Please do yourself a favour and avoid this company they use 3rd party accommodation providers and do not communicate with them my booking was cancelled minutes before my check in time and I was left stranded with nowhere to stay with my family in an area which is very popular and most placed are fully booked I had to spend a lot of time and money to accommodate me and my family and the best Travelstaytion could do is apologise and refund me If I was you I would book with another company who have the facility to organise alternative accommodation in situations like this please avoid booking with this company to save yourself the nightmare me and my family where put through.

I found out that nearly 25% of the price for my holiday accommodation was taken by TravelStaytion as "commission". I contacted them to ask exactly what the extra money was for and they replied to tell me it was simply their commission. They offer no value for this money, they are simply acting as a middle man, with their hand out for your money. I urge you not to use them and book direct.

Update: TravelStaytion has replied to this review by stating that this is standard practice in the industry. They also point out that the 25% commission isn't all theirs, but made up from multiple providers. I have no doubt that this is standard practice, and that is the point. TravelStaytion have pointed out that there are circumstances where there is indeed many middlemen, all with their hand out wanting your money, offering no real value for it. None of us should be surprised by this of course. The lesson is to always attempt to find the route to book direct. A feat becoming more and more difficult over time.

I had to cancel a €3,000+ trip due to the war in Israel. TravelStaytion (on behalf of Theros Villa) told us in writing that if we canceled, we would receive a full-value voucher valid through October 31, 2025.

We followed their instructions, canceled, and even received written confirmation from Booking.com that the voucher was active. But after all that, the property is now telling us that they won’t provide the voucher anymore because “flights have resumed” — even though our cancellation happened before any commercial flights were reliably operating from Israel.

We’ve made multiple international phone calls to Booking.com — over 20 minutes each — with no resolution and unnecessary charges.

We no longer want to stay at this property due to the way this has been handled, but we are asking for what was clearly promised in writing. This experience has caused emotional and financial stress — during wartime.

We are still waiting for Booking.com and TravelStaytion to take responsibility and honor what they confirmed.

Update (July 2025): The company’s reply below is inaccurate. We never declined the voucher - we followed their instructions exactly. Also, we were never offered the “long” voucher terms they now reference.

After ongoing delays, miscommunication, and what felt like attempts to avoid honoring their original promise, they eventually agreed to resolve the issue. We were able to close it directly with them over the phone, outside of Booking.com, only after escalating via this review.

As of now, we are still waiting for their written confirmation of the new booking (made last Friday), and we hope that will be sent soon.

In all my years of traveling, I’ve never had a vacation stay in a more roomy, clean, feature-filled and welcoming place! The staff that made my stay a success was equally impressive. Courteous, attentive, thorough, thoughtful and CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERSTARS! They now have a customer for LIFE.

The accommodation was perfect for three people and close to everything. The host was amazing and extremely helpful and we would see her more as a friend than as a host. The tips she gave for locations, food, etc were all spot on. Martina Franca is a hidden gem and is close to places like Locorotondo and Alberobello. You can go by bus/train to these locations and enjoy your time, not just in Martina Franca. Great location and a host that is rare to find. What more is there.

Great spacious apartment, good amenities

Great place in a great location! The grounds are beautiful with all of the flowers. Walking distance to some good places to eat. Only thing missing is A/C.

We loved the location and the people were so kind. The property manager arranged transfers and a car rental for us and everything worked out well. Our late and very early travel times were accommodated. The house was huge and had many ammenities. The house was clean and had beautiful plates and cookware in the kitchen. The owners greeted us and showed us the property. We loved our time at the Dune House in Alcamo Marina. The beach was fabulous and the cafes and bars in the area were nice. Having a starter kit of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a lemon or two- along with the water bottle -that was much appreciated- would be nice. We had a bit of an issue with hot water and the owners addressed the issue right away. Hopefully it will be resolved. We would love to come back to the Dune House!

The townhouse was in a lovely location and very clean. Lots of hiking trails close to the house, and the area was very quiet. The Check in process very smooth and easy

NO PAGAN A LOS PROPIETARIOS!!

Tenemos 100 pisos publicados con ellos y no nos pagan desde abril 2024 y el pago de 2024 fue porque insistimos y presionamos eran reservas del 2023 incluso.

Desde entonces no hemos recibido ningun pago! Alegan un error tecnico pero es MENTIRA, desde hace 1 año no lo solucionan? Son decenas de los afectados podeis verlo en otros comentarios, NO RESERVEIS PORQUE EL PROPIETARIO PUEDE NO ACEPTAR LA RESERVA DEBIDO A QUE NO PAGAN.

THEY DON'T PAY THE OWNERS!!

We have 100 apartments listed with them, and they haven't paid us since 2024. The 2024 payment was due to our insistence and pressure.

Since then, we haven't received any payment! They claim a technical error, but it's a LIE. They haven't fixed it for a year? Dozens of people have been affected, as you can see in other comments. DO NOT BOOK BECAUSE THE OWNER MAY NOT ACCEPT THE RESERVATION BECAUSE THEY DON'T PAY.

Beautiful, spacious home. Close to the Silos and other popular Waco attractions.

I reserved with TravelStation on Vrbo well in advance. Before check-in—after flights and plans were set—TravelStation cancelled, saying the home had been sold.

Their replacement options were:

Properties are roughly an hour away from our original destination

Smaller units that didn’t accommodate our group

A real estate sale doesn’t happen overnight; the company likely knew the home might be taken off the market, yet left the listing active and accepted my money anyway. That decision forced me to spend extra time searching for alternative lodging and pay more to secure something comparable.

Listing inventory that may be pulled and then cancelling without a truly equivalent substitute is unethical and unprofessional. Travelers rely on hosts to honor confirmed bookings; TravelStation did not. I suggest looking elsewhere unless you’re comfortable with sudden changes and additional costs.

Enjoyed my stay, quick and easy process to check in, I did not experience any issues during my stay. The apartment was cleaned and as described online. Close to the old town and it was quiet around the area.
