Booked in to view a car. Booked the day off work, drove over an hour to go and view/test drive and hopefully buy said car just to turn up and find out it was sold the previous day. No communication from the salesman who had all of my details when booking.
The general attitude towards the experience was extremely unprofessional with words to the effect of "Yep, sorry, that was sold yesterday. Wasn't here to tell you and no, we haven't got anything else similar".
The apology wasn't genuine in the slightest and there was no sort of communication to try and make me stay to take a look at the other cars available.
They clearly don't want, nor like their job, and they're definitely not out to sell you a car like I thought Mr Vosper himself would hope for in a Salesman..
Gutted and annoyed is putting it politely - if this is the treatment before buying a car from them, I dread to think what it's like when they've taken your money.
Extremely disappointed, what a waste of time.
This is a review for the user car centre at Marsh Mills in Plymouth and the Salesman was called Andy.

We received an excellent service when purchasing our Seat Arona from Kieran. He carried out the whole process in a seamless and very professional manner, for which we were so grateful. Kieran carried out our transaction (including the part exchange) in a couple of hours so that we could drive away the same day with our new car, which saved us two journeys.

From the beginning of the purchase of my car, both my son and myself were liaising with Alex Bartlett. He come across as an exceptional human being and a cleaver sales person. His attitude and behaviour towards the customers were exceptionally high and trustworthy. within a short space of time, were able to trust him fully and went ahead with our purchase. We felt that all the staff were really helpful without being pushy, but particular thanks to Josh. We felt he was really helpful and informative about the car and struck a good balance of being interested in selling it to us without being pushy. We were looking at a second car for our family that was at the £10k end rather than £30k end but felt we got the same level of attention and care (which was definitely not our experience at another local dealer).
I like the fact that Josh has followed up how things are going after I bought the car, and that he has been helpful in answering my questions.

A great experience. We came in for one car and walked out with two! Josh was very helpful, and most importantly not pushy. Despite being pressed for time he encouraged us to take the second car for a test and then completed the sale without pressure. This could so easily have been a five star reviews with pats on the back for the brilliant reception staff and lots of goodwill earnt and a review upholding Vospers reputation instead I feel ripped off and taken for a ride by a big company. My engine management light came on a while back and after waiting a few weeks took it to Vospers. I agreed to a £168 diagnostic charge. They did a diagnosis, did a software update and said the van was repaired. Three weeks later the light came on again and to give them credit Lianne arranged same day drop off. At a second attempt they diagnosed a clogged inlet manifold, engine out and a £3500 bill on a 2.5 year old van. Not their fault but I decided to take it to a local garage who quoted £850 for the same work.
What has upset me is that they charged me another £168 for a second diagnostic. They obviously failed to diagnose the problem first time and did it properly at a second attempt. It appears trial and error at the customers expense is how they diagnose and repair vans. The expense to me was considerable as I had to drive the van from mid Devon and hire a car to get back. Twice. How can they charge for an incorrect diagnosis and then charge you again due to their inability to get it right first time. A software issue is quite different to inoperative/clogged inlet valves. Toby who I spoke to kept going on about "the process" and some internal repair bulletins or something. Not my problem, not interested. Don't charge me twice to diagnose one problem. Having spoken to Devon and Somerset trading standards I am
Going to claim the hire vehicle costs, travel time, fuel and the cost of the second diagnosis via small claims court. A little goodwill would have gone a long way. Especially as they had already been paid once for the diagnosis.

I agree, dont jump to the most expensive repair but at least diagnose the issue properly first time. The service manager told me after the second visit their readings suggested a dirty/malfunctioning manifold, why coud they not diagnose this the first time, as I said trial and error diagnosis at the cost of the customer. I'm glad my GP doesnt work on the same basis,

John May made the whole process incredibly easy, excellent communication throughout, went through our options for a good choice of van ready for a campervan conversion. Very pleased with our purchase, even though the van is a couple of years old it looks as new. Would highly recommend Vospers Truro.

I've used Torquay Peugeot for years, but must share that Rob in servicing is fantastic to work with. Clear communication from the start, and no question is a stupid question. Timelines are always kept to, and have every confidence when I have work or servicing done by vospers.
