I was asked to go for job introduction in order to start immediately, all this was than with pressure from the agency, after all this I didn't here any update from them, but rather email me a new job to cover for only two weeks, I was made to believe they discriminate ethnic minorities. The guy who was handling my recruitment was called ADRIAN.

Refuses to answer my emails, so they show lack of respect towards me when they did answer and false claims of threats

Fraudulent email claiming i applied for a job thru them as they refused to answer emails when i asked them what job i applied for

All in all they’re just a no good company who can’t do their job properly

Workchain needs to get some respectable staff at the Peterborough office who can answer emails

So as from today i have blocked all emails from workchain as they’re just a joke agency who’ve shown no respect

The biggest waste of time agency I’ve signed up too. I’ve applied for the same job 3 times now, each time they put it back up because clearly the workers they keep choosing over me, clearly aren’t fit for the job. Not once have I had a call or a message regarding the job when applying, just ignored. Don’t bother signing up unless you want to spend an hour entering details to not be offered any work.

Can't fault them, the management and employees were fantastic, responding almost immediately if I ever had any issues or questions to ask.
Very friendly company who helped me get into full time work.
They never badgered me once (unless I forgot to submit timesheet).
The app is very user friendly and they post some pretty well paid jobs on the board.
I'd happily use this agency again and I've had my fair share of shoddy agencies so these guys were a breath of fresh air for me.

I recently applied for a driving position with this company I live in East Yorkshire so the job would have been perfect for me but since applied they have made nothing but excuses that the transportation management are not there .They promise mon-fri work on the advertising it’s tue-fri and it’s no way near the 600/700 a week wage steer clear of this agency especially the consultant called Robyn she will tell you anything just full of lies as I said DONT WORK FOR THIS AGENCY avoid like the plague.

Worked for this company for two weeks. Was initially told I'd be working for them for three weeks before the company I was subcontracted to took me on.
When I turned up on the first day, the company they'd contracted me to had no idea I was coming. Workchain then asked me to work for the rest of the month. They would call me most days to ask if I was alright to work the rest of the month, the rest of the week, the next day, etc. At one point, someone rang to ask if I would be in the next day and if I knew where the job site was. This was a job I'd already been doing for a week.
After two days in the job that didn't know I was coming, I felt unwell and as the job involved entering care homes I stayed home rather than risk pass on whatever I had. I tested negative for Covid, so I went back the next day and finished the week.
A week later my girlfriend had a cough and took a Covid test, which came back positive. I took one and also got a positive result, so called to ask best practice - what should I do if I felt fit but had a positive Covid test?
Clearly, no protocol was in place and nobody knew. This was, once again, a job that involved the elderly and infirm and I was very wary of passing anything onto them. I got a snotty call from one of the agents telling me I'd already had "a couple of days off" (I'd had one) and that I should have called a out of hours number nobody told me about as soon as I got a positive Covid result. It was implied that I was somehow lapse for not doing this.
To recap: This company never told the job to expect me, never knew when I was there, told me different lengths of contract, didn't tell me what to do in case of sickness, point-blank told me I'd taken more days off than I had, and then implied that I was trying to pull a scam by not giving care home patients a virus.
Oh, and they expect you to fill out your own online timesheets, begging the question of what they're for in the first place if you're meant to do your own paperwork.

I’ve been working with Ethan & Natalie coving the Gloucestershire desk.
I have found them to be polite and communicative in a positive manner.
With my picky requirements for work, they’ve always given positive feedback and work around asking for specific work.
Workchain have an in-house payroll system and not and the dubious hire and fire systems of payroll contractors that other agencies employ.
To date I’ve been paid on time and found their online work-booking system useful.
I recommend Natalie & Ethan and their skills. Natalie is willing to adapt in a pressurised environment and Ethan has the experience to help as well as possible in any situation providing backup when the user companies try to ‘bend the rules’.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. I got hold of Natalie and within 2 days I had a job interview and was accepted by this job on the same day (cant wait to start there) all staff was polite and helpful in whatever questions I needed an answer to. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for work.

Natalie covering the Gloucester desk was the agent who successfully landed me the role of warehouse operative with a very good company which I thoroughly enjoy. Nothing but professionalism and urgency, she was extremely helpful and was always there to assist me if any issues accured. I would most definitely recommend workchain to who ever is looking for fast employment.

This agency is dog shi* 😂 they delaying my pay I had to leave them.

Avoid this "company" . I had the worst experience since I work in uk in last 6 years. The management is extremely dodgy, they don't respect their promises. It's absolutely shocking the way how they make money, getting paid for 8hrs and not 12hrs as "they promise". I will report them to acas, police, unison and I will leave reviews wherever I see advert from this "company" so everyone could see who they are and what they are doing.

Got some work from this sleazy agency and then realise they had lied about the position so the agency recruitment lower on min wage called RyanMoon started giving me cheek over texts. AVOID!

My partner is Toni Smith....I advise everyone to read the google review which has photos of them literally emailing her this morning. They claim she never worked for them....so please explain how she has payslips, emails, etc when she has never worked for you....You should be closed down!

I worked through them twice (for the same company) and so did my partner. I was offered a full time position by the company and got transferred over. Few weeks later my partner was also offered to go permanent and transferred over. Took well over 4 weeks to receive his last payment from them that they owed him. You get paid on a Wednesday but don't rely on it it's always late on in the day and sometimes a day or 2 late. They call everyday to check up on you and when I say every day I mean every day for months. We were underpaid for months and yet charging the company we worked for extra, we was meant to be on £9.90 and yet was only paid £9.50 for months and no offer to give us the money we was owed, During this time they then brought in another temp and they was on £9.70 an hour £0.20 more than us that had been there for months they then after us threatening to quit moved us up to £9.70 but this was meant to already be £9.90 which is what the company thought they were paying us, it took for the company to send a formal email telling them to fix the issue.

When I was took on by the company I was promoted to management and had to deal with workchain (specifically Brandon, Jade, Stewart from the Derby office) they was ringing the staff daily during working hours and disturbing them during work time for absolutely no reason other than to ask them if their in. We made a complaint and they was told to contact myself to ask if all staff are in instead of taking up time of the employees.

My partner was still a temp and when I asked if he could book a holiday off as we was closed for the bank holiday (I arranged this for all staff not just my partner) I was told by Brandon ''yes if you take on another temp'' I then said recruitment is not my job but I'll ask" Literally trying to blackmail me into getting a holiday day that they had all already earned.

Whatever you do don't have a car that breaks down or a family member die they don't care and will bug and bug you to get back into work multiple times a day.

They didn't pay the correct amounts to the workers they should for months and never repaid them what they owed them. They are late with payments very regularly and the are extremely unprofessional. When you leave to go permanent they delay in paying you what they owe you for weeks even with multiple emails texts and calls.

They are very rude when you require a day off and ring you up the day before to see if your still having it off as they need you to work (I wouldn't of booked it 2 weeks ago if I didn't need it).

They don't provide ppe and they literally told me that I could be replaced if I cannot get them. (Even though by law you have to) in the end after showing them the proof that they have to and him telling me it's cheaper for them to just replace the staff with staff that have the ppe (absolutely disgusting)...he finally offered for us to purchase some but only a specific cheap crap pair of boots and that they would process a refund for the following week (in the end we didn't accept this and the company we worked for purchased a £60 pair of boots even though they were not responsible at the time but knew they was taking him on in a few weeks)

Overall this branch Derby and staff Brandon and Jade are extremely rude and should not work in this role. Stewart can be a pain in the butt but he's better than the others however he did message me being rude once when my car tyre got a puncture on the way to work and his response was havnt you just brought a new car...well yes Stewart I have but what has that got to do with a tyre being punctured?...but overall Stewart is the better one at this branch.

My partner was in hospital so I messaged early in the morning to tell them and all I got all day was are you going to be in work and are you going to be in tomorrow I've already told you I won't be in today and if you gave me more than 2 hours at the hospital to find out what's going on then I can tell you if we will be in the next day.

Brandon and Jade should be sacked they are extremely unprofessional and extremely rude.

Myself and my partner will never work for them again and will highly recommend others not to either.

I wish i could give less than 1 star! This company is sleazy, manipulative and damn right rude!
I was with workchain for a number of months, the first job they got me was great and i never had an issue with them!
After the first job however things got a lot more difficult as they were sending me for jobs that were not only 20+ miles away from me (i dont drive) but were very difficult to get too!
When i called them to raise these issues with them, they didn't care, they cared more that i stayed at the job for the full week, even though I literally couldn't afford!
When i made the decision to not go in i had a handler call me up and shout all kinds of obscenities down the phone! Baring in mind my brother had died around a month prior to this and they were more than aware!
Avoid like the plague, their are plenty of agencies about that are miles better than these scummy retched low lives!

Be careful Ryan is a horrible person don’t get covid he will text you saying are you taking the mick

Had very bad experience with them and not only once, if it was only once I wouldn't write here and leave my comments .They made wrong payments for my work and all what they did is their fake promises!!!I didn't receive money what I've been promised on the phone and full hours what I did work for them. Make sure and be carefully with them is all what I can advise for new people who want to work with them.
