Only agency that doesn't pay you what you've accrued. Also will phone you to argue with you when you're ill. Thankfully got a contract with a nicer place soon

Got a job interview through this agency. When I turned up for the interview, the employer didn't know I was coming and wasn't even recruiting. Really disappointed as I had high hopes of getting the job and had spent considerable time preparing. I should have read the reviews before interacting with this agency. Don't waste your time. It's no surprise they have a pitiful score.

Terrible, this company doesn’t care about helping anyone find a job. To save you the hassle you’re better off finding it yourself to be honest. How this company exists I don’t know.

You need to give them a lot of confidential information before accepting a job, no phone number or address about this company. It seems like a scam to steal personal data.

I've worked for workchain plus a million & 1 other agencies in over 30 years of 'working the agencies' starting with Diane at Mayday (Burton) back in 1989! So I think that I am the voice of experience ... Before you slag off an agency, just consider a few things.
(1) agencies must secure staff so they can get the work. The more often that an agency can supply a temp, at very short notice, the more often they will get work offered in advance (holidays, long term sick, increased demand). But every vacancy is subjected to each party over ordering. Its easier to cancel than be honest & risk no cover.
So. You ... the worker .. will tell several agencies you are available. X agency will book you and the client will book the agency to supply ...You. Great. Let's now assume that you are booked from 0500 on Monday .. all week. (Secretly tho', the client wants you from 0630.. for just 1 day)
(2) At 0230, the last trunk rolls in at our clients warehouse and its virtually empty. The client realises he no longer needs you..rings the agency, and cancels you at 0300. Does/Should the agency call you or not?
(3) At 0430, the phone rings again at the agency and its another job ... the agency THEN ring you and apologising profusely tell you there's been a big mistake, could you please go to client B instead? Thank you ..everybody 😊 💓 unwittingly happy.
That's just 1 scenario that's subject to '000s of variables that you never know about ...until it all goes terribly wrong and You lose out.

It's the territory that we as agency workers must accept. You are effectively running your own business and You are the product. Live with that, accept it, and believe me - You WILL get the work.

Workchains reaction to a post in September 2020 where a temp had to have their dog put to sleep? I was so impressed with how Workchain reacted I thought it was worth a mention.

Terrible agency. They dont pay you what was advertised for the job and they dont communicate with the companys, which means you can turn up to site one day to be told there is no work. Rather than workchain call the day before if they knew what was going on, which they rarely know whats going on

Worst agency ever avoid they dont tell you about holiday pay etc so when you ask they say you have lost it ami and jack are useless also sara in payroll

Would never promote them. Useless at giving work. On phone asking if u can work but nothing comes of it. Next step p45 sent as not worked for 8 weeks. Would have had u found work for me...thats what u there for ..northampton branch....

Just another low life agency then, the name is mediocre doesn't seem reputable although I can say my advice stay away from agencies most will hook you up but for their own Benefit especially people like Nathalie

Workchain Walsall, avoid, always conveniently on another line when you ring, only communicate by text and WhatsApp, go back on promises, do not want to get you any work if you have odd days free, worst agency to work for, expect you to work overtime for flat rate.

They will decieve you at every opportunity.They will not pay you properly and swipe wages from you.

WORKCHAIN PAID ME TODAY 28.06.23. SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH WORKCHAIN.
IT TOOK OVER A MONTH DUE TO SOME TECHNICAL ISSUES. BETTER LATE THAN NEVER. RIO.

Takes break pay from you when don't get breaks. Forces opinion on you that's not facts. Really bad company. Oh and they have in contract if you leave you can't join the company you worked for permanently as well. So they force you to stay with them

Cracking agency in fact over the years I have worked for a few agencies. All I can say wish I found these people long time ago.
Looking through the reviews left, alot of 1 stars to me simply don't know or pretend not to know how it works with agencies. No agency will let you or give you work with out all your details especially bank details. If they do then they are cowboys.
Work chain are awesome love working for them.

Applied for job through "Find a job" Then ask me to register, which I didn't mind doing. Only for my Bank details to demanded or registration could not be accepted. Job then bank details is what I've always known, who just gives them out like that?

Got in touch with hours and job too far for me yet in this climate need the extra money so arranged public transport . Chris liased with client a better pay and times for me. Went to interview. Company didn’t have a clue what was said and was a waste of my time and felt like a right idiot. This is why I don’t use agencies. Avoid. Just want to get their commission.

The whorst agency I ever seen,they lie to me about the job, and they soulth to me because I say to them that is not ok for me this job,because have too havey liftings.Verry bad staff work for this agency,they diserve it to make a complaint in the court.
