Wickes - Derby Anmeldelser 

Having purchased a kitchen and had it installed by Wickes this review comes in two parts.
Our design consultant in store was Reece Moore. Although we had some idea of the kitchen we wanted, we were initially in awe of the number of options available to us. Reece however walked us through every step of the design process offering advice and assurances based on his expert knowledge. At no time however did we feel under any pressure or that he was trying to upsell, just sound honest advice. Once finalised he similarly ran us through payment options and again did not point us in any direction, just made things as clear as possible. Overall the process could not have been easier and we cannot Thank him enough.
Moving onto installation, our chosen installer was Sean Parker who we met initially when he made an initial to our house to survey and identify any possible pitfalls and to generally measure up. Instantly he made us feel at ease and took us through step by step what would happen and assured us not to worry about anything. In terms of the installation itself, right from the start Sean got stuck in every day working tirelessly through the hottest of conditions, coordinated other trades seamlessly, and left his work area neat and tidy at the end of each day. After almost 2 weeks of hard work our kitchen was complete, everything was exactly as we had imagined and hoped for, and the standard of workmanship is exemplary. I really get the feeling that it is like he is working on his own kitchen and it has to be done right. I cannot recommend him enough or indeed the Wickes kitchen experience as a whole. Thanks to everyone involved including the Customer Service team who helped resolve one minor issue with the minimum of fuss or disruption.

Had a new bathroom installed in August 2025. The pump is not working now, less than a year later. Wickes says it is under guarantee. Speaking to the pump manufacturers , the pump has been wrongly installed hence the warrantee is void. What a disaster this whole installation has been. Never again !..According to Trust pilot you have contacted me for more information. That is not true. I have not received a call a message nor an email from you.

Having explored several kitchen suppliers making appointments and travelling here and there I literally drifted into Wickes an hour before closing and met Emily, who could not have been more helpful.
The modelling was quick, and the Wickes range had everything I wanted and other little niceties that I purchased. In any case I decided to buy a Wickes kitchen on the back of the encounter. I wanted the delivery in a relatively short time frame, which I was not expecting the date to be achievable but she pulled some strings and the delivery happened as I wanted.
Since then I have made some changes as it was being built and the after sales care has been amazing. I could not be happier. The quality is fantastic, the build has been easy as it is a self build and I experience no issues at all.
I met other members of the design team when I was chopping and changing things and they have all been brilliant and very helpful, I highly recommend Wickes kitchens and the design team.

Fantastic service when choosing a new kitchen. Dmitri was so knowledgeable and friendly and helped us get our new dream kitchen. It’s comforting to know that he will be monitoring the whole process until completion. An excellent experience 😊

I have had the best shopping experience today at Wickes, London Road, Derby, that I have had in ANY retail outlet in a long time. The member of staff who helped me was Ellie. Wow, talk about a girl who is passionate about her job. She is the most polite, helpful, knowledgeable person. You can tell she likes her job and wants to help you. I spoke with Ellie prior to the store visit and I was impressed with her over the phone but after actually meeting her and being served by her today, I was 100% impressed

We had a Kitchen design appointment booked for 12 O'clock midday. Our appointment for starters was 15 minutes late (we arrived at 11:50 and were hovering around the designers until one of them asked if we had an appointment, we were then told to "look around" until our designer finally became free).

From the offset our designer seemed standoffish. We had an idea of what we wanted but our designer was keen to continuously remind us of our budget. It seemed to us that he was trying to put us off. At one point he shouted at us that "we don't know what we want" when all we did was ask to change the gas cooker from a 4 ring to a 5 ring.

It was clear that this designer was not customer centric and just wanted to leave for the day. He asked us to book a follow up 2 hour meeting where he could go into things with us in more depth. With all other kitchen providers, a one hour meeting has been sufficient.

Regardless of his intentions, we were made to feel unwelcome, and we will not be using Wickes for our kitchen.

Really appreciate the help yesterday from both members of staff. Both had use the paint I was after and helped me to choose the best paint

Fantastic staff here, they stayed open a few minutes later because I’ve got my trolley half loaded with the tile!
I was struggling and the Lady even showed me up lifting two bags of tile adhesive, when I was only lifting one.

Our design consultant Emily Cassidy at the Derby store was very helpful from start to finish with our new bathroom. From design suggestions, to helping with changes and with aftercare, once the installation had been completed and we had a couple of outstanding queries with the installer that we were struggling to get hold of. Emily helped us straight away.

We have found that speaking directly with our design consultant has been far easier than the customer experience centre which are very hard to get hold of.
Once I have spoken to them, they have been polite and helpful.

I would recommend Derby Wickes and Emily for bathroom installation support.

I recently had my kitchen installed and was really pleased with the whole experience. Reece talked me through the whole process and ensured that it went smoothly throughout.

Sean was very polite and friendly, and consistently professional throughout the job, kept things tidy and made sure I was happy with everything.

Both were patient, helpful, respectful of my home and provided excellent communication throughout the service.

Reece was very helpful with the design of our bathroom.
Dan fitted the bathroom and worked very hard along with Lucas joining him to help for a couple of days.
Lee the electrician also did a brilliant job.
All were very friendly and efficient, Dan especially went above and beyond to complete the job.

Reece Moore and Michael James have been brilliant from beginning to end in the planning of my new kithen, to the fitting and completion. Nothing was too much trouble, they talked me though everything and gave options when needed.
They were both just at the end of the phone, if I had any questions.
I would highly recommend both Reece and Michael if you a planning a new kitchen.

We honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we met him, he was friendly, approachable, and put us completely at ease. Designing a new bathroom can feel overwhelming with so many choices, but he made the whole process enjoyable and stress-free.

He took the time to really listen to what we wanted and came up with lots of different ideas and options that we hadn't even considered. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and he was always happy to answer our questions and talk through different possibilities.

What we appreciated most was that he never came across as a pushy salesman. There was absolutely no pressure to make decisions, and we genuinely felt that he wanted us to end up with the perfect bathroom rather than just make a sale. His patience, attention to detail, and sense of humour made the whole experience a pleasure.

We're so grateful for all his help and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who is knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely cares about his customers.
