Me again. One case was sorted but because of V12 involvement. Continued this case, as there was many faults I still have no answer. You confirmed which email to send and since then, you have ignored 5 emails! Not even one response! Your customer service is beyond awful, ridiculous! Your service is worth minus 100 as there is no service! You sell this rubbish warranty and then you don't give a 💩 ! The most awful company I have ever dealt with
Please avoid! You will have to pay for the work anyway So pointless to buy anything from them Pointless! And! If- warranty 2000 - you add any comment here but ignore my email I will share this here as I am going to gather as many evidences as possible to support my court case! I wish to tell you what I'm thinking about you, but can't find any website-appropriate language

My car was taken to one of Warranties 2000's approved garages on the morning of 8th June. By lunchtime the same day, the garage had diagnosed the fault and attempted to submit the claim to Warranties 2000, who handle claims on behalf of my Cover warranty.

After hearing nothing for several days, I contacted Warranties 2000 and was told they hadn't received the claim. When I spoke to the garage, they confirmed the claim had definitely been submitted and that they had even spoken to Warranties 2000 about it. After further back-and-forth, the garage was eventually told that Warranties 2000 had been experiencing issues and the claim hadn't even made it into their queue until the Friday.

The following Monday I chased multiple times throughout the day and was repeatedly told there was no update. Later that afternoon I was informed they needed additional documents before they could proceed, despite being told that note had been placed on the file the previous Friday. I immediately supplied the documents, waited two more days, and called again, only to be told they couldn't find them. After some searching, the representative suddenly "found" them and assured me the claim should be reviewed by the end of that day.

When I called back after 5pm, I was told nobody had looked at it. One member of staff kindly said she would add it to her workload and review it the following morning. Fast forward to today, nearly two weeks after the car first entered the garage, and I still have no decision. I spent 30 minutes on hold only to reach someone who said they were merely helping out and could only take a message.

Meanwhile, I've been left without my main transport, paying for taxis and other additional expenses while waiting for a decision that should have been made long ago. The delays, poor communication, and apparent lack of urgency have been extremely frustrating.

I can't fault the staff themselves, who have all been polite and pleasant to deal with. However, not one person has apologised for the repeated delays, which suggests this level of service may simply be considered normal.

Based on my experience, the claims process is slow, disorganised, and leaves customers bearing the cost and inconvenience while waiting endlessly for progress.

At this time, I still don't have my car back and no sign of when or if Approval will be made so I can get it back!

Don't deserve the 1 star.

This company are atrocious and will make up any excuse for not paying out the warranty when making a claim.
For clarity I have pasted in an extract of my warranty I had with them as per the below:-

PLATINUM PLUS MEMBERSHIP

The following components are covered against Mechanical Breakdown (as defined elsewhere
in this document) of those items listed below.
Please note any parts not listed are specifically excluded.

Engine – All components contained within the cylinder block and head including pistons, rings, crankshaft,
big end bearings, manifolds, rocker assembly, timing chains, timing gears, distributor drive.
Excluding Dual Mass Flywheel.

Turbo Unit - All components including inlet and exhaust turbine shafts, bearings, bushes, wastegate
devices.
Turbo cover ceases at 7 years or 80,000 miles whichever comes sooner.

Gearbox – All components contained within either manual or automatic transmissions including gears,
bearings, clutches.

Clutch – All components including clutch plate, clutch cover, thrust bearing and or release bearing.
Limited to one clutch repair during the warranty duration.

Differential – All components including gears, pinions, bearings, shafts.

Drive Shafts – All components including propshaft, drive shafts, C.V. joints, couplings.

Steering – All components on steering systems including power steering units, rams, pumps, reservoirs, steering box.

Propshafts – Propshaft including universal joints and bearings.

Suspension – All components including control arms, bushings, ball joints, pins.

Bearings – All components including wheel bearings, seals, hubs, flanges, where mechanical breakdown has
occurred causing sudden stoppage of their function.

Cooling System – All components including radiator (excluding external damage), matrix, water pump, head gasket, thermostat.

Ventilation - All components including heater assembly vents, tubes, controls.

E.C.U. – All components including solid state control units, triggering units, distributor, coil.

Electrics – All components including motors, solenoids, relays, alternator, starter motor, switches, computers.

Braking System – All components excluding brake discs and brake pads.

Fuel System – All components including fuel pump, carburettor, sender units, gauges, air flow meters, accumulator fuel distributor, regulators.

In my case our car needed to have a timing chain replaced as it had had become stretched.
The garage put down the cause of the fault as being the pulley tensioner which is part of the timing tensioner assembly.

A timing chain, its tensioner, and the associated guides operate together as a single synchronized assembly. If a faulty tensioner causes the chain to slacken, stretch, or jump, the chain suffers consequential damage, and the two cannot reasonably be separated for a repair.

Under my Warranty as per above in the Engine section it lists the following;

"Engine – All components contained within the cylinder block and head including pistons, rings, crankshaft,
big end bearings, manifolds, rocker assembly, timing chains, timing gears, distributor drive.
Excluding Dual Mass Flywheel."

Now if you see the response email from advisor at Warranties 2000 was as per below:-

Good morning,

We have started the claim.

We do, however, require the cause of failure for the NOx sensor.
Please can you ask the garage whether they have identified the cause of failure for this part.

Unfortunately, the timing belt and pulley are not listed components and are not covered under your policy.

After receiving email from them we called them and they said the pulley system tensioner and the timing chain are separate systems and as such they wouldn't be paying out for timing chains as it's not covered.

We are having to go down the route of their official internal complaints procedure to resolve this, but so far they are not playing ball on this.
Seriously avoid this company at all costs.
This review will be one of many against this company I will be making until they pay out as per the warranty.

After taking out gold plus cover. Had the car 2 months when the engine light came on. Tried to get local garages to do warranty work but none would touch it as they never get paid or have to chase for payment. Got in touch and was told we could pay and claim back which we did £1600 later claim went in. Was told the works were not covered after telling Warranties2000 the problem and them telling us that it was covered. 3 weeks later engine light came on again which this time was heat pump and plugs. Again told that this was not covered. I will never ever again take a warranty out on a used car.

I spoke with Claire and she dealt with the call quickly and efficiently

Its beyond a joke now, my claim for a washer pump.was authorised on the 8th April 2026. The garage sent the invoice for payment of the claim the next day.
Since then I have being calling near enough every week with an update to when the garage can expect payment.
I have been told its a problem from.the finance company to the garage has not sent an invoice.
So I email them a copy of the invoice which was sent to someone called Daniel the 22nd of May.
Again I was told they garage can expect payment within 1-2 days guess what!! we are still waiting. I have loss count the amount of times I've called.
Its beyond ridiculous and I shall be considering legal action to get my money back and will also be sending a complaint to the ombudsman.

This company are absolute con artists they are more than happy to take your money but refuse to pay out when you try to make a claim although the engine is covered they say the timing belt which is in the engine is not covered or any of the damage that failure has caused stay will clear

The terrible online reviews are completely accurate, this company will find any excuse to avoid helping you. I have already decided not to renew the warranty on my second car, and I will absolutely not be renewing this one either. Do not waste your money here. They are quick to take your money but useless when you actually need them.
