I had my XC90 picked up by Harry, he contacted me the night before my pickup to give a timeframe for his arrival, I let him know that I had a school run, so he offered to come earlier to pickup my car. He was at my house at 8 am (said he would previously be there between 8 and 8:30) Harry went above and beyond to make sure the timings suited me rather than him. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would do it without a second thought. I am always indebted to Harry for his amazing work.
The most recent service and health check in April 2026 by the previous owner has identified splitted tyre and rear pads/discs being over 75% worn and recommended for immediate replacement. The same tyre and brakes were kept on the vehicle. I have insisted for the dealership to their immediate attention and no actions were taken despite multiple emails and in person conversations. I raised this on the day of collection of the vehicle, although they are unwilling to discuss on email where records could be kept and tracked, and insisted on phone calls. Understand tyre treads are sufficient, however the condition of the sidewalls and the general tyres themselves are not. I will not know when the splitted tyre will give in and explode. I have also mentioned about the scored brake discs and advised them on replacement as these catches fingers, however this was also dismissed. I have questions on whether all the appropriate approved used car checks have even taken place and what is the worth of previous health checks if these are not fixed proactively? Their fix on alloy scruff is a simple Black sharpie job so lower your expectations if you are anticipating for a full alloy refurb.

Communication throughout the process was excellent, with regular updates provided and any queries answered promptly. The delivery itself was smooth and hassle-free, and the vehicle arrived exactly as expected.

Jon Green was extremely helpful from minute one! Listening to our summary of what we wanted from our Volvo. He went through several examples on site and matched our requirements with another car in the group. This would take a while to arrive on site, no problem for Jon and Waylands of for us. The new mild hybrid cars are complex and need a little explanation as to how it all works! This will be our 5th Volvo. When we were happy we placed the order and after a test drive all was in place to collect our car s few days later.

Brilliant service from start to finish from our initial enquiry to the handing over of the car we were looked after by Richard Brunnock who was brilliant throughout, when Richard was not available we were helped by John who was also very helpful and professional, another nice touch was prior to and during completion the manager was very engaging also which is something we have not experienced before, thank you Waylands and especially thank you Richard.

Very poor. I went to test drive a Volvo XC90 drive half an hour to see it only to find out the MOT ran out 3 months ago and so I couldn’t drive it. The salesman and sales manager couldn’t have been less helpful. I wouldn’t go back to Waylands. Fortunately other dealers are available.

I recently purchased a used Volvo XC40 plug-in hybrid from Waylands in Reading, and Jed was an outstanding salesperson. I was looking for a very specific specification, and he managed to source exactly the model I needed.
He was not pushy at all, but rather helped and guided me through the entire buying process. He has also been incredibly supportive with follow-up assistance, offering continued guidance should I have any questions. Waylands must be delighted with the level of service he gives their customers, as he is clearly a massive asset to their business. Highly recommended!
