Lately I've seen that Vidlii is in many, many technical difficulties almost all the time, and I think it may be because of the type of page it became (since the page became nopor and gore for a large part in 2023), currently since the end of 2023, the page stopped being accessible most of the time and now it is only a page that can temporarily be entered for up to 30 minutes.

If vidlii warns you for the page to close, download as many videos as possible to re-upload them to other platforms (mainly youtube if it does not affect the videos on that page)

If vidlii manages to establish a new moderation (which that seems impossible at first glance) maybe Vidlii will work again all the time.

Page 1 I have seen the n-word, and on the front page I've seen uncensored gore thumbnails, and there is also child porn.
On December 5th, I am permanently leaving that site. Even TikTok is better than VidLii.

There is so much messed up crap on vidlii like, live videos of suicide, videos mocking people who commit suicide, neo nazis supporting hitler, everyone saying the hard r, etc. Honestly, the website creator should be sued tbh, or be forced to take down the website, bitview is way more moderated and way better than vidlii, use that instead.

Sigo subiendo mi contenido personal a esa página sin embargo al subir videos de alta calidad la página tarda días en subirlos, por su parte la comunidad hispana e inglesa son horribles: por un lado están todos los niños que se creen loquenderos y trolls del 2008 y los usuarios en inglés son puros adolescentes que se creen neonazis y edgys basados patéticos ambos.

Yo le tenia mucho cariño a la pagina, sinceramente, hay gente que sube videos sin sentido alguno, pero eso no es lo peor, tambien de vez en cuando hay pendejos publicando gore o miembros viriles, hasta vi un video donde se mencionaba que se subio CP (con pruebas), el gore no lo borran de la pagina, ya con solo buscarlo, te salen hasta recopilaciones.
Otra queja que tengo, es que los servidores siempre se caen casi siempre.

Si la pagina tuviera moderacion, seria mejor, por lo menos borran todo lo relacionado con el porno...

Well, Well, VidLii.
For the most part, the website is a fun and unique idea, a video sharing website that mimicks the style of old YouTube. However, there are far more cons than pros.
Now, the main downside is the amount of "edgy", controversial and downright disgusting content on the site. For the very few creators that upload clean(er) memes and innocent videos, there is a huge library of disgusting content. The majority of which is a plethera of racist, sexist, anti-semitic, homophobic etc. videos and "memes." It's disgusting that lots of these videos are featured on a site and even get pushed and not taken down.
The moderation is horrible, and no video that deserves to be taken down is, and this just shows what kind of audience VidLii mainly attracts, edgy 13 year olds that want to make controversial memes.
The final negative i'll cover is that the report option offers 4 options of a report. These are sexual content, spam, misleading and animal abuse. While I greatly appreciate that there's an option to report animal abuse, as sites like YouTube have been incredibly unbothered by content like that very often, including many incredibly controversial videos of that sort that YouTube took sometimes a whole year to take them down. Nevertheless, the absent options to report for hate speech, bullying or harassment just comes to show that the website doesn't care much at all.
Oh, and the amount of copyrighted content that exists on the site, but I suppose that it's a given that people would do this.
Despite the toxic YouTube clone's community, I do have to applaud the amount of customizability you have for your channel, on that front it is definitely a step up from various other platforms. The best I can compare the customizability of the channels are to that of Discord Nitro profiles, but even then that's understating it.
In all, the website is full of edgy and controversial content that in most cases is just downright disgusting. I would not recommend you to visit the website. There are a few hidden gems, such as long play gaming videos if you're into that kind of content, and I suppose with the small community being active, and you wish to use gameplay footage for a project, some of these uploaders would probably respond quite quickly. In all though, it's a crap website.

La página es buena, como toda comunidad, nunca puede faltar su comunidad tóxica así que no se quejen que todas las comunidades tienen su lado tóxico incluso hasta una comunidad de mayores de 30 años. La libertad de expresión es muy buena, casi nunca te van a tumbar un vídeo, puedes personalizar tu página pero lo que a mí me molesta es que se cae mucho la página, siempre no funcionan el link, se caen mucho los servidores. Solucionen eso, después todo está bien

Su comunidad dejo de ser toxica, y volvio a sus viejas epocas doradas, y técnicamente a mejorado mucho pero posee terribles fallos técnicos. Como ya no es toxicas una minoría loquendera la odia porque ya no es mas un sitio toxico ahora es normal y estable

VidLii is superior to YouTube. Here is my half-biased review of the platform.

VidLii has both entertaining and edgy content which puts YouTube to shame with its constant stream of repetitive, and unfunny jokes.
Unlike YouTube, VidLii won't age restrict you for making a video too loud, or swearing. You aren't censored. Your content will always appear on the front page at some point, no matter how many subscribers you have.

VidLii is like 2006 YouTube, so you are able to slightly customize the homepage using modules and themes, and completely change your channel layout. By "completely change", I mean "completely change". You can change the background, the color, the text color, the link color, you can add or remove modules, create playlists, and so much more. There are 8 different color settings on your channel page to play with. You can also make your entire channel private, that's right, your entire channel. What's that? You don't want your channel to look like it's from 2006? Well, you can change between 3 different layouts. Channel 1.0 is the layout from 2006-2009, Channel 2.0 is the layout from 2009-2012, and Cosmic Panda is the layout from 2012 to 2013. I wouldn't be surprised if they add support for the 2015 layout at some point this, or next year. I would personally recommend Channel 1.0 because it's the most customizable.

However, one of the problems that I've seen is the racist content. Since VidLii is promoting free speech, they won't do anything about it because it's technically not illegal.

In conclusion, VidLii is way better than YouTube for its customizability, user experience, and entertainment. The only thing I would suggest is a recommended module for the home page so you can view videos from the people you're subscribed to and videos that you're interested in. Don't remove the "Most Popular" module though.

When I first heard about this website, I was so excited and considered posting on there. But when I first actually visited the website, literally the first thing I saw was a KKK mask, racial slurs and a swastika, foreshadowing the complete state of the site. Just hatred everywhere...

What a shame as I loved the website layout and how the website brought back the nostalgia of old YouTube. Please weed out all the edgy teenagers and basement dwelling adults who have no life and post hateful content to mask their insecurities and gain validation. Then I'll really enjoy using this site.

For now... I suggest sticking to YouTube. ;)
