We took a 10-day Great Lakes cruise and it was the best cruise experience ever. Everything was excellent - the people, the food, the boat, the entertainment, and the places and experiences. Victory Cruise Lines is an awesome small company and you can feel their commitment and pride.

My first time with Victory Cruise line and it exceeded my expectations. The staff was awesome. Irene kept our cabin impeccable and was always there to answer any question we had, and we enjoyed our nightly piece of candy.
Maria in the dining room was so sweet. Could not have asked for anyone better. She made sure we had everything we wanted to eat and more. We never left hungry!
Sarah was our favorite wine pourer! I called her our “little drink pusher” 😂. Whether we wanted something alcohol or just a glass of water she always served us with a smile. In fact, she was always smiling. She quickly knew our favorite drinks and we never had to look for her…she never let our wine glasses get empty.
Madeline was great organizing all the excursions and making sure we all got in the right busses. She was great at her job and helped when we needed to change one of our excursions to a different time.
All staff members on the ship were great. I can’t remember names of them all but they all were professional and great at their jobs.
The highlight of the trip was being invited to join the Captain and 3 others for the farewell dinner. It was a big surprise and an honor to be selected. The conversation was great and there was much laughter….oh, and the food great, as it was for the entire trip. I never left the dining room hungry!
Looking forward to traveling with Victory Cruise Lines again in the future.

Very well organized and interesting shore excursions.
Excellent snacks and beverages always available.

The dining room staff took excellent care of us, especially my don who has good allergies.

I would give more than five stars, if there was that option. We were welcomed at the beginning of the cruise and given the necessary information to handle luggage, and after boarding, the crew was on hand to help us every step of the way and treated us like royalty. The tours were interesting and well planned, there was always something to do and the cruising on the lake between destinations was so calm, we barely knew the ship was moving. I am officially spoiled now.

We did Victory II from Toronto to Chicago. Staff and food was great. WiFi was terrible. Excursions were good EXCEPT the optional picnic to Sherman Park. This was not worth $139. Once we got there and got our lunch, there wasn’t anything to do except look at the water and walk around the park, and we were there for 3 hours. I wished you were able to stream the nightly entertainment in our room like on Viking. Otherwise , we enjoyed our cruise and you will too. I highly recommend this cruise.

From the moment we stepped on the Victory 1, we felt welcome. Enrique who was in charge of our cabin was right there with a big smile and a helping hand. Even the smallest request was granted. As we moved to the Lounge and the Restaurants the waitstaff made us feel like family…the always smiling Sarah, quick with a joke Tyrone, and Swapnil with his impeccable manners and great suggestions. The entire staff serenaded us for our anniversary! The level of care we received from the entire crew could never be matched by those ginormous cruise ships. Sail on Victory!

This was a great itinerary and the excursions were all terrific. The staff was very attentive to our needs. I broke my glasses during our visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I thought I would have a rough time of it. My wife took the glasses to the pursers desk and 20 minutes the handyman had returned the glasses fixed as good as new. We also had nice dinners with friendly people.

The cruise was wonderful and I gave feedback before leaving the ship. Being pestered for more is rather annoying.

The friendly and helpful people working on the ship, from our servers in the dining room (Jack), the wonderful bartenders, the people at the desk, the cruise director, and the Lakelorian(Will)and cabin cleaner who always was pleasant (Louie) all made our trip!! The excursions were fun! The bus drivers were great, too!

The staff were amazing, and our cabin steward went above and beyond. The food was excellent and plentiful, and there was an open bar. The ship traveled through the night, and we would awaken in a new town. The lakes were clean, smooth and impressively attractive. We learned a lot about their importance to the US and Canada.

personal attention from the all the staff , especially Sabrina who went out of her way to accomodate evryones special needs. she was by far the most valuable in great customer service!

From the first hello to the last good bye there was not one frown, not one negative encounter and not one complaint of any kind.
But there were a million smiles, the greatest staff from around the world, and the tastiest food you could hope for.
Thank you to all the wonderful people who work on the Victory II. You know how to make your guests relax and enjoy their vacation.

From our initial contact with Victory Cruise lines to our disembarking from our cruise to all 5 Great Lakes, we enjoyed the interaction with all those associated with the cruise lines. What you promised, we experienced- enjoyable excursions, good food, good service, wonderful staff, really good entertainment, informative lectures, found a very good book on the history of the Great Lakes in the library. When a problem arose, it was dealt with professionally and to our satisfaction, in fact exceeding our expectation. You said one price. You delivered. When we wanted more, you delivered. Laundry service, on sale say, was exceptional- clothes back the same day. Sara and Nancy from the Philippines, Irene in housekeeping, a man from the Grill from India- tall and lean, were above and beyonnd in service and persdonal attention.

The crew were the best.They treated us like family.Tyronne and Sarah were exceptional.

CABINS - Small but adequate. Comfortable beds. Plenty of closet space and hangers (we gave our room steward the robes to allow for more space). First 2 nights were VERY LOUD - especially going through the Welland Canal Locks. I recommend midship cabins (we were in #346, which was convenient for getting to the Grill using the back stair case).

FOOD - Most meals seemed to be low-no salt, bland. Some meals were outstanding. Wait staff was excellent.

SERVICE - Exceptional!

ENTERTAINMENT - The 3 piece band and soloist (James, Noah, Drummer sorry I forgot his name, Michaellynne) were AMAZING. Lots of dancing happening - couples and solos.

EXCURSIONS and PORTS OF CALL - Need more time and more options to get earlier bus and then later return - Niagara Falls, Rock n Roll, Ford, Mackinac Island. No clue why we spent a day in Escanaba. And also no clue why so much time was set aside for the Pabst Mansion (it was so musty inside that I couldn’t stay so I ended up “walking the street” - there was nothing in the area to do or see.

DOWN TIME - It would have been nice if there were onboard organized daytime activities such as yoga, stretching, etc. And suggested places to walk / Uber / public transportation with good maps and points of interest.

ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR - She should have been able to go on ALL excursions at least once before taking over this position. And she should know more about the cities and where we are docking (see above suggestion). Her evening talks were rather monotone.

CRUISE DIRECTOR - She was really good and definitely knows her stuff.

LAKE SUPERIOR, LOCKS, NORTHERN LIGHTS - There should be a sign up option to receive an in room phone call when the ship is going through Lake Superior and Locks and should Northern Lights be spotted. Except for emergencies they do not make announcements after I believe 10:00 pm.

FYI re CHICAGO - Why did it take me a few phone calls to learn that I can leave my luggage at Sable Hotel (end of Navy Pier) for free? It was a rather easy walk (assuming your luggage has good wheels). Even the onboard staff did not know this (and my guess is that the hosting hotel in Toronto would do the same).

Helpful staff. Good food. Lovely tours. Drinks and everything included.

Enjoyed our trip to the Great Lakes. Super staff, the food was terrific and everyone really seemed to be engaged in helping us to have a great time.

It was a wonderful experience, that far exceeded my expectations! The staff was very friendly, the service was superb, food was high class. Every detail was planned to make us feel special, and we did! The only problem, was to go back to real life after being pampered so much.
