No guidance on building control
The installation method clearly explained (into PIR boards). My electricians were unable to use the very large product because they had no method to carve out the large hole without invalidating the insulation and building controls.

Svar fra Thermahood Downlight Covers
Hello, thank you very much for your comments, yes when fitting into PIR the work really needs to be planned and Thermahood fitted whilst installing the ceiling including the PIR. Having downlights penetrating the PIR board without sealing them is a shocking waste of insulation, labour and money.
Speedy response.
Problem with delivery was quickly rectified. Courteous and easy to work with the company.

I decided upon this product after being concerned with insulation covering my ceiling lights and Googling on the subject and seeing their video.ts
I decided upon this product after reviewing their video on how the product worked and how it is installed. Impressed I ordered 2 packs of 10 as I have over 40 ceiling lights. With hindsight I should have have purchased 1 pack to see how it went. The problem I have is that my lights are probably fire rated as their construction includes a metal cylinder above the light. Fitting the thermahood will be tight and may need to I am not a trade professional and so my own fault, I was concerned as I lay more insulation over the top of my lights and wanted them as safe as possible. Perhaps their video could be clearer as to the type of light fitting it works with.
Delivery was reasonable quick and I have no complaints. I
