Firstly, I would like to say that the show itself was amazing. Paddington was absolutely adorable, and all of the actors were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the production itself.

The reason for our low score was entirely due to the experience we had with the Savoy Theatre staff and, in particular, the after-sales service we received following our visit.

We had a young couple seated directly in front of us who behaved in a manner that was extremely disruptive throughout the performance. They talked constantly, repeatedly moved around in their seats, appeared to show signs of being intoxicated, and were inconsiderate of those around them. The lady seated next to us was visiting from Germany specifically to see Paddington, which made it particularly disappointing that her experience was also affected.

Our main concern, however, is not simply the behaviour of these two individuals, but how the situation was managed by the theatre.

During the first act, we informed an usher about the disruption. We saw the usher speak to the couple, and we assumed the matter would be dealt with. Unfortunately, despite this intervention, their behaviour continued for the remainder of the performance. They appeared to ignore the usher's request to calm down, as well as requests from other audience members around them.

What was particularly disappointing was that, having been made aware of the situation, the theatre did not appear to monitor it afterwards. The disruption continued for the rest of the performance and significantly affected not only our enjoyment but also that of other people seated nearby.

In hindsight, I regret not leaving my seat to find a manager and raising the issue again. However, we had booked these tickets months in advance and were looking forward to the experience. It was extremely frustrating to have a performance we had been anticipating for so long significantly spoiled by two individuals whose behaviour, in our view, should have resulted in further intervention and potentially them being asked to leave.

We were so disappointed with the way the situation was handled that we emailed the theatre once we arrived home to explain our experience and give the theatre an opportunity to address our concerns.

Unfortunately, the response from Francesca, the Theatre Administrator, was another disappointment. We were told that “we have reviewed the information available to us” and that “we now consider this matter closed.”

I found the tone of this response particularly disappointing. I was not expecting a generic dismissal of our concerns from what is regarded as a world-class West End theatre. We were not simply complaining about two badly behaved audience members; we were raising a concern about how a known and ongoing disruption was handled by the theatre and about the lack of meaningful follow-up afterwards.

The production itself deserves enormous praise, but unfortunately our overall experience was let down by the theatre's handling of the situation and the subsequent response to our complaint.

I hope the Savoy Theatre will take this feedback seriously, particularly regarding how staff monitor and respond to disruptive audience behaviour once a complaint has been made. A little more follow-up and consideration could have made a significant difference to our experience.

Afternoon tea booked, firstly went in American bar and although lots of lower tables for two free we were given a little high tiny table with no real room, also took us to ask the waiter to serve us sadly !!
Afternoon tea booked but again wrong tea served and also charged us for a high tea but only standard afternoon tea provided !! Good job we checked the bill ! Staff were lovely though …

There are not enough stars for the experience you recieve at this amazing hotel.just got back after a week there celebrating my hubbys 80th birthday.Every single person that works at this establishment front of house to people behind the scenes.A masive thank you to you all god willing see you next year to add to our memories of the Savoy London

Where do I even begin.. stayed at The Savoy, London last weekend. This was the start of my 60th birthday celebrations.

Every aspect of this hotel is exceptional, the food, the decor and especially, the staff are most definitely 5⭐️

On check in we were upgraded to a beautiful two bedroom family suite. For us this was a fabulous treat and very much welcomed. In the room there was chocolate, champagne and a disposable camera. Guest relations had gone to the trouble of printing a fancy Harry Styles (replica) ticket. This is what the disposable camera was for. Our daughter took pictures at the concert. Little or should I say big touches with attention to detail made our stay very personal. Turndown service was a lovely touch.

During your visit, if you have room after a delicious breakfast then try Scoffs. They serve very tasty scones and coffee in the afternoon.

Overall we had the most amazing 3 nights at The Savoy. This now ticked from my bucket list but we will most definitely be back.

A lovely change from our working 3⭐️ life where we get to be treated and live like royalty. We feel very spoiled.

visited The Savoy for Afternoon Tea in June 2026 and, unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations for such an iconic venue.
We arrived around 30 minutes early and were directed to wait in the American Bar, which was perfectly reasonable. However, the service there was only average and lacked the attentiveness you would expect at this level.
When it was time for our booking, we then had to wait a further 10 minutes before being seated. On arrival at the table, we were immediately informed that the experience was limited to 1 hour and 45 minutes. While I understand the need for timings, the way this was communicated set a rushed tone from the outset.
The staff themselves were friendly and clearly doing their best, but they appeared overstretched given the volume of guests. As a result, the entire experience felt hurried and lacked the relaxed, indulgent atmosphere typically associated with luxury afternoon tea.
Throughout the experience, we were reminded multiple times to finish up, which further added to the sense of being rushed. Our leftover food was packed away, and towards the end, staff were noticeably waiting nearby for us to leave, which made it feel quite uncomfortable and far from the relaxed setting you would expect.
The food was good, but nothing particularly memorable or distinctive—especially when considering The Savoy’s reputation and price point.
For a venue of this calibre, I expected a more seamless, refined, and unhurried experience. Afternoon tea should feel like a special occasion where you can relax and enjoy time with friends and family. Instead, it felt more like a managed turnover of guests rather than a premium experience.
Overall, I would not recommend based on this visit.

This hotel was fantastic and really dog friendly which is my number one requirement. The service level and check in was superb and I look forward to returning. Big shout to our butler!!

My experience of my visit to the Savoy Hotel St Hellier Jersey was truly great. from the comfortable room. the friendly efficient staff The lovely hotel surroundings.
They also serve a fantastic breakfast. They have a terrace with sunbeds and garden furniture around an inviting pool..which is open from April time. I recommment this hotel for an extremely enjoyable visit located 10 minutes from the town centre.

It was my birthday and we celebrated it with a breakfast at The Savoy.

We were truly enchanted. Chef Gerald Quadros personally came to our table to welcome us, the staff were super attentive, the breakfast was just sublime - beautifully cooked and presented. The ambience of the restaurant couldn't set a better scene for the day to come.

We left with a spring in our step, fed and pampered. We also left with a set of truly gorgeous desserts for us to enjoy in the evening. The Savoy knows how to make its guests feel special!

Thank you, thank you, Savoy. Thank you Chef! Thank you to the waiting staff. This was a very, very special treat and one I will remember for years to come.

The hotel and staff are amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure your vist is memorable and enjoyable. We felt seen and listened to.
The Gala was just amazing. Fantastic entertainment and food as well as great service.
To see the London New Years Eve fireworks was the cherry on the cake.

Housekeeping stole my husband's wallet so yes, a 0 star stay! It's really disappointing because we had the best stay at Fairmont Makati, a sister hotel. I'm disappointed in security because they keep saying it's likely a mistake and got tossed in the linens and they're searching the linens. They also said they hope we find it in our luggage. It is NOT a mistake. It was on a table. You cannot gaslight us; it is housekeeping. Just because you review security cameras outside our room, doesn’t mean she didn’t stuff it in her bra inside the room. This hotel stay cost us $8,000 USD for a 4 night stay. We should not be fearing safety and security. Instead we filed a police report in a foreign county. Their inperson response to this with their “investigation” has ZERO RESOLUTION and their customer service is trash. This is also happening midpoint in our trip so hub has to travel from London to Paris with no cc's and cash. I hate this place. I hope The Savoy remains cursed 2026.

Stunning rooms, although I think a little overpriced, stayed for 1 night, staff very helpful, didn’t eat here so I can’t review the restaurants side. Was lovely to experience it and able to enjoy London on an evening

We visited the Savoy with work colleagues on Friday. On arrival our table in the American bar was not ready and we had to wait so just as we were about to take a walk about, a waiter from the Gordon Ramsey bar heard our predicament and immediately went above and beyond to ready a table for us while we waited which was adjacent.
The service we received was amazing and Solomon checked on us throughout our visit to ensure we were happy with the service.
It is this kind of attention to detail that would make me revisit. He is a credit to the hotel.

A good London hotel for meetings. Food is okay but not superb - could be better. Staff are really attentive and kind. Some of our partners use the Savoy for events and have found it a good option,

This was my 3rd visit to the Savoy and my how things have changed.
On arriving my friend and I headed for the American bar which had been recommended to us. No issues in the bar at all and all staff attentive. However we did notice that the chap stood at the desk between the grill and the American bar was chewing. Really?
After a drink, we moved on to the River Restaurant where we had booked lunch. The 2 members of staff behind this desk initially ignored us and finished their conversation. Again not acceptable. We were then asked if we would like to put our coats in the cloakroom which we had done on arriving at the hotel and were obviously not holding any outer gear.
We were shown to our table. Staff in here were great and no issues with them but I couldn’t believe the layer of dust on the windowsill. REALLY?! You could actually write in it. Not the standard you expect from somewhere like this . We will look elsewhere next time. Sorry Savoy, but you need to pull your finger out. I’m sure Mr Ramsay wouldn’t be impressed either considering his name is attached to the restaurants.

Disgusting stains on the bedding, dirty and staff looking down on me as if I was unworthy to stay there. Over priced too.

We visited the Savoy for afternoon tea.it was for a special occasion. This was our first visit to the Savoy Gallery .
We all enjoyed the experience .The staff were great ,if alittle rehersed with the conversation 😊
I want to offer some feedback ,
We sat at a round table with three cake stands . We could not see each other and I could only have conversation with the person sitting next to me. It was also loud as the piano was playing which is great but hard to communicate across a table with three cake stands
The flavours of the sandwiches were hard to taste and the cakes were alittle disappointing in presentation and flavour .I was looking forward to the scones however they seemed to have been alittle under cook .I am no chef but have had many afternoon teas across the country so I am aware of what I like.
The teas were amazing and the lemon verbena seemed to have been a hit .
The history and the architecture of the space was without question the highlight and we left feeling special.

Afternoon tea at the Savoy is one of the most memorable days. 4 generations of the family waiting staff were so nice cheerful and friendly what an absolutely fabulous afternoon tea the food was outstanding couldn’t have asked for a better day
