Thesis AI is wildly overpriced for what it delivers, and the gap between the marketing and the actual product is staggering.
First, it costs a fortune. That alone would be tolerable if the service reliably produced what it claims to produce. It does not. Despite an explicit prompt and strict guidelines, it generated a 25,000-word document when I asked for 5,000–6,000. That is not a minor deviation; it is a fundamental failure to follow instructions. The result was utterly useless: bloated, unfocused, and impossible to work with in any meaningful way.
Even worse, the model pays zero attention to messages, edits, or corrective feedback. You can be as clear and prescriptive as you like; it simply regurgitates whatever it wants, regardless of what you request. That makes the entire workflow pointless, because there is no genuine iteration or refinement, only repetition.
The technical side is equally disastrous. The download function did not work at all, throwing error messages repeatedly even after multiple attempts at troubleshooting. The only way to retrieve the text was to copy and paste from Overleaf, which then left my document riddled with thousands of lines of code. I originally signed up for what was advertised as a single-use, pay-per-month service to help someone with a research paper. I approved ONE payment only (from 23 April to 23 May) and I have the single receipt to prove it.
Months later, when checking my statement, I discovered that Thesis.ai had continued charging my card every month without permission. These charges went unnoticed until September/October. As soon as I realised, I contacted them through their website to request a refund and to stop all payments. They refused the refund. They ignored my request to stop payments. They even continued charging me in November, despite my complaint.
There is no phone number, no real customer support, and no way to speak to an actual person. Their tool produces low-quality, often useless output compared to what they promise online. The entire setup feels deliberately designed to trap people into hidden recurring payments. I have now had to go through my credit card company to block them completely, as this is the only way to stop the unauthorised charges.
Please stay away from Thesis.ai.
They mislead customers, provide a poor-quality service, and take money without consent.
I am sharing this so no one else loses money to this fraudulent company.

As soon as you subscribe, they start charging your account every month without your consent, and there is no way to stop it directly from your user account.

I tried reaching out to their customer service multiple times via email — not a single reply. Their contact information is fake, and no one ever responds to inquiries. It feels like they purposely set everything up to avoid any form of communication. Even when I searched for other ways to contact them, nothing worked — the phone numbers are fake, the emails are dead, and there's zero presence of any legitimate customer support.

This is nothing but a scam designed to **trap people** into recurring payments while providing a service that is completely useless. I have wasted my money, my time, and my patience on this fraudulent site. I strongly advise anyone considering using Thesis.ai to stay far away. This company operates in bad faith, with no respect for customers, no ethical standards, and no intention of delivering on what they advertise.

If I could rate them zero or negative stars, I would without hesitation. It’s shocking that such a scam is still running online. Thesis.ai should be reported, banned, and shut down for good.
