying from Yankee! And don't count of them offering any type of refund for overcharging you. Shame on you, Yankee Candle. Your customer representatives are useless. Get back to your roots where customers come first! This experience left a bad smell and I likely won't be making any additional online purchases.

FRAUD! DO NOT BUY FROM YANKEE CANDLE! They send emails with FAKE promotions and deny every portion of it! The representative, Nicole, was very sweet and I feel bad that she was placed in this position.
I received an email from Yankee Candle at 8:32, on 8.28 that stated it was a BUY1GET 2 FREE. I bought TWO candles expecting that I would get FOUR candles if I bought two. This promotion had no code, ANYWHERE! Under each picture was written in RED, “BUY 2 JAR CANDLES AT THE REGULAR PRICE AND GET 2 FREE.”
I ordered TWO PUMPKIN SPICE CANDLES EXPECTING TO GET TWO FREE. There was no mention of the two free candles in the summary. I then called Yankee Candle to explain the issue I was having. I spoke to a lovely young lady named Nicole. Nicole asked for the promotion and I told her that there was nothing at the top of the page. But, under each picture was a statement in RED indicating each candle featured was, “Buy one get one jar candle free.” NOT SO! According to Nicole, if I wanted 2, I should have ordered FOUR! That point was never mentioned, NEVER! Nicole requested that I be sent the Two candles that were part of the promotion and I thanked her. However, at this point, I had been trying for over an hour to get this thing done! I then informed her that YC should give me the order free of charge and she consulted with her supervisory staff AGAIN and apparently they were TOO AFRAID TO DO THE RIGHT THING. This ENTIRE PROMOTION IS A SCAM! Don’t fall for any YC promotions. They have NO INTEGRITY and do not want the consumer to get any kind of a break. I am going to follow up with a complaint to the FCC. This company needs to be held accountable for lying. I wasted almost TWO HOURS trying to buy a candle! I feel bad for Nicole, get out now and get a reputable job. You can do much better than this!

I placed an order from Yankee Candle on 7/9 and on 7/15 I did a return as I did not need all the items purchased. I was given an email with instructions and had to pay the return shipping back to them. The return address was send to a PO Box. According to my tracking it was delivered on July 19. First phone which in fact was over 45 minutes only to find out that indeed the return address was a PO box and that it would take time for the warehouse to process. Then 2nd, 3rd, 4th and just today my 5th phone call trying to find out the status of my return. All I was told that it was still pending since they had yet to get info from their warehouse. I was even told today that a supervisor would be calling me back today. Well I told the rep that I did not believe I would be getting that call and boy was I correct on that. I was also told on phone call number 4 that it was not necessary to make anymore phone calls to their number. They would contact me through email. Well I've now responded to over 5 emails and have YET to get a response with this method of communication. This transactions is by far the WORST I've ever experienced in my lifetime. I told the rep that if I did not get that phone call from the supervisor, I would be taking measures to get my funds back and that social media would know about this company that does not do their jobs in customer satisfaction. I will never do business with this company and I hate that I can't get back my time spent dealing with this nonsense.

Sebbene io abbia tagliato più volte lo stoppino, la fiamma a contatto con il vetro continua a produrre un fumo nero e denso che oltre a rovinare l'aspetto dell'elegante contenitore di vetro, può essere pericoloso per chi lo respira.
Mi sembra di aver sprecato 33 euro: spero vivamente che sia un difetto di questo singolo prodotto e non un errore di progettazione. In ogni caso, credo che non acquisterò più le loro candele. Ribadisco che il problema è sia estetico sia di salute perché il contenitore, con l'etichetta personalizzata che volevo tenere per ricordo, è stato danneggiato dalla fiamma e il fumo che ne esce riempie la stanza in poco tempo. Perciò mi vedo costretta ad aprire la finestra, infatti non penso sia salutare respirarlo e inoltre rovina le pareti e il mobilio. In più, la conseguenza dell'apertura della finestra è che il profumo della candela non si sente più: l'unica cosa che rimane sono le intermittenti volute di fumo provenienti dallo stoppino. Mi piacerebbe allegare foto e video perché trovo inconcepibile vendere una candela in queste condizioni.
Comunque, ho acceso anche un'altra candela in giara grande, si è consumata quasi metà cera e il bordo alto del contenitore in vetro comincia a scurirsi: temo che anche questa farà la fine della candela personalizzata.

Ordered five ScentPlugs after chatting with Yankee's rep. She told me which ones would be lighter scents, not so heavy. Received email stating they had shipped. Tracking number was bogus. Contacted them FOUR times trying to get a correct tracking number but only got put off. My ScentPlugs finally arrived in a HUGE box with tons of paper filler. Ridiculous and wasteful. Two of the items were leaking all over inside the additional bubble wrap -- the tops had not been tightened. Only 2 of the 5 were lightly scented. The other 3 smelled strong and nothing like their name descriptions. The Coconut Beach smelled like burned coconut cookies. The Pineapple was not recognizable. What lousy products, lousy shipping department and appalling customer service. Will never order from them again and advise others not to waste their money. To top things off, they won't let me leave any reviews on my verified purchases. So what does THAT tell you about the esteemed Yankee Candle Company?
